Glenn Beck: The Chicago way is now the American way

Update: Direct from Glenn's Twitter;

Tomorrow at 5p ET: Congressman Massa for the full hour. I just spoke with him off air. All Americans need To hear him. Exclusive tomorrow on Fox News.

GLENN: Okay. I want to play some audio here. We have Congressman Massa from New York. He had some interesting things to say. He's a guy who was voting he voted against cap and trade and he's a Democrat, and he voted, was going to go vote against healthcare. He's resigned, but now he's coming out and saying, wait, wait, wait, wait, wait. This is a giant game. And I want you to, I want you to hear in Pat's audio vault what he said this weekend.

MASSA: Congressman Neil Abercrombie who is running for the governorship of Hawaii and with the tragic and very sad passing of my personal good friend Jack Murtha, mine is now the deciding vote on the healthcare bill, and this administration and this House leadership have said quote/unquote, they will stop at nothing to pass this healthcare bill. And now they've gotten rid of me and it will pass. Here I read, House majority leader Steny Hoyer said Wednesday that he was told the week of February 8th by a staff member in Massa's office about allegations of misconduct. Hoyer directed Massa to report the allegations to the House ethics committee within 48 hours. Steny Hoyer has never said a single word to me at all, ever, not once. Not a word. This is a lie. It's a blatant false statement. But when I voted against the cap and trade bill, the phone rang and it was the chief of staff to the president of the United States of America, Rahm Emanuel. And he started swearing at me in terms and words that I hadn't heard since that crossing the lines ceremony on the USS New Jersey in 1983. And I gave it right back to him. And in terms and words that I know are physically impossible. I told him to do things that I know the human anatomy cannot do. There's no doubt in my mind. It got quiet. And I said, Rahm, let's have a conversation and you pretend that you are the acting, you are the chief of staff to the president of the United States and I'm a sitting member of congress. And he said, there's no reason for you to swear at me. I said, you are the one that lit on me first and I'm going to give as good as I get. So if Rahm Emanuel wants to come after me, maybe he ought to hold himself to the same standards I'm holding myself to and resign. I've had union leaders tell me point blank we are not going to contribute to your campaign unless you vote for this healthcare bill. Is that or is that not a bribe?

GLENN: It is.

VOICE: At the heart of everything we face in this country today, at the heart of the destruction of our democracy, at the heart of our inability to solve our problems, at the heart of the inability for us to actually pass to the next generation of Americans something greater than we received from our parents is the incredible corruption of money in politics today.

GLENN: Stop for a second. Who the hell is this guy?

PAT: This is incredible.

GLENN: Who is this guy?

PAT: This is exactly

GLENN: He's a friend of John Murtha's?

PAT: Hard to believe.

GLENN: Really hard to believe.

PAT: This is exactly what we've been asking for, where is this person. And it turns out to be a Democrat. That's fine. That's great. We're just looking for someone with integrity. Jeez, amazing.

GLENN: I mean, we've got to find out about this guy. I mean, maybe just because healthcare is not going far enough.

STU: Well, it could be. I don't know. I think well, if he voted against cap and trade, though, my guess is it's probably more

GLENN: Sounds like he's more Blue Dog Democrat?

STU: I don't know much about him.

PAT: I don't, either.

STU: The whole thing was supposedly these allegations now about ethics. I'm sure they are going to say that's the cause of this outburst.

GLENN: Excuse me. We're seeing it with Paterson. If they want you out, they will destroy you. I mean, why do you think that there are two biographies coming out about me this summer?

STU: Because you are that awesome.

PAT: You are so interesting.

GLENN: Yeah, I know.

STU: Because your life is that fascinating.

GLENN: Because they, that's the only that's the only thing they have is literally the politics of destruction. Destroy them. Destroy them. This guy, Paterson's being destroyed. I mean, Paterson, he's a joke. He's a joke. But please. The system is not working when he says, "I'm going to run." "No, you're not." "Yes, I am." "No, you're not." "Then we'll destroy you." And they are! They've done everything to destroy the man. These guys are thugs. I just cannot believe what this country is putting up with, what we're sitting around for! We are sitting around and we are watching the systematic destruction of everything we hold dear by thugs!

You know, if members of congress would come forward and they would say, help! The American people will stand by you! No matter what the New York Times and Bill Maher and everybody else print, everything else that the left says, we are not antigovernment. We are anticorrupt government. We are antibig government. We're not antigovernment. We're looking for good guys! Come out! We will help you! Continue to play this guy.

VOICE: It makes me weep when I realize our nation is being destroyed from within. But I will not go quietly into the evening. I will not be ashamed of my actions other than the fact that I used inappropriate verbal, V E R B A L language. And I was set up for this from the very, very beginning. If you think that somehow they didn't come after me to get rid of me because my vote is a deciding vote in the healthcare bill, then ladies and gentlemen, you live today in a world that is so innocent as not to understand what's going on in Washington, D.C. The leadership of the Democratic Party have become exactly what they said they were running against. They have become exactly what we all ran against. You cannot effectively govern this country without the consent of the governed. The entire nation has said let's rewrite the healthcare bill, let's find what we can agree upon. No, no, no, no. We're going to ram this down the throats of the American people and anyone who stands in the way of doing that is going to be smeared, and they are going to be kicked out of congress. And we're going to have people like Steny Hoyer lying in the press.

So here's the reality. At this point nobody knows. Nobody understands you can't sift yourself through all the various details because of things like the Nebraska compromise, because of things like $100 million to build a hospital in Connecticut, because of one little line item stuck in. The American people have lost faith in this piece of legislation and if we pass this bill using reconciliation, it will tear this country to pieces.

GLENN: Who is this guy? Stop! Stop. I want to change the show. This needs to be our lead tonight at 5:00 and get this guy on. I don't have, I don't have guests on. We just don't and we certainly don't lead with a guest. This guy is the guy we've been looking for!

PAT: Mmm hmmm.

GLENN: Here's a Democrat!

STU: He sounds like it. Again these guys

PAT: He does.

GLENN: With what I know right now, with what I know, which is very little, only I have to take him at his word on what he's saying here. But Stu, does this not sound all exactly with what we've been saying was happening? All of it.

STU: I mean, he's, you know, alerting everyone that the corruption that we've been talking about is definitely going on.

GLENN: Everything. Everything. He's talking about the union corruption, he's talking about the hostile takeover of congress, he's talking about the thuggery, he's talking about the spending into oblivion. He's talking about all of it. And they know. They know in Washington. This is a good sign.

PAT: When we say where are the Republicans, this is what I'm this is what we mean!

GLENN: Yeah.

PAT: Where are they doing this? This should be my pants and Eric Cantor and Ted Poe and John Culberson and all the rest, Dana Rohrabacher.

GLENN: How many times have I said get up and walk out!

PAT: Yep.

GLENN: Get up and walk out! And hold a press conference and say it is a, it is a den of vipers in there! And the whole place has to be fumigated. And I'm not going to do my work in that building anymore; I'm going back to my constituents. I will phone my votes in. I'll fly in if I have to be there. But it doesn't matter if I'm there anymore. I'm going back home to be with real people because this is corrupt! Where are those people? This may be one of them. This may be one of them.

Tiffany, can you come into Stu's studio for a second? Tiffany is our executive producer of the TV show. Do you know anything about this guy? Massa well, she was in the hallway. Do you even know what I'm talking about? Do you know anything about Massa at all? Congressman? Okay, so you don't know if this I've never even heard of this guy.

PAT: Is he a Blue Dog Democrat? Do you know?

TIFFANY: I do not know.

STU: It looks like that's the case.

GLENN: Where is he from?

PAT: New York.

GLENN: It's a big state.

PAT: Oh. Somewhere in

GLENN: New York?

PAT: New York.

GLENN: Got to be upstate New York some place. Find out where he's from.

STU: Corning, New York?

GLENN: Corning?

STU: 29th congressional district.

GLENN: Is there any of our affiliates, if the you are in his district, would you please call and let us know about this guy. I don't follow the individuals in politics. That's for other people to do. Let's see if we can get this guy. I know he's going to every show's going to try to get him, that's fine. If that's we'll promote whatever show gets him, but this is the guy. This is the guy. And tell them I'm not going to spend I won't spend three minutes on this. If he'll talk, I'll let this guy talk. This is good news!

STU: This is good, from just kind of scanning quick bios of him, apparently military guy, former Republican, left the party. Was not a supporter of the Iraq war apparently or at least part of it and is now a Democrat. Won a very close election this past election, 51% of the vote basically.

GLENN: Love it. Love it. Love it, love it, love it. Oh, this is good news. We'll go into more on what he had to say here in just a second.

Acclaimed environmentalist and author of "Apocalypse Never" Michael Shellenberger joined Glenn Beck on the radio program Wednesday to warn us about the true goals and effects of climate alarmism: It's become a "secular religion" that lowers standards of living in developed countries, holds developing countries back, and has environmental progress "exactly wrong."

Michael is a Time "Hero of the Environment," Green Book Award winner, and the founder and president of Environmental Progress. He has been called a "environmental guru," "climate guru," "North America's leading public intellectual on clean energy," and "high priest" of the environmental humanist movement for his writings and TED talks, which have been viewed more than 5 million times. But when Michael penned a stunning article in Forbes saying, "On Behalf of Environmentalists, I Apologize for the Climate Scare", the article was pulled just a few hours later. (Read more here.)

On the show, Micheal talked about how environmental alarmism has overtaken scientific fact, leading to a number of unfortunate consequences. He said one of the problems is that rich nations are blocking poor nations from being able to industrialize. Instead, they are seeking to make poverty sustainable, rather than to make poverty history.

"As a cultural anthropologist, I've been traveling to poorer countries and interviewing small farmers for over 30 years. And, obviously there are a lot of causes why countries are poor, but there's no reason we should be helping them to stay poor," Michael said. "A few years ago, there was a movement to make poverty history ... [but] it got taken over by the climate alarmist movement, which has been focused on depriving poor countries, not just of fossil fuels they need to develop, but also the large hydroelectric dams."

He offered the example of the Congo, one of the poorest countries in the world. The Congo has been denied the resources needed to build large hydroelectric dams, which are absolutely essential to pull people out of poverty. And one of the main groups preventing poor countries from the gaining financing they need to to build dams is based in Berkeley, California — a city that gets its electricity from hydroelectric dams.

"It's just unconscionable ... there are major groups, including the Sierra Club, that support efforts to deprive poor countries of energy. And, honestly, they've taken over the World Bank [which] used to fund the basics of development: roads, electricity, sewage systems, flood control, dams," Micheal said.

"Environmentalism, apocalyptic environmentalism in particular, has become the dominant religion of supposedly secular people in the West. So, you know, it's people at the United Nations. It's people that are in very powerful positions who are trying to impose 'nature's order' on societies," he continued. "And, of course, the problem is that nobody can figure out what nature is, and what it's not. That's not a particular good basis for organizing your economy."

Dr. Voddie Baucham, Dean of Theology at African Christian University in Lusaka, Zambia, joined Glenn Beck on the radio program to explain why he agrees with Vice President Mike Pence's refusal to say the phrase "Black Lives Matter."

Baucham, who recently drew national attention when his sermon titled "Ethnic Gnosticism" resurfaced online, said the phrase has been trademarked by a dangerous, violent, Marxist movement that doesn't care about black lives except to use them as political pawns.

"We have to separate this movement from the issues," Baucham warned. "I know that [Black Lives Matter] is a phrase that is part of an organization. It is a trademark phrase. And it's a phrase designed to use black people.

"That phrase dehumanizes black people, because it makes them pawns in a game that has nothing whatsoever to do with black people and their dignity. And has everything to do with a divisive agenda that is bigger than black people. That's why I'm not going to use that phrase, because I love black people. I love being black."

Baucham warned that Black Lives Matter -- a radical Marxist movement -- is using black people and communities to push a dangerous and divisive narrative. He encouraged Americans to educate themselves on the organization's agenda and belief statement.

"This movement is dangerous. This movement is vicious. And this movement uses black people," he emphasized. "And so if I'm really concerned about issues in the black community -- and I am -- then I have to refuse, and I have to repudiate that organization. Because they stand against that for which I am advocating."

On last week's Wednesday night special, Glenn Beck revealed where the Black Lives Matter organization really gets its funding, and the dark money trail leading to a cast of familiar characters. Shortly after the program aired, one of BLM's fiscal sponsors, Thousand Currents, took down its board of directors page, which featured one of these shady characters:

Ex-Marxist professor and author of "Beyond Woke," Michael Rectenwald, joined Glenn Beck on the TV show to fill us in on the suspicious change he discovered on the Thousand Currents webpage and the Communist terrorists who is now helping run the organization. (Fortunately, the internet is forever, so it is still possible to view the board of directors page by looking at a web archive from the WayBack Machine.)

Rectenwald revealed the shocking life history of Thousand Currents' vice chair of the board, Susan Rosenberg, who spent 16 years in federal prison for her part in a series of increasingly violent acts of terrorism, including bombing the U.S. Capitol building, bombing an FBI building, and targeting police for assassination.

"Their whole campaign was one of unbelievably vicious, murderous cop killings, assassinations, and bombings," explained Rectenwald of Rosenberg's terror group known as the May 19th Communist Organization or M19.
