Learn more about the Restoring Honor Rally, 8/28 in Washington DC...
GLENN: I want to tell you about 8 27. 8 28 you know about, restoring honor, but how do we restore honor? Tania and I wanted to Tania and I wanted to get a group of people together and search for some answers. We've been working on this for a very, very long time. This is something that 8 28, we prayed about and prayed about and prayed about and prayed about and I told you some things were going to happen on 8 28 that hadn't been done in over 235, 38 years. I told you that this is the period of awakening, not the period of enlightenment. Enlightenment is where our founders were. This is the period of awakening. This is the period that George Whitfield lived through and brought about. If you don't know who George Whitfield is, you need to read about him. He was a flawed individual. He had some things that I vehemently disagree with, but he saw America's future in the individual and he preached about a personal relationship with God and the freedom to choose and the freedom to relate to God one on one. He started an awakening and in this awakening things happened. Preachers woke up. For anybody who says that we're not a Christian nation, we're not a religious nation and anybody who wants to say when you're a Christian nation, that means that it's hate speech, it's not. The founders didn't agree on religion. The founders defended other religions. They defended the Jews who were here at the time. It doesn't mean at the expense of others. And we all have principles that are the same. God is universal. You can go to an episcopal church or Catholic church. You can go to a Baptist church. God doesn't change. The understanding or the trappings around God changes, but God, his principles are the same. And in this period of awakening, they knew that. So, I have rented the Kennedy Center for the night. On Friday, August 27th at 8:00 p.m., at the Kennedy Center for Performing Arts, I'm going to be I'm going to be speaking with several people about divine destiny.
I want to play something that is known as the Navy him. I think maybe the first time I heard this was Ronald Reagan's funeral. It has been one of my favorite American songs ever since. I had to look up the words and I'm going to wreck kind of the song for you because I want to speak the words, so you understand what they're saying, but this is the message of 8 27 and 8 28. I'll give you more on the announcement here, but I want you to hear this, because this truly is the message that all Americans need to hear. This was arranged specifically for, I believe, Ronald Reagan's funeral from the Mormon Tabernacle Choir.
Eternal father, strong to save, whose arm hath bound the restless wave, who biddest the mighty ocean deep. Its own appointed limits keep. Oh, hear us when we cry to thee, for those in peril on the sea. Eternal father, lend thy grace to those with wings who fly through space. Through wind and storm, through sun and rain, oh, bring them safely home again. Oh, father, hear our humble prayer for those in peril in the air. Oh, trinity of love and power, our brethren shield in danger's hour, from rock and tempest higher and foe, protect them wherever they go. Thus, ever more shall rise to these, glad hymns of praise from land and sea.
Glad hymns of praise from land and sea. It is what we have forgotten. The trinity of love and power, our brethren's shield in danger's hour. Whether we care to believe it or not, our country is in its danger's hour and there is only one answer.
You may have noticed a difference in some of your messages that you're getting from the pulpit. We have received calls on them. I can tell you that I understand why some of them are happening. Others are waking up on their own, but I have been reaching out to the biggest names in faith for the last year. It has been extraordinarily difficult because of my faith and because of who I am. I have met with the biggest leaders of faith in the country privately and I have asked them to help me put differences aside and to reach out with one another so we can remind people to get down on their knees for our brothers' shield in our danger's hour.
You will fully understand on 8 28 what is about to happen to this country and who is coming, who is willing to stand. I have been telling you for awhile this will be a historic moment. I promise you that it will be. I promise you. I have promised you before and I have personally seen them already. I have told you, prepare to witness mighty and powerful miracles. I have already seen them. What you will witness on September 28th, the beginning of a restoration you and your children will never forget. I would invite you to join me for an incredible, powerful prelude, if you will, on August 27th at 8:00 p.m. there are very, very few tickets that will be available to the general public. I am not going to reveal why at this point, because I've already given the media and those who stand on the other side enough. Very few tickets will be available to the general public. I am making all of these free because I do not want to be accused of making any money on anything. I personally wrote the check for the Kennedy Center. A limited number of free tickets will be made available on the day of the performance to the general public. It will be they will be available at the Hall Of Nations at the Kennedy Center. All of the information is at glennbeck.com. Tickets will be distributed, what few that will be available, first come, first serve basis. There will be a limit on that. The show is going to be an evening with an all star choir that you also don't want to miss, an all star choir, nationally known religious figures from all faiths will join me on stage. I am going to share with you four sermons that changed the course of the planet. They happened prior to 1770. They are the American ideals. They came first from the pulpit and they play a key role in changing the course of America today. The event will focus on shared values, principles, and strong belief that faith must play an essential role in reuniting the country and it is the key principle in man's freedom. For more information on the 8 27 at the Kennedy Center, an evening with me that you will never, ever forget, go to glennbeck.com. I'll see you there and then at the feet of Abraham Lincoln on 8 28.
