Glenn Beck Tea Party: Burn College Text Books

Daily Kos

GLENN: Now, the other thing that you need to do is stay vigilant. There is a concerted effort right now. You can tell when you're making a difference because the media will ignore you or the media will try to destroy you. And boy, oh, boy is the media out to destroy the tea party. I'm going to give you one example here and it's on how they are trying to destroy the 9/12 Project, and it shows you how irresponsible the media is because I asked Stu ‑‑ I got this and I said, Stu, can you look into this? Just spend two minutes and see what you can find. After, I'm not kidding, a two‑minute investigation, we found the truth behind what is going on, on this one project.

Now, I'm telling you this project, I'm using this as an example because this is exactly what the left crazy blogs and the left, you know, the media matters and everybody else, this is what they're doing. They are telling, the Huffington Post is telling people, make sure you go to these tea parties and bring cameras. We have intelligence that shows that organizations are showing up to disrupt. Whether or not it happens and I mean, I can't tell you what a stupid move it is on their part to go ‑‑ you don't go into a crowd and try to infiltrate and try to make it look like you're a ‑‑ yeah, I'm a crazy conservative. And that's exactly what they are going to do. There are people that are painting signs. I won't even tell you what they have instructed people to paint signs as. Horrible, horrible things. They are going to try to make look horrible. And take pictures so the media has that, okay?

If you think that's crazy, I asked Stu to do an investigation. Tell me about the video here quickly, Stu.

STU: Okay. Basically there's a video that I've got posted, all of these blogs that you had mentioned talked about it. It talked about at a Glenn Beck tea party, burn the books was the headline. Has a little transcript of a woman yelling "Burn the books" and going through all the stuff about how she wanted to burn all the crazy college books and all the evolution books, blah, blah blah. We have the audio of that.

GLENN: Play the audio here. This is from apparently the 9/12 project meeting where people could come and talk. I told you to do this. I actually told you to meet at your house, you know, get to know people and then maybe meet at your house so you knew who people were but ‑‑

STU: This is at a public, a restaurant of some sort.

GLENN: This is at a public restaurant. I guess anybody could attend and I don't even know if it's ‑‑ she was the one that labeled this at Glenn Beck 9/12 project.

STU: Yeah, that's their evidence of that one.

GLENN: Yeah. There's nothing in the picture that says 9/12, nobody says 9/12 but we don't know.

STU: Except her.

GLENN: Except her, the one taking the video. Here's the audio.

(Audio playing)

STU: They are talking in the background here. This is some other guy talking now.

GLENN: They are talking about brainwashing.

Stop, stop stop, stop stop. Here's a guy: You can't be serious about that. "Oh, yes, I am." You are talking about, seriously talking about burning all the books? "Oh, yes, all those ones that are brainwashing our kids are evolution and stuff like that." Okay. So that's what she's doing.

STU: Yeah, we need the end of the video.

GLENN: Oh, we need the end of the video? Go ahead.

(Audio playing)

STU: Okay. So now it's difficult to hear there but you can hear it on your computer. First of all, "Rock on" is the person who's rooting to burn all books, really saying rock on. Do you believe it?

GLENN: Not evidence.

STU: Did that sound legitimate, though?

GLENN: This is crazy, but there are crazy people out there.

STU: Now, you can hear her, if you have your computer and you hear it turned up, you can hear her laugh as he walks away. First step, okay? Now she has also a couple other videos, one that she's, quote, has a hidden camera and she's trying to goad some guy into saying, you know, saying some sort of revolutionary thing, which he doesn't say.

GLENN: Okay. Wait a minute. And that is at this 9/12 thing?

STU: Yeah, same project, just another video she had posted. Then there's this third video, the "Pledge of Allegiance" to the flag. It's very difficult to here because she's trying to portray that she's a normal person at this meeting for the purposes that you and I would go to to support it but in reality she's not. She's there to try to make fun of it and make light of it.

GLENN: Can we play the "Pledge of Allegiance"?

STU: Yes.

GLENN: Or is it worth hearing?

STU: You can hear it. Listen for a while.

(Audio plays)

STU: You can hear her laugh. Now she's going to start making sarcastic comments here in a second.

GLENN: And she's not saying anything.

STU: Okay, you know what? People say God bless America all the time. Now, you need to look ‑‑ this is more research already than all these blogs have done that we've just talked to. But again this is all just, she seems odd.

GLENN: Could be.

STU: She's making comments and then laughing at them after. Certainly sounds like it's not legitimate.

GLENN: Not somebody I want in my home if she's serious, not somebody I want in my home if she's not serious.

STU: Exactly. But then you go, so you click on YouTube. You have these options where you can click on videos, other videos she has uploaded which, you know, again there's a lot of stuff there. There's also stuff that she's marked as her favorite videos. We have now ‑‑ remember this is a woman yelling supposedly "God bless America" after the "Pledge of Allegiance," a very patriotic religious person. This is one of her favorite videos titled I believe If Atheists Rule the World." Play that atheist one, Dan.

(Audio plays).

STU: So you get the point of this had one. Dan, that's enough. Which is basically look at the dumb Christians being ‑‑ these are atheists, you know, people who don't think Christians are idiots and they are saying things that they believe Christians would say to try to be funny.

GLENN: Okay. Now, this is one that she made or she linked to?

STU: This is one of her favorites. Another one of her favorites was David Letterman's top 10 Bush screwups.

GLENN: Okay.

STU: Another one of her favorites was a guy saying how he wants Ohio to secede from the union because it's a red state. This is back after the 2004 election. And you go through that. Now, she also up ‑‑ I'm going to have to point out that she also uploaded photos, pictures of her friends and her smoking pot. So the question is here as you get through all this evidence, is this person really someone who has converted themselves from religion‑hating pot‑head to true blue conservative before this meeting? I don't know. Maybe she did.

GLENN: Maybe she is the one who said, you know what, I've got to give up pot, I've got to find Jesus and I've got to get to a 9/12 meeting.

STU: Yes.

GLENN: That's a very ‑‑ that is possible.

STU: Now, it was approximately a week or two before this she linked to the anti ‑‑

GLENN: The evolution one.

STU: The evolution one.

GLENN: So wait. In a week she went from making fun of people who say evolution isn't right because we would all dissolve, a week later she is saying burn all the books.

STU: And God bless America. Now, one of our computer geeks has also discovered that until recently she had a website that was deleted.

GLENN: Well, you know, sometimes people have said that things on websites and things out on the Internet, never actually erased. I've never believed that, but I also don't believe that, you know, we came from monkeys.

STU: Right, exactly. Up until this had been deleted, it was a post titled, "Religion ruins everything it touches" linked to a Carl Sagan video. Now, with the exception of that fact ‑‑ now, she had linked to the same Carl Sagan video in another way. But with the exception of the religion ruins everything it touches, everything that I just said was available within approximately two clicks from the main video. This is not an in‑depth ‑‑

GLENN: And where was this video ‑‑ this was found on main, if you will, mainstream left blogs?

STU: Yes. Oh, yeah, it was posted all around, Daily Kos, all the big ones. And it was this other site called YouTube which posted the video and lets you link to their other favorite videos and also videos they've posted.

GLENN: All right. So there's a two‑minute investigation for you. This is just to show you that this is what's going to happen. It is guerilla warfare with these people.

STU: Yeah.

GLENN: Listen to me. These are progressives. They have been waiting for 100 years. They have been moving and positioning. This is their moment. You are about to spoil their moment. You are about to expose their moment. You are now starting to get the information to where you say, oh, my gosh, I see how this is all coming together. And you see that it is not just a Democrat but a Democrat and Republican movement in the progressive way. I'm telling you that there is danger here and you need to be aware, you need to be peaceful, you need to be focused, you need to be vigilant, you need to understand not revolution; restoration. You need to understand that a restoration or even a revolution can happen the way Martin Luther King did it, peacefully, quietly. Let them say what they want to say. You know what the truth is. You stand by it every step of the way. Don't let them twist what you have to say.

(continued)

GLENN: So in a nutshell, Stu, summarize.

STU: Basically the important thing is the media portrayed this as, you know, conservative person, part of the 9/12 Project, wants to burn books. That's what this movement's about, they are just burning books.

GLENN: Right.

STU: What really happened is a girl going to one of these meetings trying to be funny. The reason she didn't take these other YouTube videos down from her site, she's not trying to be believed. I don't think she was trying to be believed. I think she was trying to make herself laugh. The problem is not her, she's just a girl going to be funny. The problem is the media actually picking up these liberal blogs. Now, remember this is a bad attempt at being a fake conservative to ruin these movements. There will be very good ones coming to the tea party and they will be there to cover them. But in the Huffington Post article on this fake video that they acted like it was real, they say the Huffington Post wants to have as many citizen journalists at as many of the April 15th events as possible. If you are interested in attending and want to send video, blah, blah blah, we'll contact you shortly with further instructions.

GLENN: Yeah, we will contact you. Now, don't contact us and just send us your video.

STU: No. We'll give you

GLENN: We will contact you and tell you instructions on what we want you to do.

STU: They want to find someone saying something racist. They want to find someone saying something violent and then they are going to blame you. They are going to blame conservatives, they are going to blame Glenn Beck, the 9/12 Project because Glenn Beck is now apparently responsible for all 544,000 members on this site for every individual thing they do. They are going to do everything they can to blame this movement, this idea for every little problem that they have at one of these things.

GLENN: You know, it is so amazing, it is so amazing and it's really sad.

On the radio program Monday, Glenn Beck, Pat Gray, and Stu Burguiere reacted to a recent Washington Post op-ed in which the author, Ron Charles, suggests that "as Confederate statues finally tumble across America, [and] television networks are marching through their catalogues looking to take down racially offensive content," perhaps the next items that should be up on the cancel-culture chopping block are "problematic books."

"Monuments celebrating racist traitors, which were erected to fabricate history and terrify black Americans, are not works of art that deserve our respect or preservation. Similarly, scenes of modern-day white comedians reenacting minstrel-show caricatures are not ironical interrogations of racism that we have to stomach any longer. But complex works of literature are large, they contain multitudes," Charles wrote.

He goes on to argue that "calibrating our Racism Detector to spot only a few obvious sins" is but an insidious source of self-satisfaction when compared to the process of critical debate on the values and intentions of history's literary legends.

"If cancel culture has a weakness, it's that it risks short-circuiting the process of critical engagement that leads to our enlightenment," Charles wrote. "Scanning videos for blackface or searching text files for the n-word is so much easier than contending with, say, the systemic tokenism of TV rom-coms or the unbearable whiteness of Jane Austen."

Could cancel culture really spiral all the way down to book burning? In the clip below, Glenn, Pat, and Stu agreed that this radical progressive movement is really about erasing America's history and overturning the foundation of our country. The fundamental transformation of America is happening now.

"Restoring Hope" has been a labor of love for Glenn and his team and tonight is the night! "Restoring the Covenant" was supposed to take place in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Gettysburg and Washington D.C. but thanks to COVID-19, that plan had to be scrapped. "Restoring Hope" is what was left after having to scrap nearly two years of planning. The Herald Journal in Idaho detailed what the event was supposed to be and what it turned into. Check out the article below to get all the details.

Glenn Beck discusses patriotic, religious program filmed at Idaho ranch

On July 2, commentator Glenn Beck and his partners will issue a challenge from Beck's corner of Franklin County to anyone who will listen: "Learn the truth, commit to the truth, then act on the truth."

Over the last few weeks, he has brought about 1,000 people to his ranch to record different portions of the program that accompanies the challenge. On June 19, about 400 members of the Millennial Choir and Orchestra met at West Side High School before boarding WSSD buses to travel to a still spring-green section of Beck's ranch to record their portion of the program.

The current riots and movement to erase America's history are exactly in line with the New York Times' "1619 Project," which argues that America was rotten at its beginning, and that slavery and systemic racism are the roots of everything from capitalism to our lack of universal health care.

On this week's Wednesday night special, Glenn Beck exposed the true intent of the "1619 Project" and its creator, who justifies remaking America into a Marxist society. This clever lie is disguised as history, and it has already infiltrated our schools.

"The '1619 Project' desperately wants to pass itself off as legitimate history, but it totally kneecaps itself by ignoring so much of the American story. There's no mention of any black Americans who succeeded in spite of slavery, due to the free market capitalist system. In the 1619 Project's effort to take down America, black success stories are not allowed. Because they don't fit with the narrative. The role of white Americans in abolishing slavery doesn't fit the narrative either," Glenn said.

"The agenda is not ultimately about history," he added. "It's just yet another vehicle in the fleet now driven by elites in America toward socialism."
