Ted Cruz wins Texas Senate Seat

The Associated Press has called the race for Cruz, with Houston Chronicle reporting:

Texas’ drift toward the Tea Party brand of GOP conservatism continued Tuesday when lawyer Ted Cruzscored a surprisingly easy win over David Dewhurst in the Republican primary runoff for the U.S. Senate seat being vacated by Kay Bailey Hutchison.

Cruz once was considered a long shot to take down well-heeled Lt. Gov. David Dewhurst – the favorite of the party establishment and Hutchison’s heir apparent. But he steadily gained in the polls during their bare-knuckles campaign brawl, and his lead opened up as soon as the earliest returns were posted. By 8:30 p.m.the Associated Press had named Cruz the winner.

Earlier in the night, FreedomWorks Executive Vice President Adam Brandon joined Glenn on GBTV to discuss the election:

    Well done tea baggers…
I love watching you rip apart your own party and send another fake to run in the general election…
Don’t fret becklings…if he wins, he will probably hold out for two or three hours before becoming another mainstream Republican bitch who tows the party line!!!

Be gone with you TROLL! TEA Party is not a party but a platform of ideas. ANY OTHER PARTY can also be TEA PARTY if they would wise-up and get back to small government non-waste ideas. The best option is NO PARTY as parties just produce drones and zombies following blindly.

A homerun for Texas. Texas is a country. We just haven’t woken up to it yet.

When Obama wins re-election in 2012, let’s please admit that the demographics are permanently shifting against the GOP and soon we might see even the solid South become part democrat. There is no option but to declare independence. Romney is a band-aid at best.

The truth is a huge bailout is coming and already partially underway for the bankrupt liberal cities and states. Texans will have to pay for California soon, though I fear it will be done covertly to avoid raising our consciousness.

Listening to the radio and hearing them slam Dewhurst even more.  This whole election has been shameful on both sides.  It has really opened my eyes to how nasty my own conservatives can be.  I will support Ted because we need to, but the bashing has got to stop.

He served Chic-Fil-A afterwards. I think I like that guy.

We need to get more people like Ted Cruz in office before people like them are killed just because they announced they were running for office…

When I was in Jamaica in the early 90′s, there were 7-10 political murders a Day, every day I was there for just over Three Weeks (oh, did I forget to mention that was in their Capital City Only!).  Not many people people ran for office after the several hundred were murdered…  This is where we are heading without changing back to the “Vision of America” Our Fore Fathers Envisioned…

    So, genius…
If they are not a party, why do they refer to themselves as members of the Tea Party?
    and please,
Don’t bring up the tax revolution before the Revolutionary War!
