I’m rapidly coming to the conclusion that, although Mr. Obama is the very bottom of the barrel, Mr. Romney is not far enough above the dregs to make any difference at all in the way things are currently being handled, and, at best would do pretty much the same things Barack does.  I’m sure Mitt would support the occupy movement in the same mealy-mouthed doublespeak.  Every time I read a story like this, I think that the American People are at their very best when in crisis mode, and re-electing Obama will inevitably throw the country into a very, very deep crisis which would probably result in the vast political reorganization we desperately need in order to survive as a nation.  Mr. Obama’s proven ineptitude and calculated partial honesty may well result in the salvation of  this country.  I think that the current politicians have to be replaced by people who really love the United States, and Mr. Obama’s reign could, inadvertently, be one of the best things that could ever have happened to us.

and others that don’t set my teeth on edge or make me rush for the

mute button!  Both my sons are big music collectors too—among us, we

You have me beat. I grew up listening to the radio when Mom had it on while we were getting ready for school. The first songs I remember hearing were “Paper Roses” sung by Anita Bryant (before the OJ commercials) and “Walking to New Orleans” by Fats Domino–there was even a ‘line dance’ for this song that was popular! I got into Swing in the late 90′s with the Brian Setzer Orchestra. Love country music, blue grass, the Beatles, blues, jazz, classical, rock ‘n roll, soft rock, some pop, musicals–Broadway and Movies. My kids are big music fans…did my share of chaperoning to concerts in the 90′s as well (ugh) and my spouse was also a former music dj. One of the contemporary artists that I like is the Dave Matthews Band. But I definitely don’t like his politics! We could supply a music store (pre-itunes) and a video store (pre-netflicks)!

One of my closest workplace friends is an atheist and so is my oldest sister. I love and respect them just the same. I don’t believe evolution accounts for the beauty and diversity of life in its many forms. I don’t believe the myriad of thoughts, emotions and creativity mankind experiences can be attributed to a merely ‘top of the food chain’, survival of the fittest, per chance, cosmic experiment, evolved chimpanzee’s greatest potential. Life is much more profound, beautiful and inspiring than that. I don’t feel hopless or alone. I litterally feel The Creator’s presence oft’ times.
