Glenn Beck's American Revival
Glenn Beck's American Revival is a daylong event where you can find information, inspiration, and the preparation to help turn this country around...
GLENN: Monday, 87 senators, 87 senators. How many senators do we have currently?
PAT: I'm thinking 100.
GLENN: Okay. No. I need a current count. How many do we have I mean, I know that's how we started.
PAT: Yeah, yeah. 100.
GLENN: 100. Are you sure? We started the Obama administration with 100. We still have 100? 87, 87
PAT: That's 87%.
GLENN: Really? Is that how that works?
PAT: Uh huh.
GLENN: So, that's just around 90%.
PAT: Just under. About 3% under.
GLENN: 3% under 90%.
PAT: Give or take 2 or 3%.
GLENN: 87 Senators signed a letter to President Obama affirming their support for Israel, while urging his support. This comes in response to last month's highly publicized flotilla incident in the Mediterranean Sea and the United Nations predictable anti Israel reaction. A similar letter has been circulated in the House and apparently has garnered 307 signatures. How many do we currently have? That's three times as many. Just over. It's 7, 7 signatures over three times as many as we have all senators. Now, how many house members do we have?
PAT: There are 435.
GLENN: Why 435 when there's only 100 senators? This whole system is coming apart at the seams. 307 signatures in the house, despite the overwhelming bipartisan outcry. Have you heard about this story?
PAT: Yeah. From you.
GLENN: Is this the first time America is hearing about the 87 senators and 307 congressional members that are saying, Support Israel? Why is that? I'm going to wait for an answer.
By the way, you just saw an NBC poll that shows right track, wrong track. Have you seen the latest polls on these?
PAT: 62% to 29% wrong track.
PAT: And that was an NBC Wall Street Journal poll. 62% said wrong track.
GLENN: So, that's still only 38 senators that said I'm still confused with the senators. You don't need senators to work out the percentages?
STU: That's not how that works. No. It's not.
PAT: It would probably be 29 29 senators.
GLENN: 62% say wrong track.
STU: I'm not a fan of that stat because I feel like it encompasses a lot of people saying a lot of things that is seemingly always bad but it does say that
PAT: But they used it during the Bush years all the time. They have no qualification. Hey, 10% of America says wrong track. Well
GLENN: Here's the confusing thing about that is, I mean, I could be standing next to Van Jones and Van Jones would say, you know he could say wrong track.
PAT: Not that he would, but he could.
GLENN: I don't think he would, either. But you know, the President's approval rating is falling from the sky. What is his approval rating now?
PAT: According to that same poll, 45% approved, 48% disapprove. And that's the NBC policy. That's not Rasmussen, Gallup. You know, some of these other polls have been showing him at 41, 42%. This is NBC, Wall Street Journal, 45% approve, 48% disapprove.
GLENN: This is when this guy becomes very, very dangerous. This is when they are going to use Cass Sunstein and regulation and push as hard as they can, when they have nothing else to lose. They will just push as hard as they can. That's why Israel is in trouble right now. That's why the Gulf Coast is in trouble.
