What would those TSA X-rays say if they could speak?

A few weeks ago Glenn saw images of the TSA scanners, and thought “what would these images say if they could speak?”

Obviously they can’t, but you can. “Wake the nation up,” Glenn said last night, “you can’t continue to remain silent.”

Benjamin Franklin said, “They that give up essential liberty to obtain temporary safety deserve neither.”

      Is it really blindness — or madness — to excuse tyranny in one’s own country?

      Look where it’s gotten us, and please, please, see where it’s going!

      And YOU’RE PAYING FOR IT! You’re paying for your own enslavement, if not your immediate extermination.

    I have a conspiracy theory and I’m not sure if this is the article to comment in with it, but here it goes:

    All right class, remember how in the Cold War the Soviet Union sponsored communist rebel groups all over the world to overthrow their governments and how the United States countered by supporting the standing governments or by sponsoring counter-rebel groups? For the most part, our country respected sovereign nations and we didn’t get involved until it was apparent that either Russia or China was sponsoring communist rebel factions.

    Fast forward to recent history. Since Obama took office our government has supported “demonstrations” and rebel groups in other nations. ie: Arab Spring. These groups tend to be Islamist or socialist in nature, or both. We support these groups against their sovereign governments, even to the point where we use our military might to decide conflicts in favor of the rebel groups. ie: Libya.

    Meanwhile our government has been agreeing to international treaties that legally bind our country in the world of international law. Remember SOPA and PIPA? Well, ACTA was initiated by our government and Japan’s and has now been accepted by most other countries. No elected official, no one accountable directly to voters in the U.S. was involved, at least in any way that they could be held accountable. Not only that, but the wording of the ACTA document has been hidden, not only from us, but from members of Congress and the Senate as well (as several have petitioned to see the document but have been refused access).

    Now, consider the NDAA 2012 and the contraceptive mandate in Obamacare. Both are very unpopular. The NDAA 2012 has been hidden in the closet for now, but the Contraceptive issue is in our faces almost every day. Ignore the fact that mandating ANYONE to be required to pay for contraceptives for other people is overtly unconstitutional. Our government could have easily made the issue go away by agreeing to allow a religious exemption, and it would have been a non-issue and they could have gone back to fighting for eliminating the religious exemption after the November election. But, they didn’t. And it’s almost as if it was to poke a stick in the eye of religious people in this country. Add to that the simultaneous multiple attacks on religious expression happening throughout the country, including the removal of the banner in the Rhode Island School.

    In addition to legal measures, every aspect of Christianity and Judaism seem to be under attack in the media, by celebrities, pundits, and journalists, and while Christians and Jews are typically the victims of mocking, verbal abuse, criticism, and scorn we’re the ones being vilified. Again, it seems as though we’re being deliberately provoked.

    Add to this the ridiculous OWS movement that destroys our cities while taunting us, people being stopped for carrying licensed weapons (even soldiers/veterans), the TSA misbehavior, the food police issues, the issues with the “education reforms”, the continued bailouts of even foreign countries while we’re mired in debt ourselves, the race baiting, the potential for mandated vaccinations, the increases to taxes and fees for our businesses, what seems to be an almost deliberately maintained high unemployment rate, the high gas prices, the mind-boggling blockage of the Keystone Pipeline, the debunked climate scandals that we’re still contributing taxpayer funding for, the increased violence from drug cartels, pro-legalize drugs rhetoric, “gay marriage”…

    People, I believe we are being deliberately pushed to the point of violent rebellion. Why? I believe that because the Secular Progressives can’t win a permanent control structure in the United States through our votes, they plan to oust our government with international support. I believe that just like all of the Arab Spring rebellions international support will be lined up to step in and force our government to step aside and just as in Egypt the Muslim Brotherhood was able to take control, I believe that Secular Progressives have a final hand to play in this poker game to push an organized political movement to the forefront to seize the chaotic opportunity for control.

    I know it’s the very definition of a conspiracy theory… and because reality is chaotic and because we do have some people on our side in high places this may not come to be… but it just seems to me that this is where the “nudges” of Cass Sunstein and company are pushing us to.

      Sadly, “Mars”, I must agree with you.  My wife has been trying to get me to see this happening, but I have been reluctant, because I believed that the “good old Americans” who have always finally risen up to defend freedom and American values, which were founded on principles defined by “religious values”, that is, the belief that there is a God, and that He has an interest in America as the one country which would always hold up the “torch of freedom”, and goodness, and fairness, against any country that tried to take those priceless things away, for any reason, good or evil.  America has always been slow to react, possibly because we are a mixture of all races and nationalities, a “stew” made from the freedom lovers of the world who came here because they could not live without the freedoms and “righteousness” we’ve always represented.  And they have been willing to put everything on the line to defend those blessings – their freedom, their treasure, their very lives.  Until now, this kind of American represented the majority.

      Until now. I am not sure if there are enough of those wonderful Americans who, after being pushed and pushed to the edge of oblivion, risking the loss of America as a place where “right” ultimately prevails, even in spite of mistakes made along the way, will finally say “enough!” and rise up in defense of American values.  Not just their homes, or treasure, or even family, but AMERICA.  Where are they now?  Isn’t it time to stand up and say “enough!”, and strike down those who are clearly attempting to destroy us?  Or have we become too fat and lazy to expend the personal energy, make the personal commitment, put ourselves on the line, to defend America as the one place in all the world where even those who criticize America are safe from those who would take away their fundamental freedoms, and replace them with one form or another of autocratic rule by small numbers of corrupt people.

      Everything we now enjoy because we are Americans is now in serious jeopardy.  For the first time in my 60+ years, I believe we are in grave danger from what I define as “evil”.  Communism in all its forms failed to conquer us from without, but just as they warned us would happen, we are now being attacked from within by an evil which claims that the warknesses and mistakes of America are reason to destroy it and replace it with a system which has already failed many times in the world for centuries.  And as always, the proponents of this “evil” have managed to convince many of us that they are only trying to help us do what we are unable to do ourselves: to solve our problems, which some of them created in the first place, by removing America and replacing it with, what?  Another European state with barely funcitioning economy, where almost all productive output of the people is claimed by the state, then doled out in unjust and unfair amounts by corrupt beaurocracies who place themselves above us, politically, economically, and even spiritually, because they had the resolve to take away what we would not fight to protect?  Do we really think that is better than what we have?  We should not try to solve problems caused by corruption by replacing it with even more corruption!

      So much of what is said by Glenn Beck, and by many people here, has enough truth in it, is “good enough” in terms of accuracy and content, to convey to us all what is happening in places and in ways we individually do not have resources to discover for ourselves.  Certainly, as we may clearly expect, the opposition, those who promote and even sincerely believe in the “evil” which is fast overcoming us, does all it can to make us believe this information is wrong, “bogus”, lies, made up by people who they claim are just after all our money.  In fact, the opposition works very hard to convince us that THEY are the “good guys”, and that people like Glenn, those who support him and those who believe him, are actually the conspiracy which is working to destroy us and to bring down America.  And they do that by convincing us that it is all about money, and that all the “conservatives” and others who are not extreme progressives, are the ones to fear because they want to own all our money. President Obama is the poster child of the far left, if “far left” is strong enough a label to express the terrible evil which they hope for.  I don’t think most of those in favor of an extreme progressive America even know who they are working for, who is paying the huge bills, and who will rule over them if they succeed.  There is a malevolent force backing them which is so powerful, we won’t be able to stop it if we wait too much longer to begin fighting it!

      I certainly did not begin writing here to produce this extremely long emotional statement of what I think of the present situation.  But, it has become so obvious that we are in mortal danger, that I cannot hold back.  I hope that someone will read this and perhaps realize how serious things have gotten.  November will determine whether the United States of America continues to exist as the beacon of hope for the world, or whether we become just another grey, hopeless socialist slum where the only understanding of what it is like to be free will die with my children’s generation.

        Whatever variables we’re missing in assessing this situation one thing is certain – There is a consistent and deliberate attempt to push collectivism around the world by a large number of wealthy and powerful people, and, in essence, it is a modern form of feudalism. We can see HOW they’re doing it, at least how they’re doing it in the forms of OWS, taxes, regulations, and the systematic stripping of individual liberty. Yet, even knowing how, even having an idea of how to counter them, even if we’re successful countering them, the motive is left unexplained. WHY are they doing it?

        I believe it is a combination of a desire to have unrestricted power to implement population control methods and a desire to eliminate accountability by implementing a system by which the world’s decisions are made by an international body made up of a small number of people – as opposed to a Congress or Parliament.

        There are numerous politicians and academics in power in the U.S. right now that are non-religious and are largely supportive of eugenics in one form or another. John Holdren is advisor to President Obama for Science and Technology, Director of the White House Office of Science and Technology, and Co-Chair of the President’s Council of Advisors on Science and Technology (PCAST).  Stephen Chu is the Energy Secretary. Both men have written numerous articles and books on the subject of population control and both have been proponents of forced sterilization. Look up either man. Read their own words. They are dictating national policy.

        In addition consider this – Bill Gates, Warren Buffett, and George Soros are, by the standards of Forbes, the wealthiest three individuals in the United States. What do all three of them have in common? All three are advocates of population controls. Bill Gates is a second generation population control advocate, with his father being one of the few open eugenics advocates of his generation. Warren Buffett was known for his sizable investments in

          To be credible and non-destructive, you really need to stop thinking all of the right are saints and victims and helpless.  Meaning, you need to acknowledge that your own gop leadership from bush and cheney and romney are all into the same thing as obama.  Until then, you are not much better than soros and have no moral highground.

    What if we have a boycott air travel? I know some have to fly for business, but unless it’s absolutely necessary,  I say we drive or we don’t go. We need to stop picking and choosing by convenience, on what issues we’re going to stand. The only way to be heard is to be loud, and be consistant on EVERY issue where we feel our liberty is being threatend. Citizens writing and phoning our elected officials in not working, but I can bet you they would listen to multi million dollar airline companies whose bottom lines are greatly affected by a boycott :-)

          How about FIRST we get out of every other country but our own? They
          don’t “hate us for our freedoms;” they hate us because we’re ILLEGALLY
          in their country ordering them around.

          Second, it’s amazing that by now you do not seem to know that the
          “Underwear Bomber” was given a pass by what turned out to be an American
          agent; the ticket agent at the counter where the UB wanted to get on a
          flight wouldn’t let him because he had no passport. Along comes a guy in
          a business suit who takes him to a private room. Next thing the
          passengers on that flight know, he’s aboard and trying to set his
          underwear on fire. It was passengers and crew who stopped him, not the
          TSA — which couldn’t have in the first place, since he was flying from
          Belgium (? — sorry, can’t recall the foreign country at the moment;
          could have been Netherlands) to the U.S.

          Every single “terrorist” aboard a flight has either been on board
          courtesy U.S. “intelligence,” and thus sailed through airport
          “security,” and/or has been thwarted by passengers and crew, NOT the

          The TSA is only about controlling us. Do YOU have any solutions to the
          fact that our own government is targeting us in the name of fear, of
          “terrorism,” and to compound the insult, we’re FORCED to pay for this
          charade in taxes.

          Doing away with taxes would dramatically and almost overnight shrink
          this government down to its Constitutional limitations, and because we
          would no longer be occupying other countries not our own, remove the
          incentive to “terrorism” against us. Couple that with concealed-carry
          aboard every flight, train, highway, and bus, and safety dramatically
          increases to at least 99.99%.

            There is nothing to tell “your” security people to do if the Department of Homeland Security and its thug agency TSA aren’t there because they don’t exist.

            The “speech” is root out the ostensible motivation: pull out our presence in all other countries. You do not accept this? Then that is the problem, not “suicide bombers.”

            You seem to think “your” “security people” are necessary and legitimate. I’m insisting they’re not, and that they’re tools of terrorism.

            My solution is that “you” and “your” “security people” go away and let us and the airlines work things out for ourselves.

            Are you aware that all of the “incidents” of “possible terrorism” “prevented” by our “security” and “intelligence” forces have been instigated and brought to fruition by none other than our FBI assisted in a couple of cases by the CIA or local “law enforcement”?

            Solution: get government out of our lives.

            If we stopped paying for “you” and “your security people,” an awful lot of insanity would be cured, and we’d all be MUCH safer by simple default!

      You’re calling Glenn a libertarian – ha ha.  He spews libertarian rhetoric, but Glenn is confused or something, because it seems more often that libertarians freak him out and puts out calls to stop them.

      Good questions – yeah, where are those solutions?  They correctly point out the problems but freeze at sane solutions.  Or is Glenn saying the only solution is to support the Israeli politcians?

      Paul has given a solution, but has not focused more time on it – he says to enforce border control and monitor better who comes in and out of this country.

    I’m already boycotting air travel.  We drove for our last two vacations.  I won’t get on a plane now unless it is absolutely necessary.

      I have been boycotting air travel after an incident in which my mother and I were flying and she wound up tripping; when I bent down to help her up a TSA agent went ballistic, threatened me and my mother with arrest for ‘causing a security disturbance’. This agent got violent and struck me across the side of the head, at the same time another agent used a taser on me for “threatening a TSA agent” even though I was holding my mother in my arms.

      My mom was using a cane and in her late seventies at the time; an off duty marshall seen the incident and supported my side of events. To this day I am on the no fly list and every TSA agent in my area that I run into causes me no end of harassment away from the airports.

      I will never trust the TSA ever.

    glenn, love listening to you but … shave and get rid of the retro glasses.  not sure what your image consultant is telling you (or perhaps this is the problem – you don;t have one) but you are looking trendy and mainstream.  do not become the cliche of today’s fashion glenn – it is the first step to controling you completely.  embrace your inner jelly roll – this is who you are!

       I agree.  Glenn’s personal grooming standards have gone downhill since he left Fox.  Maybe he feels this is his way of rebelling against the media establishment, but in my opinion, it makes him appear very unprofessional.  He frequently appears with shirt tails hanging out, cuffs unbottoned, clothes mismatched, and in serious need of a shave.  Even though content should be the most important aspect of any news story, style should not be forgotten.

    I have a simple solution. Opt Out – Refuse to be scanned.  I have a disability (left forearm amputation) and wear a prosthetic limb. 7 years ago, I “opted out” of taking my shoes off and my belt off – partly because it would NEVER help me get through the metal detector without a 2nd screening and party because I was tired of the complete waste of time.  Rather than boycott air travel, I simply opt out of being full body scanned or bullied into doing what I don’t want to do.

    Yesterday, in Philadelphia, the TSA screener INSISTED that as a passenger with a disability, I was REQUIRED to remove my shoes and go through the full-body scanner.  I politely refused both and when she insisted, I simply said “Maam, I am opting out and prefer a 2nd screening”  I then proceeded through the metal detector (shoes and belt still on my body) and waited about 30 seconds for the 2nd screening process.  During the 2nd screening, the screener, after patting down around my chest straps and testing my limb – and shoes – STILL ON MY FEET – for explosive residue,  stated that he was required to take me to a private screening room and visually inspect my straps.  I again refused and requested he contact his supervisor to show me the requirement in writing.  The supervisor asked I wait a few minutes so she could produce a copy of the written requirement.  After a few minutes, she returned and both she and the male screen apologized for “getting it wrong”

    Seven minutes invested in maintaining my right to privacy.  I never had to remove my shoes, belt or go through the full body scanner. 

    So, OPT OUT.  Be polite, but know your rights. Study the TSAs own website. You have the right to not remove your clothing if you do not want to.  You have the right to be treated with dignity and respect and should insist that you do. The TSA does not have the right to detain you unreasonably, to search you unreasonably or refuse a reasonable accommodation. I tell TSA agents all the time that I will gladly give them my shoes after I am allowed to sit down and remove them without embarrassment or risk of fall.  I get told all the time that I’ll have to have a 2nd screening and I just politely reply that “I’m OK with that”

    If more travellers were to consistently “opt out” of being herded like sheep – The process would change.

         Jason, I agree with you.  It is so so so very refreshing to see shining examples of politeness when they happen (albiet few and far between) with today’s youth… my hat’s off to the young man who gave up his seat Saturday on the NYC Subway to allow my 15 yo daughter to sit (and YES she did tell him thank you) – and the young “skater dude” (self-proclaimed) who allowed me to go ahead of him in line and proudly proclaimed that his “mama taught him to respect his elders”  God Bless those “Mama’s”

        The issue isn’t “politeness.”

        I don’t believe politeness got you through. It’s what earlier trailblazers against the TSA have accomplished that got the kid gloves out for you.

        There have been too many well-publicized incidents of TSA goons abusing initially polite people with disabilities, medical conditions, prostheses, and trying to stand up for their natural and Constitutional rights — non-aggressively but assertively. They’re treading on eggs, especially since the incidents with GOP presidential candidate Congressman Dr. Ron Paul and his metal knees and his son Senator Rand Paul being singled out.

        This situation shouldn’t even exist, much less should human beings have to politely deal with the instigators.

        And I thought I was the “only” person who noticed this lack of politeness that was so common in my youth and most of my life.  It’s GONE.  My guess is that it’s the result of poor parenting.  As a child I was constantly asked, “what do you say?”  This prompted a “please” … “thank you” …  “may I?” … Civility is taught in childhood.

      Good post – in my area of the nation I wind up dealing with many TSA agents when they are off duty; and it seems like the ones who are true thugs constantly go out of their way to harass me across the board.

       I tried opting out & got huffed & puffed at and delayed and delayed and heard many snide remarks about how my cell phone puts out less radiation, etc.  My wallet, computer and everything else had already gone thru the machines and were sitting unattended on the other side of the checkpoint–open and could easily have been taken by someone (as has happened with many others).  I told them I had a screw in my shoulder that would cause them to pat me down anyway and they said, “Oh no–these account for that kind of thing.” 

      They called for a male guard to come search me–a female showed up 5 minutes later and they screamed at her “WE CALLED FOR A MAN!”  I was getting really freaked out that my wallet was sitting out in the open, so I acquiesced and went through.

      Guess what?  I still got searched w/ a pat down b/c the scanner bleeped at the screw.  The guy who did the pat down had been standing on the other side of the machine all along.

      John, this was excellent information and I, for one, plan to implement it the very next time I pass through airport security.  It isn’t practical to boycott travel, and in any event, doing so punishes the airlines, not the TSA.  Thanks for your perspective.

         It SHOULD punish the airlines.  They are in on this and they should be ashamed as should the TSA and al people who are a party to this.  I don’t normally boycott anything.  I just don’t use specific products, but I also tell them why, if I can, such as seeing the sign on a local store telling me that no guns are allowed, when I am a CCW licensed gun owner.  I walk in and tell them they lost my business because of this and that because I have a gun, their business is safer with me in it.  If more people would do that, things would change.  Just don’t use the word BOYCOTT.

          Thomas, your approach would obviously be the way to go IF airlines were in charge of airport security, but they’re not. Which airline can I choose to fly within (or to or from) the U.S. and avoid the TSA? None. Now if you want to say that airlines should pressure municipal authorities to opt out of having the TSA operate security at individual airports and have the airlines run security instead, that’s a little different. If I was an airline CEO, I would probably feel (at least at this point in time) that crossing Holder/DOJ and/or Sister Janet might not be healthy for the long-term health of my business. But that is yet another story.

       I opted out and almost arrested for “paper” slippers on my feet to protect them and me. I had picked up MRSA staph infection going through TSA in Honolulu and ended up in the hospital the next day in Seattle. After getting out my flight home they were all up in arms over paper slippers that I had from the manicure shop that literally just the soles of my feet and a strap. They tried to confiscate them, I refused as I had another connecting flight. I asked to see the supervisor and after then conversed I asked to see the paperwork and again received nothing. They delayed us to the point of almost missing the flight and I picked up my paper slippers and ripped them up in front of them. I wrote to TSA Seattle and nationally to complain and never received a reply from either so I sent a letter to the editor of the Seattle PI and then too never received a reply. Many TSA agents have just gotten power hungry but they put my life in danger as a result.

      worked out for you.  My husband would be in a similar situation.  He had surgery on his

      back in ’04 and requires leg braces in order to keep his balance, walking with the aid of

      a cane.   It would be impossible for him to remove his shoes without sitting down.

      Thankfully, we are not required to fly anywhere at this time.  Family are all close by.

       I will NOT fly at all.  And if more people would do this, the airlines may just intervene when they begin losing money.  I know it’s a stretch and it may just be a huge hassle for some, BUT DO NOT GIVE IN.  Find another way thru either opting out of taking a train or renting a car and driving.  The TSA is simply ridiculous/  I have had enough of this gestapo.

        Write, call, e-mail, your Congress Critters, your state legislators and governor, the POTUS, etc., sign the petitions (Congressman Dr. Ron Paul has one available to sign for the whole Congress) to have the TSA abolished. And don’t stop, don’t give up, don’t back down. Remember the debacle in Texas last year? TSA threatened to cut off all commercial flights in/out of Texas if the Texas legislature and governor signed a law banishing the TSA.

        There’s no REAL reason for their existence. Not ONE reason.

        Realize: this government (not “Obama”) is all about intimidation and tyranny.

        And you’re PAYING FOR IT.

    This is insane! …insane because Americans are ALLOWING IT!  I suggest that EVERYONE all at once, STOP FLYING!  If enough stop flying because of this unhealthy and inhumane instrusion, then the airlines will hurt financially and TSA won’t have work and then what?  Uh, maybe THEN they’ll figure out another way of handing security; uh, like taking lessons from a country that already offers safe flying WITHOUT scanners.

    I say leave the plane for the underwear bombers and shoe bombers and the
    TSA agents.  Drive your car.  It is much cheaper even with a motel room and
    the peace and no stress is worth the drive.  Besides you get to see how
    truly beautiful America is.  We had a cooler which we kept lunch items and
    boiled eggs in.  Than we used the coffee makers in the hotel rooms to heat
    water and ate instant oatmeal with hard boiled eggs.  We didn’t have to
    rent a car when we got to our destination.  We didn’t have to pay all of the
    fees that the airlines charge.  Our trips were always cheaper than the cost
    of the airlines and the rental cars.

    The last time I flew I was ‘selected’ to go through the scanner.  I asked if I could be patted down instead and they insisted that I go through the scanner.  Again I asked to be patted down and they acted as if I were trying to hide something.  I finally acquiesced and was scanned, only to be held up for 15 minutes while they went over my scan.  I am a middle aged caucasian woman, there is nothing sinister about my appearance and nothing that should have alerted them to pay extra attention to me. After waiting, THEN they patted me down!  Cripes, that was what I asked them to do initially!  After being patted down, THEY SWABBED MY HANDS FOR EXPLOSIVES RESIDUE and ran it through some kind of computer.  The TSA Agent stated that she “wanted to see what you have been up to.”  Are you kidding me?!?!?  They finally allowed me to gather my things, and I literally had to run to my gate in order to make my flight.

    If I am asked to be scanned ever again, I will Opt out and politely ask to be patted down, and will stand my ground until my request is granted.  With all of this scanning has the TSA ever ONCE caught someone with evil intent?  If so, I’ve never heard of it.

    Has anyone seen the story about the guy who has shown that something strapped to your side will not show up because of the black background?? I read somewhere today that the story had been pulled, or the video, but I watched it yesterday and I’m sure I was not the only one. This person got a knife and something else through the scanners twice, at two different airports, so apparently these things really do not even work, and still there is all this controversy.  I say they should quit using them now since they are not even effective, and since this guy who posted this video just exposed a terrible flaw to the world.  This is more disturbing to me than the images, though those are beyond disturbing as well.  I think we should all be sounding the alarm about this.

    Most of us get on the plane to go somewhere so what are we suppose to do? I can’t afford to miss a flight or lose my money just because I don’t want to go through the screeners and or wait to get patted down.They have us by the cross hairs and they know it.  I don’t vote for anyone that does not share my principles and values and I know how to write a letter to a Congressperson or Senator so this is all I can do for the time being.

    I have had joint replacement surgery on both of my knees, and as a result I have metal implants in them so I cannot pass through the metal detector without setting it off.  I have politely asked to go through the scanners, and the TSA screeners have all been helpful.  Once they apparently saw something and patted me down below the waist.  The screener was annoyed that he had to do it because he could see that I was cooperating with him.  I even said, “You know, I choose the scanner because I don’t want the pat down.”  He didn’t mind me saying that.  I do NOT want to be patted down because I resent being treated like a criminal in the same way someone who is being arrested is.  I will continue to opt for the scanner over the pat down.

    Our civil liberties have taken a huge beating since 9-11. TSA is a joke. They get paid so little, many of these officers are shopping at the food bank to ensure their kids get fed.  The whole system is a bunch of smoke and mirrors to make us feel safe. But, I’ve never felt not safe, even after 9/11.  We have a far greater chance of dying in a car accident than dying in a terrorist attack….what we should really be afraid of is cancer from living in a poisoned environment.

    I am 58 years old. When I was a child, during the height of the Cold War, we were told about what life was like in Communist Russia. The police could come for you  in the night and you would die or disappear. You could be searched without any kind of warrant or reason given. You had to produce “papers” without any justification if you were traveling so the State could keep up with where you were going and what you were doing at all times. 
    It was a matter of intense pride that here in America, land of the free, these things were not done. We were free people with God given rights guaranteed by our Constitution. Privacy was valued and respected.
    No more. We seem to be hurtling toward Soviet-style society in what will ultimately be a fruitless bid for “safety”.  The world is not now, nor has it ever been “safe”. Evil lives and people die. Nothing in history has changed this. Nothing ever will.
    I don’t fly anymore. I value my personal dignity and privacy too much. I feel very sorry for those whose jobs require them to fly. It has to be terrible to be assaulted like this over and over again.

      I am 57. I remember the same thing. So we were attacked in 2001. Now after fighting for over 10 years when you look at America don’t you just have to woner who won?

    These images are also with a high contrast resolution so the public doesn’t feel as threatened for seeing the scans.  When you lower the resolution, the images being taken from us become far more invasive.

    Did you know you can take the images of TSA scans and do a color inversion just like a picture negative, and you get the complete naked person in living color?  Also, if you stare at the picture long enough and then move your eyes to a white wall, you can see the person in color as well.

    The TSA screeners in some airports believe they’re prison guards. They bellow to the people with decidedly nasty attitude, contempt, and hostility. This is the attitude they’ve picked up from their superiors. Now that a YouTube video has shown that the “backscatter” X ray machines can easily be fooled, and now that TSA has reneged on its offer to have the potentially harmful effects of its machines tested by an independent lab — we know there’s no real justification for this humiliating assault on our sovereignty. Knives, scissors, box cutters or even guns cannot take down a plane. The cabin doors are locked and the passengers are militant. TSA or someone need only inspect for explosives, and that can be done with detection equipment. It’s not necessary to take off shoes or be put through a scanner. What’s a knife wielder or gunman going to do on a plane that they can’t do at the mall or in a Starbucks? Nothing — except be brought down quicker than they would be anywhere else. They can’t take over the aircraft. Our government and the TSA is conveniently using the Islamic generated “terror” against our own citizens. The Obama administration in particular is very impatient to get us all to shut up and obey. They are totalitarian collectivists. Recently it seems they’ve come out of the closet on who and what they are. Though they still mouth lies they act with a sense of impunity. This moment, these coming elections, are the hinge of the fate of the USA.

    Rush Limbaugh made a very interesting analogy today:
    He compared Obamas policies this way. Imagine yourself in any of the numerous national parks in this country. We are told upon entering not to feed the animals because they would lose all their instincts for survival by expecting to be fed by humans instead of foraging on their own. They would starve to death if we continue to feed them. Isn’t this what has happened to our citizens on welfare, food stamps and government housing? They have been stripped of their self esteem and the ability to care for themselves and their families?
    They have beem duped into thinking the government knows what is best for them? Isn’t the government enabling them and their future geneation

    Is there anything being done to stop this?  How do we stop all of this screening, pat down stuff?  I thought the metal detectors were enough.

    The only thing I see is boycotting.  Anyone want to go together on a plane?  My dad used to fly his own.  He said you spend 4 hours on the ground for each hour of travel.   Have to make sure the plane is okay.  You have to get a pilot’s license, etc.  Something to look into.  Forget this commercial stuff.  Can’t very well go to Hawaii, though.  Planes and space at the airports is more expensive now though than it was in 60’s and 70’s
