GLENN: Let me talk a little bit about -- I want to talk a little bit about Barack Obama. Let me play the clip here from Good Morning America where he was going on and on about Bill Clinton and how unfair Bill Clinton is. Listen to this quote.
OBAMA: The former President who I think all of us have a lot of regard for has taken his advocacy on behalf of his wife to a level that I think is pretty troubling. He continues --
GLENN: Stop, stop. Okay, first of all, why is it troubling? If you take -- if he is outspoken for his wife, he has that bully pulpit, he's good at it, he's just out helping his wife just like everybody else, John Edwards has his wife out there, he just happens to be more effective because he's the former President of the United States. Why would it be disturbing to be an advocate for your wife or for your husband if you are campaigning or she's campaigning for the President of the United States? Everybody does it. Well, it's not on the surface. Listen to the -- listen to where he says he's taking it too far. Listen to this.
OBAMA: You know, he continues to make statements that aren't supported by the facts, whether it's about my record about position to the war in Iraq or our approach to organizing in Las Vegas. You know, this has become a habit and one of the things that I think we're going to have to do is to directly confront Bill Clinton when he's not making statements that are factually accurate.
GLENN: I love that. I love that. Who knows now what it feels like to be a Republican. You do! I mean, I love that. Wait a minute, hang on just a second. Bill Clinton is less than accurate? He's not using accurate statements to describe you, Bill Clinton? No! I find that hard to believe.
Now, you couple the Clintons doing whatever they have to do or doing whatever they have to say to destroy you and no one holding their feet to the fire, you couple that with the media attacking you and welcome to the world of a conservative. Now you know exactly what it's like, where we scratch and you go, well, how is this happening? So Barack, congratulations. You now know what it feels like to be a conservative. Well, you're halfway there. You're halfway there.
