In his statement Obama has shown the complete and blatant disregard for the Constitution and the Congress; which he has done before and will continue to do so as long as he remains in the office of the POTUS.

Yet with Obama here we again see the twisted hypocrisy he constantly displays for all of the people of America to see and understand – he says he believes in the second amendment, yet will sign the UN Small Arms Treaty, probably bypassing Congress if they fail to ratify it for him.

He wants assault weapons (AK’s he specified in an example), yet he willingly and knowingly authorized Fast and Furious to arm the drug cartels, w/o any consultation with the government of Mexico, for the purpose of usurping the Second Amendment that he professes to care about.

They don’t just come from Mexico. You won’t find many articles about it, but some gangs have skilled enough members that they are making AK’s and other guns on shop equipment. A couple of years ago there were stories about this happening in the Southwest. In other words, if the criminals are learning how to make guns and ammunition from scratch, a ban will mean nothing.

It’s NOT about the guns!! The criminals will have guns.  The ill need to be treated!!!!  We need to eliminate the discrimination against people who live with brain disorders and help them get treatment early.

     I was never one for conspiracy theories unti this President - I don’t put anything past this administration!  I’ve already heard theories about the shooter being a vic of mind-control by Soros and his affiliates…..even heard that the Gifford shooting was part of the on-going plot to get guns away from American people.  When “they” heard all the backlash from us about gun control, “they” took steps with the UN to do an end-run around our Constitutional rights.

Most Record Checks are False when you are trying to purchase a Gun of any kind anymore. The State as with the TBI Unit in Tennessee makes up their own Records and Ideas of who can and who can’t purchase a Gun based on their Likes and Dislikes. They Records and what they claim comes from the FBI is a lie. I have what they claim about me they say came from the FBI Records. Yet the FBI says NOT SO, and the FBI Record where you send in your Finger Prints to receive a copy of your Record is far different than the Local State of TENN. Records and TBI’s Status Desk Monkeys in that unit say.

Amazing, my wife and I both have Tennessee Concealed Carry Permits. I have been cleared and have purchased Guns from Dealer’s in Stores. Yet I have also been turned down by the TBI Unit later and told the FBI said when they didn’t. I was also told I couldn’t purchase a 22cal. Rifle and a few days later, I received a letter from the TBI as the Dealer also did, saying I could purchase that Rifle (?) Then later I was turned down on purchasing a 20 ga. Shotgun (Now we live in the Country and Hills) and was told by some Desk TBI Status Monkey that they would NEVER Approve me again to Purchase a Gun of any kind and I should have never been approve to buy are been given a Carry Permit by the State Dept. of Safety. I mean I even worked undercover at one time for the FBI and have a Certificate from the Wichita, Ks. PD for helping them.

None of this Crap came about until OBAMA got into Office and I have wrote a number of things about him and this TBI Unit who does the Record Checks and in this State, Approves are Disapproves someone based on whatever a person behind a Desk in that Unit decides are likes and dislikes for you. I was/am a fan of Glenn Beck since his days at Fox, but I’ll admit it’s only in the past few weeks that I’ve come to this web site because I was beginning to feel like a “stranger in a strange land” in my own country, my own state, and in my own town. I’m glad I came. First, I am not a supporter of Barrack Obama, progressivism, or any system that is out to usurp my own thinking, principles and beliefs. I’m registered as an independent if for no other reason than unlike my Democratic friends and my Republican family, it was clear to me early on that whether you blindly follow an elephant or a jackass, you’ll end up walking through excrement.
 
I say those things first because in the one or two times I’ve left a comment, my sarcasm didn’t translate and I was tromped by the people I’ve come to view as the community of like-minded individuals that see where things have gone horribly wrong, and are determined to fix it. I’m replying to Snowleopard because on the emotional side of all this and in other stories on this site, when I’ve starting forming a comment in my mind, Snowleopard had already said it (thank you).
 
My point? Well, in reading through the comments, I share the outrage, but I don’t share the surprise. But even something about the outrage bothers me too. Yes, Obama treads on the Constitution like a doormat, and hides behind it when it suits his needs. Yes, he’s liar, and he thinks he’s slick, and yes he needs to be voted out of office. I also agree with Glenn Beck, in that the more he does this, the more he will fuel our determination to see things set right. This speech is a great example of that.
 
This speech was a desperate attempt to tap into the emotional energy of the Aurora tragedy, and to seize this opportunity to grab a little more power. Again, yes, it’s shameless and speaks directly to the character of the man. But here’s the point, it wasn’t a gaffe. He knew there would be outrage, and he knew WHO would be outraged. He doesn’t care. So my question is, why play his game? I don’t mean ignore him, I mean this.
 
When I heard about his speech, I attempted to call my Senators and Congressmen but since their switchboards were busy (funny how that happens every time Obama opens his mouth) I ended up writing to them as well as the current candidates running. NOT because Obama wants to take my gun, I didn’t even mention gun control, but I wanted to know why they were sitting by while Obama actively made them irrelevant. This is a constitutional issue but not just a second amendment issue. I asked what they felt their effectiveness would be if this continues, because even if they are party line supporters, irrelevant still means irrelevant.
 
I’ve listened to a lot of talk about all the faults about main stream media, and I last night I was even reminded by Bill O’Reilly why I don’t even watch Fox anymore. For them it’s no longer about accountability. People have made their point, the ratings are skydiving and still they go on. As I heard one person point out on Real News the other day, the mainstream media had become Entertainment Tonight, and she’s right. Let them, because even if (it won’t but even if) this all falls apart for the conservative movement they lose. History shows this. Look at Mao, look at Stalin, look at Hitler, and look at the Khomeini. After all the clear opposition is quelled, who did they turn on, ANYONE ELSE who held the public’s attention, starting with their most “loyal” supporters. This goes for Reid, Pelosi, Boehner, Napolitano, and Van Jones too. Obama’s “you didn’t build this” will apply to them too. The irony there is that they will have built that Avenue of Long Knives for him to use on them.
 
This Obama speech, by far, is not the scariest, most blatant betrayal of his oath this man has shown. (I mean just look at the DHS and what the Congressmen and Congresswomen who are exposing it’s derelictions are going through.) See, another thing I’ve learned from you all, and from Glenn Beck is that “turn the other cheek” can have several meanings (and before this I was never a turn the cheek kind of person). It’s not just about being forgiving, or being strong, or being compassionate.  One, is that is man has awakened, made stronger, or however you want to express it, a new commitment to this “great experiment” we call the United States. So for smaking me awake, I’d like to shake his hand, because while I’m shaking his hand, he can’t use it to smack me ever again.
 
Another way I’ve seen this. Well, for a long time I could not understand why, or how, he could continue to get away doing what he’s done to this country in three years. Congress, Republicans, SCOTUS, all just sat there and kept turning the other cheek. Yet, look what has happened. Each time he got away with it, EVERYBODY saw a little more or who he really was. True, there are those who saw that before he was even President, but now everybody has seen it, and the bolder he gets, the more he is revealed.
 
We all need to vent and venting with like minded people can be comforting and helpful. Still, isn’t doing it here a lot like preaching to the choir? Don’t play his game, or the media’s game, and don’t spend that life energy quibbling the character of president we all know is flawed; on issues he wants you to be angry over. I worry we’re all still chasing the bones of contention he wants us to chase. That he’s dictating our outrage and spending our energy. Use that energy your way, and in action. Point out to your Senators and Congressmen that we’re done chasing gaffes and bones. This isn’t about guns, or gay marriage, or birth control. I believe it is July 27th that Hillary Clinton will be signing
a gun control agreement with the United Nations.  The
first step is to not let any countries sell each other guns.
Is this the first step towards absolute gun control in every
country?  If so, why isn’t the “National Media” reporting
this?

I will never be able to understand how people can be so
blind that they think passing laws against illegal guns or illegal use of guns
will stop criminals from obtaining and using guns.  In fact, examine our
next door neighbor, Canada, and see what happened when they passed laws against
ownership of guns.  The level of crime rose significantly AFTER the laws
were passed and citizens turned in their guns by the tens of thousands!

When criminals know citizens MAY have guns, because the laws allow it, they
will be less anxious to break into their homes or assault them. On the other
hand, if they know citizens cannot have guns (legally), they will do whatever
they please, because THEY WILL STILL HAVE GUNS WITH LAWS FORBIDDING GUN
OWNERSHIP BEING ONLY AN INCONVENIENCE.  You see, criminals aren’t known
for their desire or tendency to obey the law, or they would not be criminals in
the first place.  They are criminals because they disregard the laws,
whether they be against gun ownership or against criminal actions such as
robbery, kidnapping, home occupations, and so forth.  I don’t know how
others feel, but I’m not convinced that a criminal is going to carry around a
handbook outlining all the laws for his location, making sure he doesn’t break
any laws when committing a crime!  Imagine how it would go:

Criminal 1: “I know that house over there has a lot of expensive stuff in
it, so let’s break in and steal as much as we can carry, OK?”
Criminal 2: “Yeah, I was thinking the same thing, but, we can’t do it,
because it is against the law, and it is illegal for us to use our guns as
well.”
Criminal 1: “I see what you mean.  We sure wouldn’t want to commit a
crime AND break the law at the same time.  That would be bad.  Maybe
we can find a liquor store to knock off somewhere where the law allows it;
maybe we can even use our guns.”
Criminal 2: “Well, there is not much hope in that. It seems like EVERY
city has laws against guns and robbery.  How are we going to accomplish
our crimes when they’re against the law?”
Criminal 1: “How I long for the old days, when we just robbed and killed
no matter what the law was. It seems like Congress just isn’t in touch with the
common man anymore!”
Criminal 2″ “Yeah, we should have elected that other guy….”

Well, I guess I won’t try to write that great American novel I was thinking of,
if I can’t write a conversation more interesting than this one.  But, as
stupid and ridiculous as it sounds, it is exactly the conversation that derives
from the attitudes many Americans have about gun control laws, and the
conversation that many Americans must believe would happen, because of gun
control laws.  They believe such laws will end crime, and that criminals
only get guns through legal channels.  Some do, of course, but only for
convenience.  I have stood on a corner and watched guys purchase a gun for
a few hundred dollars, from the local dealer, and trust me, there was no
“background check” (except to check around to make sure no cops were
around), no research into criminal backgrounds, except that a criminal background
may get you a discount.  And this corner was in UTAH, of all places! 
I can’t imagine what it is like in Chicago or D.C. or L.A. or other hot spots
of violence and crime.   I will have to do more research into the
explanations and justifications gun control advocates use to try to persuade
voters to vote such laws into being, but I expect them to be very sophisticated
(using the ancient meaning of “sophisticated”, derived from
“sophistry”) and to have little to do with logic, truth or common
sense.  Those three things, among others, will defeat a law almost every
time, if the law shouldn’t be passed.

As you can tell, I am not very passionate about this, right?  NOT! 
This is one issue which is pivotal for the continued existence of a principle
which America has stood for, and needs to continue to stand for, if we are to
remain free.  It’s not that the guns themselves can stop a determined
military from attacking us – they would probably have much bigger and many more
guns.  It is that the principle of the Constitutional Amendment which
gives us the right to bear arms (I won’t tell you; you’ve got to look it up!)
carries over into so many other areas.

Well, I have to stop now, or I won’t be able to get this response accepted by
the system (if you can’t read this remark, it means the system wouldn’t let me
upload my entire message, but terminated it at whatever limit it sets. 
And if you don’t “get” this, you may have a future as Criminal 1 or

Here’s another part of the big lie presented by the left: the Constitution provides for Americans to have guns so they can hunt or target practice, for the “sport” of shooting. That is most definitely not why the Constitution guarantees us the right to bears arms.

    I totally agree with you Michael.  I’ve been telling my Senators, Representatie and Boehner to stand up and act like leaders for over a year now – warning that O is making them more irrelevant each day!  I’ve watched over the months as O has become bolder and bolder at our expense – dithering away our freedoms while Congress and the Senate twiddle their thumbs.  You andI are not alone.  But a lot of people haven’t come to that conclusion yet.
     So many people these days are so deeply entrenched in the day-to-day details of making a living – feeding the family – staying safe – and trying to do what they HAVE to do, that they just don’t take enough time to think things through.  It just hasn’t all come together fort them yet. They are still trying to make sense of a “world gone wild” – and can’t.  They know that right hand is doing something, but they can’t see it clearly because they are so busy watching the left hand.  The progressives are in full tilt mode and are still fooling a lot of people.  They’re hammering away from as many directions as possible and as fast and furiously (sorry….) as they can!

Snowleopard, your comments remind us of how President Obama acts unilaterally to achieve his political goals like some kind of two bit dictator.  His disdain for our Constitution rings loud and clear.  I am very troubled about how Obama’s violence against the Constitution is impacting the psychology of the people.  I am 59.  In all my years, I have never seen so many people angry towards this Administration and Congress. They are angry because their Republic, their Constitution, is being violated.  In my discussions, people often lament the death of the principal of separate but equal branches of government.  No one, including me, can understand why it is that Congress has not Impeached Obama.  No one understands why the Attorney General has not been arrested for his crimes in Fast and Furious.  Adherents to the Constitution are deeply troubled how this President, or any president, can initiate military action without Congressional approval.   It’s no wonder that weapon and ammunition sales are skyrocketing.  Obama’s propagation of class warfare only exacerbates America’s concerns and perceptions of a treasonous Federal Government.  However, more questions remain.

Will our military side with the people or a treasonous Federal Government should the people march on Washington.  Or, will they spare us the trouble and arrest the usurper in the White House for treason.  Sometimes, I pray to the Lord and ask him to explain to me why it is that I have to live through this period in our history.  A history in the making that may see the blood of patriots once again spilling in our streets and our fields.

The government is so far reaching since the middle of the last century that the notion of overtaking the nation by the people isn’t realistic any more. The US Gov’t allies would come in and assist in putting down a rebellion.  Militias have been made out as loony clubs and people are so comfortable in their lives that nobody is going to take a chance. If there were genuine people of resolve it could be taken back in less than a century, but I don’t see that many people with that sort of personal strength, nor would I trust someone who said they did.

Obama hates the constitution, because it declares that he can’t do whatever he pleases.  It disgusts me that there are Americans who just do not get it when he talks about going around the constitution like this. Imagine if Bush had ever talked about taking unilateral action because it’s “not easy” getting things pushed through Congress.  Democrats would be talking about impeachment.  When Obama does it, you can hear the crickets chirping…

Every time we see a case of mass murder like this, the gun control crowd hit the airwaves, it seems before the smoke clears. It is as if it would somehow be better or the victims less dead if those that commit these terrible acts would use a bomb or poison gas or simply drive their car through a crowd. Murder is murder and dead is dead. What tool they use does not matter, one could take a ordinary hammer and kill as many. Why can’t they just put the blame were it belongs, with the person who commits these terrible things. Using their logic Babe Ruth did not hit all those home runs his bat did. It’s just sad and I pray for all the victims and their families.

Basically, what it comes down to is that if law-abiding people are disarmed, then two things will happen – 1) Gun crimes will skyrocket because the only ones who have guns will be criminals. Ordinary people will be defenseless. This will result in higher need for the government to intervene on behalf of the defenseless, thus increasing governmental incursion in every aspect of our lives and (2) Disarmament of law abiding citizens decreases governmental fear of popular retaliation against suspension of civil and constitutional rights. Obama is a great believer in the Chicago solution proposed by Rahm Emmanuel. Never let a crisis go to waste. Obama has little more than disdain for the Constitution. Crises give him an extra couple of spaces on the board to jump ahead of those pesky civil rights “freaks” so he can do Congress’s and the Supreme Court’s jobs for them since they obviously “can’t come together to do what’s right”. I wonder if it matters to any of the Democrats and liberal leaning Republicans that if just one person had been carrying a gun and used it there would be many fewer dead.  Mr. Holmes stayed in the theater for over 15 minutes, blasting away without opposition, murdering and wounding without fear of losing his life. The fact that the guy immediately gave up when challenged by police shows the fear he has of death. Even if it were a crazed terrorist unafraid to die and clothed in body armor, it is very hard to react when bullets are flying at you. Yet, what is the solution the president comes up with? Declare martial law and suspend gun rights. Gee, why didn’t I think of that? See the problem with this situation is the law abiding citizen and the inanimate gun…NOT the criminal. We should just have made it impossible for a criminal to legally buy a gun. Here’s the problem. The guy had no record. He wasn’t a criminal at the time he bought the gun. If he hadn’t been able to buy the gun legally, what would have stopped him from buying it illegally? Obama’s actions in this case have absolutely nothing to do with him caring one whit about the citizens of the country. If he did, his actions would reflect the knowledge that legally citizens are more accurate at deciding when to pull a gun, when to shoot and how to shoot without further endangering other people than are the police. Generally, if a police officer pulls a gun, the situation has already devolved and believe it or not, police officers rarely have much more training than the average citizen and often, less time on the range. Many CCW laws require training by citizens to carry guns. I happen to have memberships at one of the world’s foremost gun training facilities, FrontSight, in Nevada. There are also lots of videos of what happens when there’s not. I am not affiliated with FrontSight in any way. But I carry a gun everywhere. I have had to pull the gun to stop crimes that were about to occur to my family. I grew up in Montana and was trained how and when to use a gun from the time I was three. Armed citizens are NOT the problem, Mr. President, we are the solution.

On Fox news the other day a Doc, I will not mention his name, was saying that it is a genetic switch that gets turned on at or near 18 years of age as the result of stress or genes. REALLY?!  Where is your commons sense!   Now, I will step up to my soap box!  Columbine, the student was on LOVUX, Virginia Tech, student was on antidepressant medication,  ABC news reported stated that the shooter in Colorado was on pharmaceuticals, such as Vicodin. and I could go on.  But the news media is instead saying things like, it was a child with a history, a child who his parents could not take care of them and was given to the grand parents, or the best yet he was adopted and we do not know his mental history.  They are painting a picture and we are believing with out questions.  Years ago if a child was not behaving properly, couldn’t listen, give the parents grief the parents were sent home with instructions to increase grass fed butter and grass fed beef along with fresh caught fish for a month and a return visit.  Remember Cod liver oil anyone one? Because one of the many things it does is calcify the pineal gland.  Which is our direct connection to our heavenly father.  We love with our heart but the pineal gland is the highway to heaven.  If this road way is blocked our faith is at stake.  You can decalcify the pineal gland with good fats, are you surprised?  The brain is after all made up of fats.  Good fats create good cholesterol which makes happy hormones and balanced minds.  

We need to start to question and look at history not only for what our forefathers would do but what was our health like.  Years ago when GMO foods and pesticides where not used and when we new what the soil needed to grow healthy foods.  We could eat and sustain on.  Our families where healthy and strong.  Our children are not deficient in some new antidepressant, or some newest latest vaccine.  They are deficient in healthy grown foods, saturate fats from animals grazing on grass and wild caught fish.  Vegetables grown in healthy soils without pesticides.

If you cannot eat this way at least get the fermented oils, like cod liver and butter fat via vitamins, and cook with raw coconut oil.  They are out there and this is how our ancestors stayed healthy.  Just think of the children we could be bringing up by adding in healthy foods!  A huge difference.  I see it everyday the improvements that give you back hope.  If the Russians felt it was important to get a few American kids on their side as the in the Russian spy ring.  Why cannot we make the same investment in our children?  I will lead the fight, join me and lets raise some good strong healthy minded children who know values and morals and can in hard times make the right choices.

The question I have for you today is this:

     Could the government make the argument that the Internet is the “assault-rifle of Free Speech” ?  

The arguments are strikingly similar.

Argument #1:  2nd Amendment is only for trained “militias” therefore
guns don’t belong in everyday citizens hands.  It’s okay for military,
police and other trained federal agents to have guns but not your
average citizen.

Argument #2:  The Founding Fathers never saw the day when one gun could
shoot 20 rounds a second and be reloaded in less than 2 seconds. 
Clearly such guns should be kept out of everyday citizens hands as they
are too dangerous and could fall into the wrong hands.

Let’s look at these arguments and apply them to the 1st Amendment and the Internet.

Argument #1:  Freedom of the “press” was clearly meant only for “trained
press agents”  and not for “everyday citizens”.  Clearly the Internet
gives too much power to untrained “press agents” who have no education
in how to properly disseminate “truth to the masses” in a way that keeps
them from rioting or voting in ways that are not in their basic self
interest.

Argument #2:  The Founding Fathers never saw the day when 1
letter/video/web-site could be viewed by millions of people in less than
a second.  Clearly they would never have given an individual this
immense power to inform the masses as such communications could inflict
countless losses (at the voting booth) and cause serious harm to the
people (who want such information to remain secret).  Oh the humanity!

I think when you see things in this light, you understand better why

If you cannot eat this way at least get the fermented oils, like cod liver and butter fat via vitamins, and cook with raw coconut oil.  They are out there and this is how our ancestors stayed healthy.  Just think of the children we could be bringing up by adding in healthy foods!  A huge difference.  I see it everyday the improvements that give you back hope.  If the Russians felt it was important to get a few American kids on their side as the in the Russian spy ring.  Why cannot we make the same investment in our children?  I will lead the fight, join me and lets raise some good strong healthy minded children who know values and morals and can in hard times make the right choices.

Which would be more preferable during a foreign invasion? A U.N. treaty, wait for who knows how long for the military, or a more powerful weapon than the enemy?

Again, Obama is excellent at telling people what they want to hear and spinning the truth into a lie. He is a master manipulator that uses words to sway the masses. There have been those throughout history that used the spoken and/or written words to manipulate and sway the opinions of others. This is why democracy is such a dangerous weapon in the hands of people like Obama. Democracy is the rule of the majority rather than of law. People who are hurting can be manipulated by someone as skilled as our politicians are today. Look at the current Supreme Court, the Congress of the United States, and the President of the United States. Common sense is completely ignored. We would not be in the mess we are in today on gun-control were it not for panic legislation that occurs following a national tragedy. Remember the outcry and subsequent legislation that came about as a result of President Kennedy’s assassination. The gun control legislation, that had been in the works for years, was finaly passed. Remember, when President was shot, the panic legislation passed the Brady Bill.

I support taking guns out of the hands of potential criminals and terrorists, but the fact is, that you are never going to be able to do that. Unscrupulous people will find a way to buy and sell guns. Perhaps the present Attorney General should have made this stand before “Fast and Furious.” If he had, hundreds, if not thousands of guns, would not be in the hands of the drug cartels.Again, it is a two faced administration that says it’s okay for us to do it, but not okay for you to do it.

If the Muslim brotherhood infiltrates as I believe they hope to do, they will certainly have guns and probably AK-47s.  Cars kill more people than guns do.  Does that mean that we should all give up our cars?

I can’t help but think that the Muslim brotherhood knows what Al Quaeda is doing and they are all out for their jihad to kill the people in the United States whom they deem unrighteous.  There are Al Quaeda cells all over our country where people are being trained in terrorist activity.  How are we supposed to protect ourselves if these people decide to attack us?  I’ve heard it said that people in England and other countries who are not allowed to bear arms, have told us not to give up our right to bear arms because once we do, it will be easy to take over our country since we have nothing to fight back with. The Muslim people who have never tried to get to know the people in this country may think we are a lot of infidels.  If they got to know the people here better, they would find that there are good and bad like every other group of people in the world and that most of us want to make a comfortable living and raise our families to be good people just like they do; we are not so different.  I think that maybe the Muslim Brotherhood/Sisterhood would not have gotten so upset with Ms. Bachmann’s suggestion about going through a security check if there wasn’t a little guilt there, or something a little shady.  It is human nature to get upset at something when we aren’t doing what we are supposed to.  Also cars kill more people in automobile accidents and with drunk drivers than any situations with guns.  Does that make it right that we all give up our cars?  A good number of people in this country grew up with guns in the house, but that didn’t mean that we all used them to hurt or kill anyone.  Obama can use these killing incidents to further his efforts for gun control.  It plays right into his hands.  Mitt Romney told Piers Morgan in an interview the other night, that it would be foolish to try to recall 300,000,000 guns in this country.  It would be a far better thing to help search out the people who are stressed and mentally in dispair and help them so that they don’t have to feel they need to resort to killing a lot of people.  So much of the extreme behavior comes back to people being bullied until they can’t take it anymore.  It is still the best policy ever, to treat other people the way you want to be treated.
