If Cory Booker was a superhero, it would be Super Stuntman — as in publicity stunt man. During his term as the Mayor of Newark, Booker made headlines with his social media super stunts; meanwhile, here's what was really happening in his troubled city.
Patrick Collins, CEO of The Gun Food, has lost thousands of dollars worth of ammunition. Why? Because customers’ orders don’t always seem to make it to their doors — especially when delivering with UPS. Collins joins Glenn to detail the issue, the lengths his company has gone to work with the delivery service, and the lack of detailed response or explanation from UPS. Where IS the ammo?!
Below is a rush transcript that may contain errors
GLENN: So yesterday, I read a story about The Gun Food. TheGunFood.com is a quick process ammunition supply company. And it is very active in supporting gun rights, to local state and national levels. They supply ammunition to regular people. And people who protect our society. Individual consumers, to ranges, to police departments and instructors. And this article was about how UPS seems to be losing a lot of their packages. They claim, that UPS is behind their missing packages, leading only one-third of their orders being delivered. The rest, gone. They can't seem to get a real answer, from UPS. Patrick Collins is the CEO of the Gun Food. Welcome, Patrick, how are you?
PATRICK: I'm great today. How are you?
GLENN: I'm good. So can you tell us a little bit about your business. You're fully licensed. No crackpot business. Fly by the seat of your pants. This is a legitimate gun and amnesty business. And you've done business with UPS for how long?
PATRICK: We've been doing business with UPS for approximately three years now. And unfortunately, we do not sell firearms. But we sell plenty of ammunition, we supply to plenty of different ranges. Et cetera. And so on.
GLENN: And, Patrick, how many packages have been lost?
PATRICK: Oh. I would say, approximately 14,000 dollars' worth over the course of the business. But however, recently, we just received a hit of about 8,000-dollar loss.
GLENN: So there is -- you know, I've done business with UPS. I don't lose packages like that. What are they saying to you, when you're like, wait a minute. It didn't arrive to where I was shipping it? What do they say?
PATRICK: Well, they try to blame it on sometimes the packaging itself. Et cetera. And so on. However, for the most part, we ship all of our ammunition insured. So it requires either a signatures, or depending on the value, it's always going to be insured for that value. However, the problem that we run into, is when it doesn't make it to our customer, and the customer calls us back, we have to provide that ammo. A lot of times, lives are on the line. Lives and livelihood, I would say. Whether it's an structure or police department. When they don't receive their ammo. There are issues happening.
GLENN: So we reached out to UPS. And I want to read what we wrote to them. UPS, I'm reaching out on behalf of the Glenn Beck Radio Program. Glenn will be interviewing an Atlanta had much based ammunition distributor, who alleges UPS is behind the reason these packages are not getting delivered to these customers. He states out of 18,000 rounds of ammunition, he shipped only 6,000 -- I'm sorry. He shipped 18,000. But 6,000 were actually delivered.
Additionally, it's being reported that Brownells, a large firearms and ammunition seller has had their UPS account canceled, and UPS is no longer listed as an option for shipping carrier.
Can you please provide some background information on why ammunition and gun sellers are having issues with their package delivery? They said, dear Glenn Beck Program, these are two separate issues. Regarding your question about shipping ammunition, quote, as a common carrier, UPS transports ammunition that constitutes cartridges, small arms, as defined in federal regulations. UPS has safety protocols, to help ensure the safe transport of ammunition in our network. We work with our customers to address their concerns. Including those with packaging. You can find out more about how to ship your ammunition section, UPS.com. It includes packaging requirements. So they didn't answer the question. They're just saying, again, they're alluding that your packaging is not compliant with them. That doesn't answer the question, where is the ammunition? And I would assume, you have tried to follow every single protocol that they have.
PATRICK: Yes. Every protocol was met. And exceeded, even. Because I actually have -- I have pictures of how the packages are packed, within the packages that are -- that they're sent in. So they asked me, how -- you know, what type of materials did I use? How was it marked or labeled? And I have all of that information. In fact, we change our protocol here, at TheGunFood.com to have our drivers, when they drop off the packages at the centers, they have to actually take a picture of it, on their conveyor belt when UPS takes possession of our packages.
GLENN: Do you have to do this with anybody else?
PATRICK: Well, unfortunately, the other major carrier for ammunition, they have their own issues. Which have been brought to light, probably about two years ago. So we unfortunately have stopped and not considered using them for our business. So we stuck with UPS.
GLENN: So now, when you have -- when you have UPS, you call them. And you say, look, I have the pictures. We packaged it right. We put it on your conveyor belt. Here's the receipt. What do they say to you?
PATRICK: Well, they say, provide the same amount of information, as if I were to lose a family heirloom. Or, you know, some other package, that could have been shipped. That's not involving ammunition. And at that rate, we're sitting here fighting it. I know quite a few other folks, that are -- have well over $300,000 of ammunition gone missing. And it's really changed the way we have to do our business now.
GLENN: 300,000 dollars' worth of ammunition? Those are a lot of bullets, that are just, what? Spilling out of their truck, because they're not packed right? And do they say, here's spoiled boxes, and here's the ammunition that we could save? I mean, they just don't explain where that ammunition and that defective box went to?
PATRICK: Exactly. To them, it's just a write-off. However, it's becoming a very expensive write-off. I would like to thank you for bringing a lot of attention to this. Because it really is a big deal. And it impacts people on multiple levels. More so than your average citizen would think. Imagine if the police department doesn't receive their ammunition, that they need to serve their civic duties -- civil duties.
GLENN: So -- well, imagine -- imagine if you got sloppy with ammunition, and you were just kind of losing some from time to time. What they would accuse you of. The -- UPS is part of this great reset. They're very, very deeply involved in that. I would like to think that this is just incompetence. Because it can't be excuse -- if you you do indeed have the pictures, and you're shipping them the right way. Which I believe you are. But please sends my office the pictures. Because we would like to follow this up.
There is -- there's no excuse. It's either theft. From their own employees. Or it is part of a -- of a hidden policy, that is disrupting the flow of ammunition. And that's -- that's -- I would -- I hope it's the theft from their employees. But I bet it's not.
PATRICK: Yes. And I 100 percent agree. Unfortunately, ammunition boxes are easy to identify. With the markings we need to put on them. And we try to hide them in ways, that is not as obvious. However, a lot of times, people know what they're grabbing, once they grab the box. Or perhaps even shake it.
GLENN: Oh, yeah. Way too heavy. Ammunition in a big box at least is very heavy.
All right. Well, we'll follow up. I would like you to reach out to my producers. If you do indeed have names of people that have lost 300,000 dollars' worth of ammunition, the same way you have. There's something going on here. Because all of a sudden, all of you guys are starting to just pack it wrong. It's either a -- their stonewalling here bothers me. Because there should be an answer. What happened to it? What happened to it? Okay. You didn't pack it right. Well, where did that box go? It's not like if I shipped diamonds through UPS. They're going to say, you know what, your box fell apart. Okay. Well, where are the diamonds? Well, you just write it off. That means, they're either keeping it, doing something with it. Or they have a theft problem.
UPS, which one is it? And then why is this happening, and you don't seem to care? Thank you, Patrick, I appreciate it. God bless you.
PATRICK: You have a good one.
GLENN: You bet.
U.S. politicians should NOT schedule their foreign travel based on the wishes of the Chinese Communist Party. But, with President Biden proving himself to be INCREDIBLY incompetent — even when it comes to small challenges — there’s also no reason to risk relations with China now. So, should Nancy Pelosi have skipped her trip to Taiwan to play it safe? Or was it right for her to go and show support for the Asian nation? In this clip, Glenn and Stu give their thoughts on the matter. PLUS, they discuss the INSANE monkeypox vs COVID hypocrisy from the left…
Below is a rush transcript that may contain errors
GLENN: All right. I want to knock a couple of things, you know, right off the top. Just knock them off. So we don't have to worry about them anymore. There are 26 Republicans, saying, including Mitch McConnell. Oh, he's tough. We support the Speaker of the House of representatives. Nancy Pelosi and her trip to Taiwan. Okay. All right. But there's some people in here, that I -- you know, respect. Just trying to see any of -- Marsha Blackburn. Mike Crapo. Chuck Grassley. Okay. So these guys -- these guys are on this list. Twenty-four of them. Or 26 of them. Saying, you know, Nancy Pelosi has a right to go. I agree with them. You have a right to go. But Nancy Pelosi also should engage her brain. And so should the administration. First of all, let's just talk about engaging your brain. Stu, I say, hey, I want to make a point about China. And I want to point a finger, and poke them in the chest in China. Do you think now, where you've just had a humiliating exit, in Afghanistan. No fault of, you know, our enemies. Just a fault of our own president and Pentagon. That still go, that was great. That was the most beautiful exit ever done.
A -- a Pentagon that is teaching everybody, I don't know. You go wear a dress, if you want, on the battlefield. I love it. I love it. You go, girl. And then you have the administration that just doesn't RN its ass from its elbow.
GLENN: Do you think now would be the time that you would be like, I want to poke China in the eye?
STU: Well, there are probably parts of that analysis that Nancy Pelosi would not agree with. But I think the Republicans you're talking about, would probably agree with all of that.
GLENN: She's an idiot.
STU: But, you know, I do have, I would say, a tremendous amount of sympathy for the position that China does not get to dictate the travel plans of our officials. Like, that's not how this works.
GLENN: I agree. I agree. This has and so I do understand that point of view. I tend to go with you on this, in that, there is just -- this administration is so incompetent. I don't want to take any risks in these situations, to inflame anything. Because they obviously can't seem to handle the most basic and simple situations. Let ones like this. But once China says, you can't go Nancy Pelosi, it almost makes it much more likely, that she has to. Because we can't see here and bend to every one of their demands.
GLENN: As I said yesterday, she has to go now. But the problem is, she didn't coordinate it. She's not the leader of foreign policy, the president is. So at least coordinate with the White House. So the White House doesn't come out and go, are we going to have noodles today? Oh, Chuck, she's going where? That doesn't seem like a very good idea. Call the Pentagon. And the Pentagon, hey, we have a lot of generals. Got together. We think this is the worst idea we've ever heard.
And she goes. She should have called them in advance, or they should have shut their mouth. But right now, we look like the Speaker of the House, and the president don't agree on Taiwan. Really bad. Really bad.
STU: Yeah. Really bad. And I think the speculation is that people who wanted this to go one way or another, leaked this information to blow up whatever was going on behind the scenes. Where maybe Nancy Pelosi wanted to go. Joe Biden didn't. So Pelosi leaks it to the press. So China responds to it. Then she's like, well, now, I have to go. There's a lot of games going on here. Dangerous games. And that's I think my problem. The problem is not that I go to Taiwan. I support Taiwan. And I don't care what China says to us. I don't think we should be reacting to what China says to us. However, this is a low probability, high impact event here. Where it doesn't -- my guess is, China is not going to start a world war over something that happens in Taiwan right now. But they might. And you have a president -- a president. A leader of China, who is looking to extend his reign, you know, in scope and time. Here in the next couple of years. Needs to show strength. Needs to show that he can stand up to the West. In his own domestic policy sort of situation. And he's doing that, at our expense. And who knows where this goes? Who knows how it spins out of control. They see the weakness of this country and president just like we do. And it puts us in a situation, where something could easily spin out of control, and put us into a situation that we obviously can't handle. We can't even handle what's going on with Russia, let alone Russia and China at the same time. So the risk here, is just not worth the reward of a symbolic gesture.
GLENN: It's -- you know, it's the same thing I feel with covid, and the monkey pox. That's a one-two punch that could put us out. You know what I mean?
GLENN: Oh, my gosh, people are tying from covid. We have no wear our mask. And now monkey pox. And monkey pox is so deadly, you almost never die from it.
STU: No one in the United States has died from it.
GLENN: They could. Have they turned into monkeys? You don't know. You don't know. So California has just declared this a state of emergency. They're all concerned with monkey pox. And yet, I haven't seen the ban on bathhouses. You know, hey. You know, just a friendly reminder. Maybe you shouldn't have the gay orgies right now. Because gay men are the most likely, at this time, to contract it, through gay sex, bathhouses. You know, all adds up. You know, they were so eager to shut down our church. Somebody might sneeze! You got to shut it down. Monkey pox is coming -- well, I shouldn't say that. It is mainly spread at this point, through that activity. And the city of San Francisco, just had like some big, I don't know. Some big fetish thing. I know. It's Wednesday. So, you know, what big fetish thing? Oh, the Wednesday night fetish thing. I got it. They had some big thing. And where was the state? We've got to protect people. Well, I mean, except for -- except for that. What, are you trying? Are you intentionally, Gavin Newsom, trying to kill gay people? Is that what's going on here? Your reckless, reckless, go have a party. I'm not going to shut them down. You're just going to try to kill gay people. And they don't even have ton old gay people. Just gay.
STU: You're making this point here, on hypocrisy, which is incredibly valid. But, like, the monkey pox situation here is sort of the way we should be handling these things. Right? Give people information, and let them assess their own risk. They want to go to kink fest in San Francisco, after learning this information. Okay. That's kind of on you, though. That's kind of your -- you're taking the risk there. And that's the way this would go. That's not the way, of course, we handled covid. Where we asked people who basically. Now, again, this is an overstatement. But basically had no risk of having -- of dying from covid. Younger people. You know, people with strong immunity. The healthy people that were younger. Basically had no risk. It wasn't exactly none. But it was close to none. And we told those people, they needed to do literally nothing for two years. You need to sit inside your house, do absolutely nothing. Don't go talk to anyone. Don't go to work. Don't go to the gym. Don't do anything. For a year or two years, depending on where you lived. And yet, we can't even say to people, who are in a community, where it seems like it's the highest risk at this point. Not exclusively. But seems to be the highest risk. Hey, we're not saying you can't be gay. We're not saying you can't go outside and go to work. We're just saying, like, let's abort the most -- the most risky behavior for, like, a month. And they won't even say that.
GLENN: Right. They won't even say -- I'm not even saying you should close these places down.
GLENN: I'm just saying, say you shouldn't do it right now. You might want to consider death. Well, no. It's monkey pox. Well, covid and monkey pox. Definitely, death. You should consider that you don't go.
STU: Yeah. And, Glenn --
GLENN: But you're not hearing this. This is a statewide emergency. Well, at this point, I mean, it turn into that, but at this point it's pretty much, you know -- not entirely, but pretty much exclusive to sexual contact. And it's -- and it's generally in the gay community.
STU: Yeah. Generally. Like, it's not an STD. Like, for example, HIV or chlamydia, right? That's not the exclusive way it passes. It passes with close contact though. And so sex certainly qualifies as that. And the -- the closer the contact, the more likely this is. And it's spread most widely in this community, so it would be the riskiest behavior. It's just not the only way you could get it. And have you noticed this, too, when it comes to the coverage of this? I don't know if I've ever realized this before. Maybe you have. Normally, you would be talking about this, as. How often do we say LGBTQIA plus. All of these terms. Like the G is for gay. Right? In the LGBTQ. They talk about it constantly. You're constantly talking about people's sexual orientation, based on the G. Gay. In this community. Now when we're talking about monkey pox, they have this new term, that they all seem to be adopting at the same time. Which is men who have sex with other men. And like, I -- didn't we summarize that with a three-letter word. Like, I thought that's what we did. Just from an efficiency standpoint. I thought that was what we --
GLENN: Oh, my gosh.
STU: And now it's men who have sex with other men. No, I'm serious. Is that a term? Like is that some sort of woke term? Like why men --
GLENN: You know what, I'm not even sure. But it's probably like people who have babies. Or what do they call them? Baby machines. Or what --
STU: Yes. Baby machines. You're right.
GLENN: Baby machines.
That over there, they identify as a baby machine.
Inflation is surging, and more and more Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. In fact, 61 PERCENT of Americans now are relying on paychecks to live. This is why President Biden’s approval rating is so low, Glenn says. Because he refuses to accept and acknowledge what Americans currently are going through. And they’ve gone through a LOT in just the past two years alone. In this clip, Glenn takes a look at prices, numbers, and statistics — like grocery prices, gas, and illegal migrant crossings — from June 2020 under Trump to June 2021 and 2022 under Biden. And this HUGE spikes show we’re practically living in a completely different America.
Below is a rush transcript that may contain errors
GLENN: Inflation is surging. More and more Americans are living paycheck to paycheck. 157 million adults. That is 61 percent of Americans, as of June, this number is up from 58 percent in May. A year ago, it was 55. But 61 percent of Americans now are living paycheck to paycheck. You disrupt anything, and they go under. That's the reality, that Biden. His -- his approval rating is so low. Not just because everything he's doing is leading to more misery. His approval rating is so low, because he refuses to recognize the truth. Every time, he says, we're not in a recession or inflation is just transitory. People stop listening to everything else he says. Because their experience. Their day to day experience is telling them differently. Now, as we are looking at inflation. And I mean incredible inflation. Let me just take you from June 2020.
To last year, at this time. To June 2022. Listen to this. Average gas price, when Trump was in office, $2.17, June 2020. Huh. June 2021, 3.15. That's after Biden comes to office. It's now the average of 4.82. So you're looking at more than a 2-dollar increase. Inflation rate, when Bush -- or, I'm sorry. When Trump was in office in June 2020, the inflation rate was .6 percent. The first year, June 2021, under Biden, it was 5.4. He said it was transitory. It is now 9.2.
It is transitory. That number is changing. It's just going in the wrong direction. Covid cases, seven-day average. Under Trump in June 2020. It was 22,433. In June 2021, last year, he brought it down to 11,756. Now that we're all vaccinated, in June 2022, the covid case's seven-day average is 106,757. The death rate has just gone down. Illegal border encounters. Under Trump at June 2020, it was 363,619 coming across our border illegally. In June 2021, just a few months in. That number under Biden went from 363 to 871,453. That number, this last June is now 1,478,977. You are 1.1 million more illegals coming in, June to June. Total consumer debt. Total consumer debt, in 2020, June 2020, it was negative .3 percent. After Biden gets into office, total consumer debt, because remember, you had so much money. You didn't know to do with it. Total consumer debt, was 4.2 percent. Today, total consumer debt, is 14 percent. This is a real problem. We're going in the wrong direction. This is why, the government is buying ammunition. They're trying to take away your guns. They're going and trying to get from the holster manufacturers, for some reason. Who has a holster in who doesn't have a holster? And why it is so important today, that you call to have Kyrsten Sinema's number. Her number in Washington, DC, or in Arizona. And beg her. She has been good and strong so far. But all of the pressures of hell are going to be coming down on her. They will make a deal, that only the devil could make. To get this bill. This climate tax bill, passed. Manchin has already folded. Sinema is the only one. And the Democrats are freaking out. Because she hasn't said anything about it. But I can guarantee you, they are trying to make a deal. And cut it. I mean, I wouldn't be surprised if all of a sudden, the government said, you know, after some studies. We think the Phoenix, Tucson area should just be domed and fully air-conditioned. We're going to call it the Sinema dome. Uh-huh.
They will cut any deal. Because they need every single of the 50 members of the Senate Democratic caucus to pass it. They've got to have every single one on board. One of them peels away, and that one will be Kyrsten Sinema. One of them peels away, and you don't get the climate deal.
Pray for her. And call her office, and ask her kindly. Please, don't pass on this tax. Because that's what it is. This tax will be so crippling to America. And I -- I really need you to understand, exactly what is -- is happening here. When we look at inflation. When we look at inflation, what are they doing to us?
Well, they're driving down supply, while driving prices up. Okay? So let's just say -- let's use gasoline. Or ammunition. What's whapping with the supply of gasoline and ammunition? Well, it's getting fewer and fewer. Not because more and more people are buying it. Which is true. But more and more people are buying it, at extraordinary prices. You're buying gasoline, but you're buying it, begrudgingly, and you're probably cutting back on the miles. Meanwhile, what has the government done. They've taken the strategic oil supply. And they have sold it into the market, to China. Overseas! And here.
And it has made some impact. But that is short-term. Because there is no progress -- it's not like we're waiting for something to be fixed, and to be opened up. And supply us with more. This is a dwindling supply. And what are they doing? They're not only selling our strategic oil. Then he's promising to replace that strategic oil, by paying twice as much as Donald Trump did to fill that thing. Which will take the oil supply away from the general population. It will have the government then taking your tax dollars, or printing more money from the fed. And buying that, which will drive up inflation. And drive up the price. This is really important, to understand. Inflation, and now the Manchin bill, still in the Senate. Please call Kyrsten Sinema's office, put people over parties here. But the government is spending more on gas, concrete, steel pretty much everything they can. Driving those prices up. BlackRock, buying up houses. ESG, hedge funds, buying up trailer parks all across the country, and then passing a 100 percent rent increase on to these people. So their -- they're buying up houses, and paying over asking price to buy up entire neighborhoods. They're buying these neighborhoods up, and then what are they doing? They're not selling them for a profit. They're holding on to them, and collecting rent. This pounds you on the free market side. You can't afford things on the free market side, because the public/private partnerships with these ESG funds and these corporations, plus all of the money, that the government is spending. They're driving up the price. Then on top of it, they're taxing you, which takes more of your money. And then they have the hidden tax, without representation of inflation. So in the end, the public/private partnerships with the government own everything. And you're left with nothing, but the hand that you have, that you now have to reach out and ask the government, please. Can you help my family? I need a handout.
You followed the rules your whole life. These people are breaking the rules every day, and they're getting away with it. And you're getting the shaft in the end. It is not too late, as long as you educate yourself on what's happening. And you speak out. The tide is coming in.
We little our boats couldn't float. The freedom boat couldn't float anymore. Because the tide is out. The tide is coming back in. But right now, is when we need everybody in boat. Because here's what happens. It's said over and over again. You know, hey, the government is not your dad. They're not our parent. Uncle Sam is not really your uncle. Well, that's more true than ever before. They treat us like children, and try to make all our decisions. Yes. But what you're -- what you're missing here. Is that it's not just that they're taking your right to make your own decisions. They're taking everything you have. So your only option is to come to them, or their public/private partnership. So you can rent or just live and eat, and I want to remind you, what every dad has always said. Every mother has always said. And you probably have said now to your children. Because it's true. I want you to remember as they treat us like children. And put us in the situation, where we have to have their care. I want you to remember, what was said to you, and you have said to your children. As long as you live under my roof. You will live and obey my rules.
That's why when the World Economic Forum and all the Build Back Better people tell you, it's going to be great. And you're not going to own anything. But you'll be happy. No, I will not. Because as long as I don't own it, then I live under somebody else's roof. My entire life will be under someone else's roof. And I have no intention of obeying those rules.
GLENN: Here's a clip from the BBC talking to children who are predicting the future, in the year 2000. Now, listen to this.
VOICE: I think it will be -- people will be regarded as more statistics, than actual people.
VOICE: Sort of all machines everywhere. Everyone doing everything for you.
VOICE: Computers are taking over now, and in the year 2000, there just won't be enough jobs to go down.
