Occupy Wall St. honors Communist terrorist group with new protest

Here is the poster of Occupy Wall Street's newest mass protest:

Hmmmmmm....November 17th???  Why November 17th???  Of all days, why would a leftist organization pick November 17th to stage a mass protest??

The CFR reminds us of the significance of that date:

What is November 17?

A radical, leftist Greek terrorist group, also known as 17 N or N 17, with a tiny membership and a loathing for America, the West, and capitalism...

What sort of attacks has November 17 launched?

The organization’s first known attack came in December 1975, when the CIA’s Athens station chief was shot with a .45-caliber pistol, November 17’s favorite weapon. Since then, the group has claimed responsibility for twenty-one murders, including the killings of a U.S. Navy captain, a U.S. defense attaché, a Turkish diplomat, and a British defense attaché. November 17’s initial attacks were directed at senior U.S. officials and Greek public figures, but during the 1980s the group expanded its operations to include bombings of ordinary citizens and property.

Where did November 17 get its name?

From the November 17, 1973, student uprising at Athens Polytechnic University. Twenty students were killed when Greek army tanks suppressed the protests, and the group formed in part to retaliate against the ruling military junta.

--So, we have a far left protest group, with tons of communist, socialist, and anarchist ties.

--We have a group that's focused on the banking meltdown and it's resulting potential cuts in public services, a situation playing out most prominently in Greece.

--We have one of the most prominent academic supporters specifically calling for Greek style riots.

--We have a poster made for the protests, aside from the obvious Communist imagery, that utilizes tanks.   Why tanks?  Again--"Twenty students were killed when Greek army tanks suppressed the protests..."

We're supposed to believe that this organization HAD NO IDEA that they were scheduling their highest profile event so far, on the exact date that inspired a Communist terrorist group that hated American capitalism?

They MUST have known.  THEY MUST HAVE KNOWN.

So what does that mean for us?

One 17N protester has his answer: “we’re going to burn this shi* to the motherfu**ing ground on the 17th!”

(As a guy who lived through the media's constant attacks on Glenn Beck because he did a speech on the same day that Martin Luther King did a speech, I just couldn't resist.)

UPDATE:  I admit to starting this post with half tongue-in-cheek as mockery for our treatment by the media for 8.28.  But, honestly—I’m convincing myself a little.  The official Occupy Wall Street site is literally calling the march the “N17 Mass Direct Action.”

Again from the Council on Foreign Relations: “November 17, Revolutionary People’s Struggle, Revolutionary Struggle (Greece, leftists)” is “A radical, leftist Greek terrorist group, also known as 17 N or N 17” who aims to launch “an anti-capitalist popular uprising against the Greek middle and upper-classes.”   When is the last time you heard someone say “we have our Christmas party on D22.”  “I was born on F9.” Who says “N17” for November 17th?  Is that common here in America?

I know their public excuse for the “direct action” is two months of “occupation.”  I understand that is what they are saying publicly.  But, this is just the leadership of this group honoring a bunch of their heroes with a subtle tip of the cap.  The true believers get a chuckle while the useful idiots march in solidarity with something that they don’t understand.

Top officials at the Federal Reserve are doing what they can to sugar coat what's ahead for our economy, telling Americans we may hit a "transitory" period of inflation that will settle by 2022. But Bank of America is saying something different. The bank's latest earnings call commentary warned "at the very least" transitory hyperinflation is ahead.

Straight from the Marxist con of critical race theory are three big lies about "systemic racism" in America that are debilitating to our nation: the lie that policing in the U.S. is thoroughly racist, the lie of voter suppression, and the lie of equity as the solution to solve "racism." Despite the evidence disproving these lies, they grow stronger, thanks to Democrats and activists with selfish interest in these narratives, who, along with their media partners, spread the sinister message that everything in America is racist by default and only massive government intervention can save us from ourselves. President Biden, Vice President Harris, Chuck Schumer, Nancy Pelosi – every Democrat on the national stage sees racism in literally everything at this point.

In this precarious time for America, Glenn Beck and North Carolina Lt. Gov. Mark Robinson join together with data and the truth to fight back against the race-baiters ripping us apart.

America has always been the land of the free. But as the line fades between the socialist, woke Left, and the Democratic Party that controls our government, are we diving headfirst into Marxism?

On his BlazeTV exclusive show, Glenn Beck spoke with Li Schoolland, who grew up under Mao's cultural revolution in China, and never did she think she would see the same warning signs in America. But now, she has a horrifying warning for us all.

Earlier this year, Coca-Cola became the poster child for how a corporation could shove leftist ideologies onto its consumers. The company suspended advertising on Facebook in a push to censor former President Donald Trump, published a manifesto about racial equity, and demanded all legal teams working for Coke meet certain diversity quotas.

But now, after Trump, Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Tx.), Sen. Rand Paul (R-Ky.), and many other conservative voices called for a boycott of the company's products, Coca-Cola appears to be shifting directions.

The Washington Examiner reported that the company issued a conciliatory statement after conspicuously failing to appear on a published list of hundreds of corporations and individuals that signed a statement denouncing the Georgia voting bill.

"We believe the best way to make progress now is for everyone to come together and listen respectfully, share concerns, and collaborate on a path forward. We remained open and productive conversations with advocacy groups and lawmakers who may have differing views," the company said. "It's time to find common ground. In the end, we all want the same thing – free and fair elections, the cornerstone of our democracy."

Then last week, Coca-Cola Co.'s new general counsel, Monica Howard Douglas, told members of the company's global legal team that the diversity initiative announced by her predecessor, Bradley Gayton, is "taking a pause for now." Gayton resigned unexpectedly from the position on April 21, after only eight months on the job, to serve as a strategic consultant to Chairman and CEO James Quincey.

"Why is Coca-Cola 'taking a pause' on all of these? Because you have been standing up," Glenn Beck said on the radio program Monday. "You and others have been standing up. Your voice, it's the power of one. Your voice makes a difference."
