Wow, congratulations Glenn, I know it is now in good hands…I can just see it framed in your office….We needed to be reminded that even though America is going through some tough times, we can not stop dreaming…You remind me to continue on with my dream..it is scary, but I also know that it will be ok, no matter what.

I have a selfish suggestion for the Disney drawing. Have prints made and offer them to the public for sale. If you don’t like profit do a charity offering.
Selfish reason. Man! I’d be first in line if I could afford it!

Since it is a slow day on the site, I would like to tell a story which I hope can be told in 2 parts.  This story may be true or not true (disclaimer).  You decide.  It involves a freelance consultant to consulting firms, whose name is Oh let’s see lets call him landofaahs for sh-ts and grins. This particular event is known as “A GEM OF A STORY INVOLVING ELVIS”.

The story begins with a man who is concerned about his govt not just attacking his large income, but actually fears that his accumulated wealth will also be attacked one day.  He decides that he needs to expatriate some of his already accumulated wealth to a couple of other countries in order to protect himself in the future.  He does not want this wealth traceable by any potential thieves of govt. so he hires a consultant. In steps landofaahs who listens to his particular situation including amount of wealth, country to be transferred to etc.
After careful consideration land of aahs determines that the best way to transfer this wealth is to hire a gemologist/jeweler of reputation extraordinaire to purchase gems to be transported to their new home of safety.  It is at this point where it is decided how to incremetally transfer these gems to a safe foreign location.  How is this to be done? —– In steps ELVIS.  To be continued in Part 2 which will be posted in a couple of days..Now understand I am not saying this story is true or not true.  I hope though that this gives you something to think about.

Incredible?  What is really incredible is that God will bless you in ways unforseen.  A 10% giver is a minimal giver, but there is nothing wrong with that.  I believe that for those who can afford it that 18% is a starting point.  I once threw out all the %’s and gave without consideration and the Lord flooded me with his blessings that I could not imagine.  This was not just money but it flooded each part of my life from family relatiions to health and peace, you name it.
If we give as God has given to us, from the heart without %’s, he may not make us richer in dollars but he may in fact make us richer in  satisfaction, contentment, peace and every manner that really makes up the wealth of the human experience.   I can truly say that no man has ever been blessed as i have been, and I thank my Lord for it.  What an awesome God we Christians serve.  What could ever take his place? Nothing.

I had my high school prom dance at Disneyland in 1955-56…one of the first proms they had there.  That was back when they sold booklets of tickets, and the best rides were the “E” tickets.  They had billboards all around So. Calif. reading, “HAPPINESS IS AN ‘E-TICKET’!”  I later worked there during summer while attending college.  Growing up there with Disneyland and Knotts Berry Farm in your backyard was pure heaven.  Now, I visit and can’t wait to leave.  Glenn, you have a marvelous piece of history.  Congratulations.
