Glenn Beck: 10 Million Watchdogs

GLENN: I want to have a serious kind of ‑‑ I don't even know what to call ‑‑ a call to action here. I'd like to ask you to become a part of America's future. I'd like to ask you to become a part of the solution and not the problem. For the last few years ‑‑ and I'll just give a real quick update. Last hour go back in the archives, the radio archives at GlennBeck.com and listen to last hour's monologue at the top of the hour to give you kind of the history of where I've been and why I am doing what I do on the radio. But I have, in a nutshell if you've been listening for a while, I think you can sense the darkness, the sadness quite honestly that has been in me for the last couple of years and specifically in the last year. We are headed for real destruction, and I have been ‑‑ I feel like I have been a watchman on the tower just as much as you a re, and you know the frustration of just trying to wake your friends up and they won't listen to you. And you're like, jeez! Well, what ‑‑ part of the problem for me is I have felt like I have been behind the game. They had such a lead on us, I couldn't figure out, and it really started with George Bush violated the border policy. That's when I was like whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, whoa, what? How can you say you are trying to keep us safe but you won't secure the border; that doesn't make any sense at all. And that's when I started to question everything in my government and say, wait a minute, these things don't make sense. And they're huge. And I couldn't figure it out and I couldn't figure it out and I couldn't figure it out. And then I warned against John McCain and Barack Obama, but Barack Obama's such an obvious Marxist: No, no, no, that's crazy talk. "We're going to be socialist!" "No, no, no, that's crazy talk." And here we are. Nobody would listen. Because I couldn't put all of the pieces together. Well, I will tell you that I have only begun to expose the pieces that we have found, and I know what is going on now. I know the answer. They are fundamentally transforming ‑‑ Pat, do you h ave the audio piece from Barack Obama we've been playing for the last few days where he says, you know, in five days we begin, and this is his word to us, this is his promise.

PRESIDENT OBAMA: We are five days away from fundamentally transforming the United States of America.

GLENN: And they cheered, and that is how liberty and freedom ends. The sound of a cheer. Our freedom and liberty is so fragile right now, we should whisper her name because too loud of a voice could shatter it. We have never been more fragile than we are right now, and people don't see it. They refuse to see it. But a few weeks ago I was on television, and I won't tell you what episode at this point, but I was on television and I said something on the air and it took my breath away. And when you know what episode, which I will share with you some point later, and you know what I discovered, what clicked finally in my head by accident, it darn near took my breath away, and you can see it once you know. You're like, whoa, what happened there? I went home and I rushed home to watch it on television. My gosh, could you see me? Do you know which one? Yeah. And it's when it clicked. And it's when I knew. It's when all of the pieces that didn't make sense suddenly made sense, and I knew what we were facing. What you don't know is I then went to several people that I really truly respect and I can tr ust, and I asked them to form a research team and, in fact, Stu didn't even know this until this morning, but I put a research team together that worked for me, and they are people that don't have an agenda. They just want the truth. And I have asked them to disprove my theory. But it involves transformation, and I hope to be able to come to you with names, dates, events, more than just threads, more than just feelings. But to show, be able to draw up the whole picture for you.

But once that clicked in my head, it was like a bomb went off in my head because I knew what we were truly facing and then I went into the deepest depression I had been in for a while on this because I'm like, you know, the end seemed, from what is it, Gene Wilder in the producers, "No way out, no way out." That's the way I felt. "I want my blue blankie. No way out." And I didn't know how to answer the one question that everybody asks me: What do I do. I haven't been able to give you that answer. I've been able to give you pieces, et cetera, et cetera. But I will tell you that I'm going to ask you a favor. I'm going to ask for you to ‑‑ you know, I've actually read in, you know, blogs: Glenn Beck is trying to build an army. No, I'm not. No, I'm not. But I am going to ask you to volunteer for service. You leave your gun at home but you bring your brain.

I learned something a couple of weeks ago when we got our second dog. There is something about a giant 100‑pound German Shepherd that's running towards the fence at you when you try to come to my house, it sends a message. But there's something even more powerful, more than twice as powerful and that is two dogs running towards the fence. I learned this because I was in training with the dogs, and they are canines. They're police dogs and I need them unfortunately because the world we live in, I need them for protection for the family. And that's the first line of defense. And as they were going through training there in the side yard, a neighbor was walking their dog and they stopped and they just watched for a second. And they watched as the dog trainer, the dog handler was there all in a giant suit, a dog bite suit and had a little club. It's kind of a soft club that he kind of irritates the dogs with and then me with the two German Shepherds. And my family was out there and we all we want through it and we do it all the time and make sure that they're well behaved, and as we sat there and I released the dogs and gave them the command and they went and they ran after this guy and pushed him down to the ground. And they just ‑‑ and they were ready to rip his arm off. I thought, boy, I don't want to be on the receiving end of that. There's a healthier fear that comes along. Then he said to me, he said, okay, and he really got him riled up and he's like, okay, you ready? Okay. And I said, yeah. And he's menacing. And he walked away about 20 feet and he said ‑‑ and he stood there with a club and he as like, come on, come on! And I released the dogs and he didn't move. And both the dogs stopped and just stared at him. And I said, what kind of horrible attack dog is that? He said, can you call them off? I said, yeah. I gave them the command and they came back to me. They put their faces up to my leg and I petted them and I'm thinking, bad dog; you're supposed to bite him. And he said, that's amazing. He said, your older dog, he said, he hasn't been through this training in four years. He said, he remembers. And I said, what? He didn't do anything. And he said, no, yes, he did. I didn't move. And if I'm not moving, if I'm not threatening, he's just supposed to watch me and make sure I don't move until you arrive. That's when a light bulb went off.

I know what's going on in our country now and I have a research team that is doing some research on this to be able to present you with the facts. When I have facts, when I have enough, I'm going to come to you. I can lay out the things that there is transformation coming, and I can point you in the direction, but I would like to have more. But I don't even think it's necessary now to have more. If you just continue to listen to the program, I will spell it out for you and you'll see it yourself and you will begin to see it. People are writing me now, they are seeing on television, they say, Glenn, I'm watching your show, I'm listening to your radio show, and I'm seeing it; oh, my gosh, how did I miss it. But I'm going to continue to do that. But I'm going to tell you now I have to remove ‑‑ I feel, I have just had this impression that I need to remove myself from the problem area now. I need to stop looking at the ‑‑ I know what the problem is. I have to stop admiring the problem, and I have to now look for the solutions. And I know what some of the solutions are, and they are coming to me fast and furious right now, and I have never been more hopeful because I think we got them. But I want to do the same thing that I did on the economy. I' m not going to come to you and just say, "Hey, let's do this!" This is too serious. It I took me a long time to come up with the answer for the economy and to warn you on the economy. I didn't come on the first day that I knew the economy was going to fall apart two years ago. I shut my mouth for a while.

The same thing with this. I didn't go on. I just kept saying to you, there's something wrong, there's something wrong, there's something wrong, this isn't right. But I took my time and did my research and did my homework. I am going to meet with some of the best people I can find, and I've already got them lined up, and I'm going to meet with people from several different fields, and I mean the best of the best. And I am going to find the answers and I am going to bring them to you, but here's what I need you to do first. I need you to be a constitutional watchdog because we need to stop these people in their tracks, and the one thing I learned is while there is one thing about one watchdog, there's something more than twice as powerful in two watchdogs. Now imagine with the radio audience and the television audience, imagine ten million watchdogs. I need you in the next couple of days to help me. This is like a 100 front war. He is overwhelming the system. It is right out of the playbook from Saul Alinsky. It is what a community organizer does: Overwhelm the system. That's why people call me ‑‑ in fact, somebody just called me a little while ago and said, Glenn, how come you didn't talk about this. I did. I just no longer have the time to stand on one issue because the entire forest is on fire.

But see, here's the secret: I or Rush or anybody else, they don't have to do it alone. We don't need the mainstream media anymore. The paradigm is about to shift. Don't worry about the media. The media will find themselves in the dustbin of history. We have each other. We currently have all forms of communication available to us. We currently ‑‑ and I don't know how long this lasts, but we currently have an unrestricted Internet where we can communicate and we can find the answers. You will be amazed on how many answers you can find. You will be amazed on how transparent things really are when you just know what to look for.

I need you to help me define what the fronts are. What are the lines that they are moving in and pushing on. For instance, healthcare cannot be passed. No form of universal healthcare. Because it is not about the healthcare. It is about the structure, and I will outline this in the next few days. Structure is what matters. Nothing else matters. Structure is what matters. We need to watch the czars. We need to watch cap and trade, structure on cap and trade. We need to watch ‑‑ quite honestly we need to guard, as much as I hate every member of congress, we need to guard congress because the executive branch is devouring all other branches. They are devouring it, and the people in congress are so stupid, so insipid or so in on the game, they are going to find themselves irrelevant wildly fast. We must guard all three branches of government. It is a shell game. It is a transformation. And what I said to you over a year ago, you will wake up someday and your country will not be the same. It's happening, and it's happening right now. But one person can't watch it all. No media source can even do it. I have ‑‑ it's Sophie's Choice every day. I come in and I don't know what to talk about because I've got so much to talk about. I can't cover it all. I can't do it all justice. Don't worry about it. You just make sure they don't move. You just pin them and make sure they don't move. That's all that has ‑‑ there needs to be wrenches in the gears of this government. I have never been for a "Do nothing" congress. I mean, I like it when they do nothing. It's much better when they're doing nothing than something. But I have never been ‑‑ I've always hated the obstructionists. I've always hated the parties who were like, "Yeah, well, now they're just going to thwart everything." And they do. The Republicans do it and the Democrats do it. It's time for the people to do it. Stop the machinery of this government because they are building something, and you do not want to have that unveiled. Believe me, you do not want that unveiled. Stop the machinery of government. Watch them on ‑‑ and here's the great thing. You don't have to watch them on all fronts. There are 10 million listeners. Pick the thing that interests you. Are you into guns? Are you into healthcare? Do you know it? Do you feel it? Do you watch something on TV and say, "I know this, I know what they're doing!" Follow it! Don't pay attention to all of it. You'll get lost. That's what they want us to do. So don't follow all of it. Follow the thing that your gut says "This is important and I understand this and I get this." Just follow that one thing and alert me. We will put the gears into at least neutral. Eventually we will jam that back into reverse. And if we don't, we'll strip all the damn gears because it will be time to get out of the car and rebuild it the American way. So I ask you, will you be a constitutional watchdog. The time has come to bark and to bark loudly. Understand what this means. What this means is you may be called a racist, a homophobe, a hate monger, you want to starve children. Whatever it is, whatever your category is, they will find a way to ridicule you because that's what Saul Alinsky taught them to do: Have no fear. No fear no more! Stand up! You know the truth. Stand for the truth because only the truth will set us free.

On Monday's radio program, Glenn Beck and Stu Burguiere discussed former Starbucks CEO and progressive Howard Schultz, a lifelong Democrat who has not only been disowned by the Democrat Party but he can no longer set foot inside of a Starbucks store because of his success in business.

In this clip, Stu explained how at one time Starbucks only sold coffee in bags until Schultz, an employee at the time, convinced the company to open a Starbucks cafe.

At one point, the owners came close to closing down the cafe, but Schultz eventually managed to purchase the company and transform it into the empire that it is today.

Stu continued, describing how Schultz, a lifelong Democrat, went on to implement liberal corporate policies that earned the company a reputation for being a "beacon" of liberalism across the country.

"And now he (Schultz) can't even get into the Democrat Party," Stu said."That is craziness," Glenn replied.

Citing a "60 Minutes" interview, Glenn highlighted the journey that Schultz traveled, which started in the New York City projects and evolved, later becoming the CEO of a coffee empire.

"This guy is so American, so everything in business that we want to be, he has taken his beliefs and made it into who he is which is very liberal," Glenn explained.

This weekend, March 17, Rep. Rashida Tlaib will be speaking at (Council on American Islamic Relations) CAIR-Michigan's 19th annual "Faith-Led, Justice Driven" banquet.

Who knows what to expect. But here are some excerpts from a speech she gave last month, at CAIR-Chicago's 15th annual banquet.

RELATED: CLOSER LOOK: Who is Rep. Ilhan Omar?

You know the speech is going to be good when it begins like this:

CAIR-Chicago 15th Annual Banquet: Rashida Tlaib youtu.be

It's important to remember CAIR's ties to the Muslim Brotherhood. Think of CAIR as a spinoff of HAMAS, who its two founders originally worked for via a Hamas offshoot organization (the Islamic Association for Palestine (IAP)).

A 2009 article in Politico says feds "designated CAIR a co-conspirator with the Holy Land Foundation, a group that was eventually convicted for financing terrorism."

The United Arab Emirates has designated CAIR a terrorist organization.

In 1993, CAIR spokesman Ibrahim Hooper told a reporter for the Minneapolis Star Tribune:

I wouldn't want to create the impression that I wouldn't like the government of the United States to be Islamic sometime in the future.

In 1998, CAIR co-founder Omar Ahmad said:

Islam isn't in America to be equal to any other faith, but to become dominant. The Koran … should be the highest authority in America, and Islam the only accepted religion on Earth.

Notice the slight underhanded jab at Israel. It's just one of many in her speech, and is indicative of the growing anti-Semitism among Democrats, especially Tlaib and Omar.

Most of the speech, as you might expect, is a long rant about the evil Donald Trump.

I wonder if she realizes that the Birth of Jesus pre-dates her religion, and her "country." The earliest founding of Palestine is 1988, so maybe she's a little confused.

Then there's this heartwarming story about advice she received from Congressman John Dingell:

When I was a state legislator, I came in to serve on a panel with him on immigration rights, and Congressman Dingell was sitting there and he had his cane, if you knew him, he always had this cane and he held it in front of him. And I was so tired, I had driven an hour and a half to the panel discussion at the University of Michigan Ann Arbor campus. And I sit down, my hair is all messed up, and I said, 'Oh, my God, I'm so tired of this. I don't know how you've been doing it so long Congressman. They all lie.' And he looks at me and he goes. (She nods yes.) I said, 'You know who I'm talking about, these lobbyists, these special interest [groups], they're all lying to me.' … And he looks at me, and he goes, 'Young lady, there's a saying in India that if you stand still enough on a riverbank, you will watch your enemies float by dead.'

What the hell does that mean? That she wants to see her enemies dead? Who are her enemies? And how does that relate to her opening statement? How does it relate to the "oppression" her family faced at the hand of Israel?

Glenn Beck on Wednesday called out Reps. Ilhan Omar (D-Minn.) and Rashida Tlaib (D-Mich.) for their blatantly anti-Semitic rhetoric, which has largely been excused by Democratic leadership. He noted the sharp contrast between the progressive principles the freshmen congresswomen claim to uphold and the anti-LGBTQ, anti-feminist, anti-Israel groups they align themselves with.

Later this month, both congresswomen are scheduled to speak at fundraisers for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, a pro-Palestinian organization with ties to Islamic terror groups including Hamas, Hezbollah, al-Qaeda, and the Islamic State.

Rep. Tlaib will be speaking at CAIR-Michigan's 19th Annual Banquet on March 17 in Livonia, Michigan, alongside keynote speaker Omar Suleiman, a self-described student of Malcolm X with links to the Muslim Brotherhood. Suleiman has regularly espoused notably "un-progressive" ideas, such as "honor killings" for allegedly promiscuous women, mandatory Hijabs for women, death as a punishment for homosexuality, and men having the right to "sex slaves," Glenn explained.

Rep. Omar is the keynote speaker at a CAIR event on March 23 in Los Angeles and will be joined by Hassan Shibly, who claims Hezbollah and Hamas are not terrorist organizations, and Hussam Ayloush, who is known for referring to U.S. armed forces as radical terrorists.

It wasn't too long ago that Blanca thought it was all over.

Born in Puerto Rico, Blanca lived in New York most of her life. Recently, a reporter from the Daily Mail sent a reporter to interview Blanca. When the reporter arrived, Blanca was calmly sculpting wood in the front yard of her modest, 860-square-foot home down the street from a cemetery. Occasionally, a drug deal takes place out front, and the house is crumbling in parts, but Blanca has been fixing it up since she moved in a couple years ago, and this is home.

Reading the article, you can feel the writer's surprise, you can feel an unsuspecting writer being wrapped in Blanca's story.

RELATED: We are all now dumber for what Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez had to say

By day, Blanca works for the Lake County School District as a clerical assistant.

This is a story about mothers.

Blanca is a woman who makes lasagna for visiting relatives and watches over her 78-year-old mother, "who suffers from pulmonary fibrosis and often breathes oxygen from a concentrator, and a loud rescue mutt named Tammy."

This is a story about daughters.

Because Blanca always believed in her daughter. Believed her daughter would be important. And, regardless of your opinion on her daughter—and, believe me, you have an opinion about her daughter, because everybody has an opinion about her daughter—there's no denying the wholesomeness of this story, so hear me out.

"Her dad and I were preparing for Alexandria's birth and still picking names," Blanca told the reporter. "And he came up with 'Alexandria.' I thought about it for a while and I said: 'Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez. That sounds very powerful. That'll be her name.'"

Yes, that Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the infamous millennial Democratic Socialist who represents New York's 14th district (covering the Bronx and Queens) in the House of Representatives.

And her mother is Blanca Ocasio-Cortez.

Blanca married Sergio Ocasio in Puerto Rico, then moved to New York. She knew very little English, but she learned. She worked the jobs nobody else wanted. She mopped floors at night, she drove school buses, she answered phones, took orders.

In 1989, she gave birth to her first child, a girl, in The Bronx, New York City. Two years later, she gave birth to a boy.

Until Alexandria was five, the family lived in a one-bedroom condo in the Parkchester neighborhood of the Bronx.

Theirs was an American struggle.

Theirs was an American struggle. Sergio worked hard until he had his own business, and the small family pooled together their resources and took out a mortgage, and moved into "a small single-family house with a yard in nearby Yorktown Heights."

"We had a great life there," Blanca said. "Alexandria was very social, so she always had a bunch of girls over. She took over the shed in the backyard. She cleaned it up, put up curtains and photos and made it look nice, and that was like a clubhouse for her and her friends."

Blanca talks about her daughter the way any good mother does, recalling that her daughter was always talkative.

"When I took her to her pre-K interview, she didn't let me talk much. She was going on and on about knowing the alphabet and being able to count."

In 2008, while Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was a sophomore at Boston University, her father, Blanca's husband, died of lung cancer.

Overnight, Blanca had to become the breadwinner.

I was cleaning houses in the morning and working as a secretary at a hospital in the afternoon... it was still difficult making ends meet. At one point, I was skipping mortgage payments and we almost lost the house.

This is a story about a single mother who raised her family after her husband died of lung cancer.

As the Daily Mail notes:

Sergio's death put the family into a tailspin. He had no life insurance, two years of health care bills due and the money his business brought in dried out. Blanca recalls she faced foreclosure not just once, but twice.

"It was scary," Blanca told the reporter. "I had to take medicine I was so scared. I had to stop paying for the mortgage for almost a year. I was expecting someone knocking on the door to kick me out at any time. There were even real estate people coming around to take photos of the house for when it was going to be auctioned. The worst is that I only had $50,000 left to pay on the loan."

Funny enough, it was the bank, not the welfare office or the local church that helped her.

Blanca worked from 6am until 11pm.

And I prayed and prayed, and things worked out. After the children graduated from college, I figured it was time for me to move to Florida.

These days, Blanca lives in Eustis, Florida, a lakefront community of about 16,000 people near Orlando. She moved here just before Christmas in 2016. She'd been paying $10,000 a year in real estate taxes in New York. Now, she pays $600 a year.

When she first got here, the world, her world was much different. Her daughter was a bartender in New York and hadn't filed paperwork to become a Representative.

Really, though, this is a story about what it means to live in America.

"I love privacy and calm," Blanca said. "I don't like the limelight for myself and my family. But it seems that God played quite a joke on me with this politics stuff."

The Daily Mail sent reporter Jose Lambiet, presumably to do a hatchet job. The story is tempting: taxes are so severe in New York that even the mother of the wild-eyed Democratic Socialist representing that area can't even afford to live there. Really, though, this is a story about what it means to live in America.

And while liberal media has paraded the story around with that smug look on their faces, so have conservative outlets, and in both cases they've missed the real story. The human story. The story of all of us. Because Blanca is an American, same as you and me.
