Can you believe it, we're halfway to 2020? Donald Trump has been President for a year and a half and we've still yet to see the concentration camps, apocalypses, and civil wars that leftists warned would take place. But that hasn't slowed leftists down—in fact, they're louder than ever. And they want you to know that they have a right to be heard!
Take U.S. Sen. Cory Booker, who used his time onstage at the Netroots Nation Conference in New Orleans to confess to having cried "tears of rage" over President Trump's rhetoric.
He added:
I'm a big believer that if America, if this country hasn't broken your heart, then you don't love her enough. Because there's things that are savagely wrong in this country.
He gave an example from his own state, New Jersey:
Newark has gifted me a wisdom that can only come from wounds, a sense of purpose that can only come from shared pain. It's a city that at times where my heart has been broken but I've learned that the heart is this interesting organ that, it's the only one that really works even if it's gotten broken.
Booker has emerged as a viable Democratic candidate for 2020. He had this to say about the Democratic party: "I think a lot about the Democratic Party nationally and how it seems that that connection to people — where they are, what their experiences are, their struggles, their hurts and their pain — how we seem to have lost our way."
Following the conference, Booker also took heat for taking a photo with a couple of anti-Israel activists while holding a sign that read:
From Palestine to Mexico, all the walls have got to go.
In the photo, he's standing next to a woman wearing a shirt that says:
PALESTINE IS A FEMINIST QUEER REFUGEE RACIAL JUSTICE ISSUE.
Now that is some rhetoric that should be making Booker cry tears of rage.
