GLENN: Let me play Lawrence O'Donnell, this is said on
MSNBC on Friday, not a
peep from the mainstream media on this. Nothing on this.
VOICE: "I, Glenn, unlike you, I am not a progressive. I am not a liberal who is
so afraid of the word that I had to change my name to progressive."
VOICE: "I'm not either. Liberals amuse me."
VOICE: "I'm a socialist. I live to the extreme left. The extreme left of you
mere liberals. Okay? However, I know this about my country: Liberals are 20
percent of the electorate. Conservatives are 41 percent of the electorate. Okay.
So I don't pretend that my views, which would ban all guns in America, make
Medicare available to all in America, have any chance of happening in the
federal government. Okay. You can sit there and pretend that liberals should run
more liberal in conservative districts. The reason -- you love the loss of the
Blue Dogs -- you have because it disproves your point."
VOICE: "Chris, you can't go to break."
VOICE: "The only way you have a chairman Barney Frank, there's only one way
that's by electing Blue Dogs. It's the only way you have..."
GLENN: Do you understand what he just said? What he said is, A, I'm a socialist.
Do you have that?
PAT: Let that sink in for a second. There's a guy on national television,
supposedly a journalist, I don't know what he is really, what is he? A
commentator.
STU: Commentator and former actor.
PAT: He's a socialist. That's right, he was.
STU: Former actor.
PAT: That brings a little more clarity to it.
GLENN: What a surprise. It does. Okay. So there's Lawrence O'Donnell on NBC and
he's a socialist. There's the first thing that he said. But the second is, you
know, you progressives, you're so ashamed of being called a liberal that you
changed to progressive, you have to change the word to progressive. I'm not
ashamed of who I am. I'm a socialist. But you progressives think that what they
should have done is run farther to the left. The socialist says no, no, no. The
best thing you can do is hide behind the Blue Dog democrats, elect them, because
then you'll get Barney Frank as your chairman. You see?
PAT: Uh-huh.
GLENN: So what he's saying is live in the shadows. At the same time he's saying
I'm not ashamed of who I am. He's saying live in the shadows.
PAT: But he's also admitting this is a rare moment of all honesty and clarity.
He's also admitting this is a center right nation and there's no way liberals
can ever have a Barney Frank as a chairman without hiding behind the shadows.
GLENN: Right. You'll never get -- because nobody agrees. He says what I know
about my country is no one agrees with me. So hide. That's incredible.
PAT: It is.
GLENN: Now, nobody is doing anything on this. Nobody's showing that. It's no big
deal, apparently. Well, I wonder when I start to expose George Soros starting
tomorrow night -- and tonight, really -- I don't know if you saw Friday's show.
But Friday's show we showed you how in 15 days how this damn thing -- how it
will just shimmy apart. And I'm going to get into that again later on on this
broadcast today. I know Pat is very excited to talk.
PAT: Yes, I am.
GLENN: Economic theory.
PAT: I have a thrill going up my leg. That doesn't happen to me very often.
GLENN: Thrill or a chill?
PAT: Thrill. It's an absolute thrill. Chris Matthews type thrill.
GLENN: I'm going to show you and the reason you have to understand that, you
have to understand what's happening on that, is because it's all related. It's
all related. It's related to what the president is saying over in India. It is
related to George Soros. It's related to the birth pangs. It's all related. And
once you see it, you will never see the world the same way. It really is the
blue pill and the red pill. Beginning today, this week, is blue pill and red
pill, would you agree with that?
PAT: Where one pill makes us taller and one pill makes you small.
GLENN: Stu, would you agree with that, that this is the week -- do you know
enough about what we're presenting this week on Soros and everything? Have you
read enough of this research? I think this is blue pill/red pill, this is the
"Matrix." Go back to sleep if you want to or see the "Matrix."
STU: I think you made a good argument. Pat, as you said, there's just been stuff
I've seen in outlines I've never come close to hearing.
PAT: It's unbelievable. We do this every day, how do we not know about it.
GLENN: I will tell you the answer on how we don't know about it in just a
second. I thought about it this weekend, like you and Stu just said, I can't
believe it. I can't believe it. I was the same way. And I know the answer. And
going in you should know the answer.
