Glenn Beck: Nancy Pelosi is funny

GLENN: I haven't played the audio yet of Nancy Pelosi. Let's play a little bit of this. This is astounding, astounding audio, and I am going to address this unlike I think I've addressed anything ever before tonight on television at 5:00. In fact, I'm throwing the gauntlet down. I'm making a personal challenge. I've never done this before.

PAT: I think this might make some news actually.

GLENN: I think it will. I think it will. Tonight at 5:00, Nancy Pelosi, I've had enough. And tonight a challenge. Let's see if he's man enough to stand up and meet the challenge. But here's the audio.

PELOSI: All this money is pouring in from special interest, unidentified, unlimited money from any source, including foreign sources. And why is that? What is it that they want to stop or reverse?

GLENN: Corruption.

PELOSI: The one thing that really makes them angry

GLENN: Socialism.

PELOSI: is the fact that we passed the Wall Street reform bill.

GLENN: No.

PELOSI: What we've said in that bill is never again will the recklessness of some on Wall Street cause joblessness for many on Main Street.

PAT: That's not what they said in the bill.

GLENN: No.

PAT: That is not what they said in the bill.

PELOSI: There's a reason we're in this situation.

GLENN: Yes.

PELOSI: The Republicans took us to the brink of disaster with a financial, through the depths of recession, nearly a depression

PAT: In power since 2006.

PELOSI: And we had to pull back from that and pull back from that. In the meantime they had stood in the way of the change

GLENN: They can't.

PELOSI: in many cases.

GLENN: They can't.

Coming Tuesday, Oct 26th

PELOSI: that we have tried to make

GLENN: They can't stand in the way.

PELOSI: in terms of increasing the number of jobs in our country.

GLENN: No.

PAT: That's how they got the bill done, that's how the got the financial bill done, that's how they got the healthcare bill done. They just steamrolled over the Republicans.

GLENN: And the Democrats.

PAT: And the Democrats.

GLENN: There were only about well, in congress, in the Senate there were 60, 60, right?

PAT: Yeah.

GLENN: 60. It didn't matter what the American people said. It doesn't matter what the American people say now. It doesn't matter. They said, well, we'll run on our record. They won't run on their record because they are still saying it's too complex. Nancy Pelosi said she won't have a debate with anybody because time is money and she's too busy. Barack Obama says people are just irrational, they are just too angry, they are just too confused, they are too afraid. So they can't even think straight. And Howard Dean says? There's not enough time to educate people. We just have to keep moving forward. I've never seen anything like it. Never seen anything like it.

PAT: And for her to continue, all of them are doing this. To continue to say how much money Republicans are dumping into these races. Democrats have spent $134 million on the House races to $81 million for Republicans. Why isn't anyone standing up and saying, what are you talking about?

STU: Yeah.

GLENN: Because you don't have honest brokers in the media, but tonight at 5:00. Tonight at 5:00. You don't want to miss the first 21 minutes of the Glenn Beck program. You don't want to miss it. Especially, especially if you are someone who's involved in campaign finance, if you have if you are part of any of these totally legitimate operations for the Democrats, don't no, don't miss it. Seriously. If you're a spooky dude, you don't want to miss tonight. You should DVR it. Have one of your minions DVR it. Yes. Because it's going to require a response. Gauntlet. 5:00. Sick of it, done with it, and we'll move on.

Sen. Ted Cruz: NOBODY should be afraid of Trump's Supreme Court justice pick

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) joined Glenn Beck on the radio program Wednesday to weigh in on President Donald Trump's potential Supreme Court nominees and talk about his timely new book, "One Vote Away: How a Single Supreme Court Seat Can Change History."

Sen. Cruz argued that, while Congressional Democrats are outraged over President Trump's chance at a third court appointment, no one on either side should be afraid of a Supreme Court justice being appointed if it's done according to the founding documents. That's why it's crucial that the GOP fills the vacant seat with a true constitutionalist.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) joined Glenn Beck on the radio program Wednesday to talk about why he believes President Donald Trump will nominate Judge Amy Coney Barrett to fill the Supreme Court vacancy created by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death.

Lee, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee that will consider and vote on the nominee, also weighed in on another Supreme Court contender: Judge Barbara Lagoa. Lee said he would not be comfortable confirming Lagoa without learning more about her history as it pertains to upholding the U.S. Constitution.

This week on the Glenn Beck Podcast, Glenn spoke with Vox co-founder Matthew Yglesias about his new book, "One Billion Americans: The Case for Thinking Bigger."

Matthew and Glenn agree that, while conservatives and liberals may disagree on a lot, we're not as far apart as some make it seem. If we truly want America to continue doing great things, we must spend less time fighting amongst ourselves.

'A convenient boogeyman for misinformation artists': Why is the New York Times defending George Soros?

On the "Glenn Beck Radio Program" Tuesday, Glenn discussed the details of a recent New York Times article that claims left-wing billionaire financier George Soros "has become a convenient boogeyman for misinformation artists who have falsely claimed that he funds spontaneous Black Lives Matter protests as well as antifa, the decentralized and largely online, far-left activist network that opposes President Trump."

The Times article followed last week's bizarre Fox News segment in which former House Speaker Newt Gingrich appeared to be censored for criticizing Soros (read more here). The article also labeled Glenn a "conspiracy theorist" for his tweet supporting Gingrich.
