PART THREE: Was President Trump withholding funds from Ukraine just to gather dirt on Joe Biden, as the recent whistleblower complaint says? Or does it go much, much deeper than that? Glenn argues Trump was really looking for evidence of collusion between Democrats, Ukraine, and Russia to begin the 2016 Russia investigation against him. And it turns out, the deep state may have been involved. There were Democrats in bed with Ukraine during the Obama administration from ALL levels – including those working for Hillary Clinton at the time. Trump only trusts his personal attorney Rudy Giuliani to get to the bottom of this.
According to the Los Angeles Times, the Biden administration is considering a policy that would force illegal immigrants who cross into Texas to remain there while waiting for their asylum screening. But is this even legal? Texas Governor Greg Abbott joins Glenn to respond to the claim: “This is a losing, legal proposition for Biden and we’ll just hand him another loss.” Plus, he addresses the federal government's attempts to remove his buoy barrier in the Rio Grande and rips New York City Mayor Eric Adams for complaining about his illegal immigrant busing program.
Speaker of the House Kevin McCarthy has officially directed House committees to open a formal impeachment inquiry into President Biden. According to McCarthy, the House has found that "President Biden did lie to the American people about his own knowledge of his family's foreign business dealings" and that "bank records show that nearly $20 million in payments were directed to the Biden family members and associates through various Shell companies." But if the inquiry is opened, would Biden resign before things get too intense? And how would the presidency affect VP Kamala Harris? Glenn and Stu discuss why Republicans are making this move now and how it might go.
New Mexico Governor Michelle Lujan Grisham has issued an emergency public health order suspending the concealed and open carry of firearms for 30 days in Albuquerque. It didn't take long for pro-Second Amendment protesters and even some gun control-loving Democrats to condemn the order as extremely unconstitutional. So, why did she issue it, and only for 30 days? Glenn warns that it may be an attempt to bypass our court system. But he insists that despite this, it MUST be taken all the way to the Supreme Court. We're one emergency away from losing it all, he warns. So, will Americans stand up for their God-given rights?
22 years ago, Glenn wrote an essay called "The Greatest American Generation." But how much of it does he still believe? Are we still the same country that we were back then — an America that runs INTO burning buildings instead of from them? On the 22nd anniversary of the 9/11 terrorist attacks, Glenn re-reads that essay and emphasizes that one thing remains true: God has not forsaken us. He's trying to wake us up. So, will the American experiment die with us or blaze again?
