Real life movie: Heist ends in jet ski escape

If you listen close enough you can hear it: Writers of the Mission: Impossible – Fallout movie are grunting in disbelief, muttering, "Why didn't I think of that, that's brilliant?" The perfect heist, theatrical and historic all at once. For one, it happened right there in broad daylight, at the 14th century Strangnas Cathedral on a sunny day, in small town in Sweden.

Two men snuck into the cathedral somehow. According to the Associated Press, the two men stole a gold crown and an orb dating to 1611 that were made for King Karl IX's funeral, as well as a jewel-encrusted crown dating to 1625 that was used in Queen Kristina's funeral. The items were on display at an exhibition, and visitors were inside the cathedral when they were taken.

When the two men smashed the security glass protecting the artifacts, the air rung out with piercing sirens. The men, undaunted, luffed off with their unusual treasures. When outside, they hopped onto a couple of bicycles, weighed down by loot that the men packed into custom-made baskets and infant-carriers. Or maybe they just ran. Accounts vary. But either way, they made it to the nearby dock…and hopped onto some jet-skis. Yes. They literally escaped the heist of a 14th Century cathedral on jet skis.

Of course it's despicable. The reality is awful.

Maybe movies have corrupted us—oh, but it's a lovely corruption. I mean, if you saw it all in a movie. Ugh. It's so good. I mean, as far as films go, it would almost be cliché. But, for reality? Wow. That's like something right out of an unbelievable movie. I mean. The jet skis alone, right?

Disney actress Gina Carano was just the latest to be canceled for being vocally conservative — this time for making a Holocaust comparison. But on this week's episode of "The Glenn Beck Podcast," renowned Jewish historian Edwin Black explains how Gina's comparison wasn't exactly out of line: The second phase of the Holocaust, exclusion, "is like cancel culture."

Edwin Black is the son of Holocaust survivors and an investigative journalist with awards and best-selling books translated into 20 languages in nearly 200 countries. His book "IBM and the Holocaust" examines high tech's role in killing Jews during the Holocaust and what it can teach us about the dangers of Big Tech today.

Edwin has spent enough time in the media to see all of its warts (there are a lot). And he's speaking out about it and its role in ignoring history at our nation's peril. He told Glenn he believes our culture and our history are being erased. Our ideals are being censored and our values are being mocked.

Bank of America sent out a news release announcing its plans to achieve net zero greenhouse gas emissions through its financing — meaning it's now putting policies into place that'll make it hard for people to do business if they don't support the goals of the Paris Climate Agreement.

"It is critical that we leverage all parts of our business – beyond our direct operations – in order to accelerate the transition to a net zero global economy," said Bank of America Vice Chairman, Anne Finucane.

On the radio program, Glenn Beck explains how its new policies are an end-run around the U.S. Constitution and another example of the coming "Great Reset." He also exposes Bank of America CEO Brian Moynihan's close connections to the World Economic Forum and the push for stakeholder capitalism.

And this is just the beginning.

The New York Times recently published an article, "How Right-Wing Radio Stoked Anger Before the Capitol Siege," that calls out Glenn Beck, Rush Limbaugh, Sean Hannity and other conservative media bigwigs, and accuses them of contributing to the January 6th Capitol riot. But, unsurprisingly, the quote they used from the radio show on January 4th to supposedly illustrate Glenn's 'aggressive rhetoric' contained a whole lot of ellipses.

On the radio program Thursday, Glenn filled in the blanks, putting his words into context and revealing the truth that the New York Times refuses to report.
