Glenn Beck: Freedom of Speech Is Under Attack

Watch Glenn Beck weekdays at 5p & 2a ET on the Fox News Channel

America, I have to tell you, that your freedom of speech is under attack.

Our most precious right — the one that leads directly to freedom of religion and our freedom of the press, the supposed watchdogs of our Republic — is being brutally and viciously assaulted.

Here's what happened today:

Jake Tapper asked Robert Gibbs about the White House's war on Fox News. Gibbs responded: "We render opinion based on some of their coverage and the fairness of that coverage."

Tapper then says: "That's a pretty sweeping declaration that they're not a news organization. How are they different from, say another, say ABC, MSNBC, Univision?"

Gibbs then says: "You and I should watch sometime around 9 o'clock tonight or five this afternoon."

We've chronicled the White House onslaught against Fox News, which intensified over the weekend with the presidents' two main men, David Axelrod and Rahm Emanuel, using virtually the exact same words to smear Fox on their various Sunday talk show offensives.

Where is the rest of the so-called Fourth Estate? Are they crying foul? Are they challenging the pathetic nature of these attacks? Has a single one of these "watchdogs" dared to hint to the attackers that this channel consistently — during its news broadcasts, presents both sides; that the Pew Research Center found that Fox's coverage of the 2008 election campaign was the most balanced of any network; that then-presidential candidate Secretary of State Hillary Clinton even said Fox News treated her more fairly then the others:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

HILLARY CLINTON: There were a lot of times that I appreciated the commentators and reporters on Fox.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

Has anyone pointed out that if it's opinion or perspective the White House is concerned about, then they may want to look into the embarrassing, "thrill up their leg" bias of MSNBC — the network owned by GE. Wait, whose CEO is on Barack Obama's economic advisory panel?

This isn't about Fox News. Sadly, the other news organizations know that and are silent anyway. They've either become such cowards that they're willing to play along to get along or they're enjoying their new role as lapdogs for the administration, rather than watchdogs for the Republic.

So, what is this about? It's about a multi-pronged war on freedom of speech, waged by progressives, on *every front.

Take a look at what is happening in our educational system. While you're working to put food on your table, your kids are being indoctrinated at school:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

Mmm-mmm-mmm.

Barack Hussein Obama,

He said red, yellow, black or white,

All are equal in his sight.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

All are equal in his sight? These are things we used to have our children say or sing about Jesus. Now we can't even sing about Jesus at Christmas, but your kids are learning that it's Obama deciding equality.

As early as elementary school, our kids are taught that capitalism is wrong — even evil:

(BEGIN 'STORY OF STUFF' VIDEO CLIP)

NARRATOR: Then, along came the corporation. Now the reason the corporation looks bigger than the government, is that the corporation is bigger than the government! Of the 100 largest economies on Earth now, 51 are corporations. And, as the corporation has grown in size and power, we've seen a little change in the government where they're a little more concerned that things are working out for those guys than for us.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIP)

Yet, heaven forbid, while they're spooning that into your kids' brains, they fail to tell them about all the new legislation that's been bought and paid for by unions, global corporations and special interests. Maybe they don't tell them these things because they're too busy teaching your children about cross-dressing — as seen on Bill O'Reilly's show.

On our college campuses in 2005, the last time a study of this kind was done, 72 percent of professors identified themselves as liberal; 15 percent conservative. Seventy-two to fifteen! And if anything, my guess is, it's worse now. In our elite universities, 87 percent of professors said they were liberal; 13 percent conservative.

Let me paraphrase the White House minions David Axelrod, Rahm Emanuel and Robert Gibbs: That doesn't seem right. All I'm saying is that it's about "perspective." What kind of fair perspective are we getting from universities?

In the world of art, the White House has enlisted the aid of the top artists in the country to push their agenda with taxpayer dollars:

(BEGIN AUDIO TAPE)

MICHAEL SKOLNIC, RUSSELL SIMMONS POLITICAL DIRECTOR: The president has a clear arts agenda and has been very supportive of using art and supporting art in creative ways to talk about some of the issues that we face here in this country.

Continue to get involved in those things, to support some of the president's initiatives, but also to do things that we are passionate about and to push the president and to push his administration.

(END AUDIO TAPE)

State-sponsored propaganda. A couple of years ago, when it was discovered that the Pentagon was using propaganda to try to win the hearts and minds of the people of Iraq and Afghanistan, the left was outraged that the evil George Bush would dare engage in a propaganda campaign. Yet they are silent as this president uses propaganda against his own people.

I went to a Broadway play this weekend with my wife: "Memphis" — it was fantastic. Except for the two songs in it about "Hope and Change." Are Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod calling up Broadway producers now, asking them to help out with the agenda, the way Yosi Sargent did at the direction of Valerie Jarrett and Buffy Wicks?

It sure wouldn't be unprecedented. Look at what the White House has accomplished with "Service Week," all this week on TV as Michelle Obama announced. Sixty programs are incorporating some kind of service or volunteer theme into their shows.

Now, some will say that it's just easier for the media to do what the president asks them to do; that whenever there is a request like this, the networks comply because they don't want hassles with their licenses being renewed or whatever other government interference could result from non-compliance.

But is it really about service, or is it about a never-ending campaign?

White House Office of Public Engagement Deputy Director Buffy Wicks says: "Part of my role [at the White House] is working on service, and so when we were thinking about how do we take a lot of this energy that's out there, how do we translate folks who have just been engaged in electoral politics and engage them in really the process of governing, of being part of this administration in a little bit of a different way because politics is one thing and governing is something totally separate, we really saw service as the platform by which we can do that."

Notice, she didn't say it's about serving the country — she said it's about helping the administration. In other words: "Ask not what this country can do for you; ask what you can do for this administration."

Oh, I know what you can do! You can help them sign away U.S. sovereignty, under the new global warming treaty. And the way to help Barack Obama do that is to participate in Green Week.

Green Week is something really special for broadcast television — especially over at, wait for it, GE-owned NBC. NBC has all of their prime time lineup participate in fascinating "green" storylines when the now-annual event comes around. And who could forget the "very special" green event back in 2007, when NBC did their NFL halftime show, by candlelight:

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIPS)

BOB COSTAS: As part of NBC Universal's "Green is Universal" initiative, we have turned out the lights in the studio to kick off a week that will include more than 150 hours of programming designed to raise awareness on environmental issues.

Matt is actually live somewhere in the Arctic Circle. Hello Matt!

(END VIDEO CLIPS)

Just think of all the electricity they saved! I'm sure it made up for flying their reporters all over the world in jets, to some of the most remote locations on Earth with cameras and crew to cover horrifying scenes of global warming in the frigid cold of the Arctic, among other exotic locales, I'm sure the electricity saved, using candles in the studio at halftime, offset all of that.

That's akin to the story that came out yesterday on Arnold Schwarzenegger who, of course, is all about global warming and who used to fly his Gulfstream jet to get to work in Sacramento and just signed an environmental exemption bill, to clear the way for a new NFL football stadium in Los Angeles. So, obviously, Governor Schwarzenegger really believes in the planet, the environment, protecting the Earth from the ravages of climate change — unless, he needs to get to work really fast or L.A. is trying to woo a football team to town.

When will we say enough to all of this? On second thought, you'd better keep it to yourself, if you're around your kids, because they can see the effects of the "settled science" of global warming" for themselves, straight from Hollywood, on the big screen.

Any thinking human being knows this isn't about climate change; it's about redistribution of wealth. But that's OK, because Michael Moore is teaching us that capitalism is evil:

(BEGIN 'CAPITALISM' VIDEO CLIP)

MICHAEL MOORE: We're here to get the money back for the American people.

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: I understand sir, but you can't come in here.

MOORE: Can you just take the bag?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: No.

MOORE: Take it up there?

UNIDENTIFIED MALE: Absolutely not.

MOORE: I've got more bags. $10 billion probably won't fit in here.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

So, the progressive agenda permeates education, the arts, prime-time TV and movies. The same mindset is reflected in newspapers all across this country. Nearly all of those papers are failing miserably. So there's one area where the attacks will end, right?

Wrong.

President Obama says he'll help save the papers: "I haven't seen detailed proposals yet, but I'll be happy to look at them."

So we have education, arts, prime-time TV and the broadcast news, plus CNN and MSNBC, movies and newspapers — all promoting the progressive agenda.

Well, you might say, OK, at least there's still the Internet. So far, you'd be right. But this week, the so-called "net neutrality" issue comes up again in Congress. Here's yet another example of where your freedom of speech is being threatened in the name of "protecting" you from big, bad, evil, money-making corporations — in this case, Internet service providers.

You can still exercise your freedom of speech on talk radio. But again, you need to be protected from big bad, evil, money-making, non-diverse corporations. The fact that there are plenty of liberal talk stations that no one listens to, makes no difference to them. The fact that you have chosen to listen to a certain radio show and could choose to stop at any time is meaningless. They want you to be able to choose to end the life of an unborn child — but you can't choose to listen to "The Glenn Beck Program."

(BEGIN AUDIO CLIPS)

MARK LLOYD, FCC DIVERSITY 'CZAR': What we're really saying is that the Fairness Doctrine is not enough.

We are in a position where you have to, you have to say who is going to step down so someone else can have power?

(END AUDIO CLIPS)

So you can see the effort to silence Fox News isn't about Fox News. It's just the most visible target in the war on free speech.

(BEGIN VIDEO CLIPS)

RAHM EMANUEL, WHITE HOUSE CHIEF OF STAFF: The way to look at it — the way we — the president looks at it and we look at it, is it's not a news organization so much as it has a perspective.

DAVID AXELROD, SENIOR OBAMA ADVISER: They're not really a news station, if you watch, even it's not just their commentators but a lot of their news programming. It's really not news, it's pushing a point of view.

(END VIDEO CLIP)

Isn't having differing points of view... diversity?

I'm confused. How could this administration — through the FCC — be pushing for diversity and, at the same time, be trying to silence all those with a differing opinion on radio, TV, the arts, movies and newspapers?

And what does that leave you with? Your right to assemble? Oh no, that too is at stake.

Don't you see this is a full frontal assault on every avenue of free speech? Stay with us this week, as we uncover the effort to take away your First Amendment rights. We'll show you the people involved and the underhanded ways their trying to pull it off.

Elon Musk responded to allegations that he exposed himself to a corporate jet flight attendant by daring his accuser to "describe just one thing, anything at all (scars, tattoos, …) that isn’t known by the public."

"I have a challenge to this liar who claims their friend saw me “exposed” – describe just one thing, anything at all (scars, tattoos, …) that isn’t known by the public. She won’t be able to do so, because it never happened," Musk posted on twitter.

A Business Insider report on Thursday, alleged that a flight attendant for SpaceX's private jet fleet was paid $250,000 in 2018 to settle a sexual misconduct claim against the company's founder and CEO. A friend of the flight attendant signed a declaration accusing the tech billionaire of exposing himself to the attendant, who is also a licensed massage therapist, during an in-flight massage.

According to the declaration, the flight attendant told her friend that Musk asked her to come to his private cabin "for a full body massage" during a flight in late 2016. When she arrived, Musk "was completely naked except for a sheet covering the lower half of his body." The friend also told Insider that Musk propositioned the flight attendant, then "touched her thigh and told her he would buy her a horse."

One day before the Insider story was published, Musk predicted an escalation in political attacks against him after revealing on a podcast that he plans to vote Republican in the next election cycle.

Musk called the sexual misconduct allegations "wild accusations [that] are utterly untrue" and challenged his accuser to verify her claims by describing a certain something “not known by the public" about his private parts.

On the radio program Friday, Glenn Beck and Pat Gray reacted to the incredible "coincidence" of such allegations cropping up just days after the SpaceX CEO announced his intention to vote Republican in the next election cycle — not to mention joining Glenn's longrunning anti-ESG crusade by calling the corporate score system a "scam."

Anyone paying attention can see that President Biden is in dire straights come 2024, regardless of who his opponent may be. His administration has been workshopping several ideas to try and craft just the right message. One that will cut through all the noise (failures) and put him on a more solid footing should he go head-to-head in a rematch with the former President.

Biden called in the big guns and he wasn't afraid to call in a few favors either. He drew on his stint as VP and called Anita Dunn out of the bullpen and tapped the Center for American Progress Action Fund to try and help pull this one out. After an exhaustive six-month-long study into how President Trump was able to summon the magic of MAGA — they finally feel they have the winning message.

Dunn has gotten sloppy, however, since her days in the Obama administration. We obtained her contemporaneous notes and emails showing how they coined the term "ultra-MAGA," trying to get a little "extra pop" to his rhetoric. The leaked emails also show the evolution of the messaging over that same six-month period.

[The preceding Memo was a parody written by MRA writers Josh Jennings and Jon Boldt – not the Biden administration.]

Almost every week, new incriminating evidence is mined from Hunter’s wild laptop. And the proof is mounting that President Joe Biden is lying about his knowledge of his family’s crooked deal-making. Everyone knows Hunter Biden is a seriously degenerate guy. Anyone who has handled his infamous laptop needs a tetanus shot.

The salacious stuff on the laptop is sad and pathetic for sure, but that stuff is NOT what is most relevant to the United States. Glenn Beck exposes how the laptop is REALLY about Joe Biden, his abuse of power as vice president, and his ongoing denials now as president.

Now that the 2020 election has passed and their man is in office, the mainstream media have suddenly decided to admit Hunter’s laptop is not Russian disinformation after all. No one has done more research into the Biden family corruption than journalist and best-selling author Peter Schweizer. He has researched the depths of Hunter’s laptop and found more than racy photos. “These aren’t HUNTER’S business deals,” Peter says, “they benefit the WHOLE family.” And he has the emails to prove it.

But the mainstream media still insist President Biden is as pure as his thinning white hair in all of this. As Glenn reveals tonight, he is not. But will anyone in the Biden family see jail time? Americans are fed up with two sets of rules – one for regular citizens and one for the ruling elites.

Intelligent people know that wokerness plagues society and must be ridiculed and eradicated from conversations. But what happens when people lose their jobs for calling out the absurdity of woke ideology? What happens when corporations and media sources weaponize wokeness?

Here are five videos that will help us better understand a few of the many issues that wokeness inflicts on society and how we can stand against it.

Bye bye, Target. You crossed the line!

In this clip, BlazeTV host Allie Stuckey of "Relatable" explains how Target recently announced the sale of chest binders and "packing underwear" for women. She expresses how children can be negatively impacted by the sale of confusing clothing items for people suffering from gender dysphoria and the importance of loving the body God gave us.

Today, Allie notices that Target's stock experienced a 35-year record drop. Apparel was named as one of the two underperforming departments. Was pushback from critics of gender-affirming apparel the cause? It is hard to tell, but Allie encourages her audience to continue speaking out when corporations cross the line by making harmful products available for sale to the public.

Wokeness can get you fired

In this clip, Stu Burguiere covers a story about a man who challenged Black Lives Matter using nothing but data and was fired.

Here's the story: "I had been at Thomson Reuters for over six years—most recently, leading a team of data scientists applying new machine learning and artificial intelligence algorithms to our legal, tax and news data. We advised any number of divisions inside the company, including Westlaw, an online legal research service used by most every law firm in the country, and the newsroom, which reaches an audience of one billion every day around the globe. I briefed the Chief Technology Officer regularly. My total annual compensation package exceeded $350,000." Read more

"We live in the era of woke religion," says Stu.

Coca-Cola circumvents Constitution with TERRIFYING mandates on diversity

Glenn Beck loves Coca-Cola. So much so, in fact, that he refuses to drink Pepsi if Coke isn't available. But ... he says the time has come for him to give up his favorite soda. Why? Because Coca-Cola just announced some terrifying new company policies on diversity and equity. It sent out notices to all partnered law firms, demanding a required percentage of diverse attorneys on any legal team working for the corporation. The notice says all legal teams also must report these numbers quarterly and they will lose Coca-Cola's business if they do not comply.

"Equity is not the same thing as equality," Glenn said, adding that equality means we all have an equal chance, while equality means we all have the same outcome.

Glenn explains how mandates like this could affect everybody — even the guy working on the factory line or the truck driver delivering the drinks. Glenn also explains how Coke's new move is nothing less than a circumvention of the Constitution, and he predicts more companies (especially those in support of the Great Reset) will follow with similar policies, too.

Coca-Cola takes a 'pause' on woke initiatives after after pressure from the Right

Glenn followed up on a story about Coca-Cola becoming the poster child for how a corporation could shove leftist ideologies onto its consumers. The company suspended advertising on Facebook in a push to censor former President Donald Trump, published a manifesto about racial equity, and demanded all legal teams working for Coke meet certain diversity quotas.

But, after Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), and many other conservative voices called for a boycott of the company's products, Coca-Cola appeared to shift directions.

Calvin Klein's gender blender ruins sex and Mothers' Day

Chad Prather reflected back to the Great Depression era of enticing photographic entertainment, otherwise known as the callow and deprived years of his youth, when a Calvin Klein pictorial of old would have represented something exciting, something to, say, think about at the end of the day. Had he run across this present weird concept at that age, he would have either been disgusted on sight … or possibly really disgusted when his dumb a** put two and two together the next day. Anyway, his point is: Has the whole world gone crazy? Do we really need this? At this inclusive embracing point in our recent history, what in the world makes Calvin Klein feel the need to be the standard-bearer for a lifestyle screamed largely into existence by a very vocal minority?

Former Disney artist SPEAKS OUT: ‘It’s time to do something’

A former Disney artist, who wishes to remain anonymous, joins Glenn to describe WHY he recently took action against his former employer: ‘I'm tired of watching my country go down the drain. And it's time to do something.’ Today’s woke Disney is not what Walt once imagined, he says, and his recent video release — "It’s A Woke World After All" — exposes Disney’s large stray from its roots ...
