Did Romney’s speech seal the deal?

Get Glenn Live! On TheBlaze TV

Romney’s speech last night wasn’t the most electric, entertaining, or engaging political speech ever given. It may not have been the most quotable or memorable speech of all time – but it did demonstrate that Mitt Romney has a fundamental understanding of the things that make America great and the solutions that can restore America’s greatness after four years of fundamental transformation and decades of progressivism.

There were three key lines in Mitt Romney’s speech that Glenn wanted listeners to hear.

First, there was the section where he talked about his parents and how they were partners:

Mom and Dad were married 64 years. And if you wondered what their secret was, you could have asked the local florist – because every day Dad gave Mom a rose, which he put on her bedside table. That’s how she found out what happened on the day my father died – she went looking for him because that morning, there was no rose.

My mom and dad were true partners, a life lesson that shaped me by everyday example. When my mom ran for the Senate, my dad was there for her every step of the way. I can still hear her saying in her beautiful voice, “Why should women have any less say than men, about the great decisions facing our nation?”

Then there was a section where he talked about how he left Michigan to try and make a name for himself outside of his father’s shadow. And while those were tough times trying to raise a family while working long hours everyday, Mitt Romney said he and his wife would give anything to have days like that with family again:

I grew up in Detroit in love with cars and wanted to be a car guy, like my dad. But by the time I was out of school, I realized that I had to go out on my own, that if I stayed around Michigan in the same business, I’d never really know if I was getting a break because of my dad. I wanted to go someplace new and prove myself.

Those weren’t the easiest of days – too many long hours and weekends working, five young sons who seemed to have this need to re-enact a different world war every night. But if you ask Ann and I what we’d give, to break up just one more fight between the boys, or wake up in the morning and discover a pile of kids asleep in our room. Well, every mom and dad knows the answer to that.

And finally there was this comment, the first part of which sounded like a joke but in the speech he ended on a much more casual and earnest tone:

President Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans and heal the planet. MY promise…is to help you and your family.

Glenn explained that in the speech, Romney is showing a stark contrast between himself and President Obama. While Obama has promised to heal the Earth, among other impossibly huge promises, Romney just wants to help your family.

“People are going to promise you all kinds of things.  We have been living in a world – and this is not just about Barack Obama I’m using him as an example. This is the way that the entire world is.  Greek columns and smoke and lights and loud music and fireworks.  They’re going to promise you everything and they’re going to tell you that all of these lights and fireworks happen.  Wait until you see the fireworks and lights,” Glenn explained.

“‘I’m telling you it’s not about the fireworks.  I’m telling you that only in the end will you see that the marching bands and the fireworks were there.  Even though you might say I didn’t see.  Where was it? It’s when the kids came running in and jumped on the bed.  It happens every single day in small but powerfully significant ways.”

Glenn said that Romney was telling the American people that he understands a good partnership and the importance of family. And while Obama may promise to heal the world, Romney knows that what really matters are the small moments that happen between individuals everyday. Romney’s promise is to just make life a little easier for families, and he wants to help because he knows how important those relationships are. The real solutions to restoring America are found at home, not in the big, empty promises of big government.

“They tell you they tell you that these problems are so big you’ll never understand them.  You need experts.  No you don’t.  The problems are huge because we’ve refused to look at the real solution.  The solution is small.  It is simple.  It’s live within your means.  It’s pay your bills.  It’s be honest.  Be good to each other.  Do what you’re supposed to do,” Glenn said.

“It’s the small things that make a difference.  It’s the good things that made us great.”

What angers the left the most is that there is no scandal.  He’s a rich guy who does not go out and get wasted in order to feel alive.  He has not descended into debauchery and most likely neither has his family.  The left can’t stand that.  Now I know that the Romney’s have their own problems and struggles as does everyone. But the left will attempt to tear down anyone they disagree with.  Just like the press has done to Tebow.  They are relishing the day they can corrupt him and see him fall.  It’s the only thing the left has besides drugs etc. to make themselves feel good.  Keep p-ssing them off folks.  Rise above the trash below, it’s the best way to get back at them.

What Mitt is trying to say in my opinion is that if the govt. gets out of the way of capitalism and not crony-capitalism, the economy will turn around in less than a year.  People want to grow this country but they are afraid of obama and the democrats because the democrats attack and blame them and want to punbish them.
Let true capitalism come back and we will have ups and downs but things will always get recover from setback.  The obama-communism only has a continual downside.

President Obama promised to begin to slow the rise of the oceans and heal the planet. MY promise…is to help you and your family.

Thus said Romney last night; the promise to help the family by getting the govenrment off of our collective backs, to let people have the chance to prosper and seek to pursue their dreams as they desire to the best of their abilities.

Romney clinched the deal with that sentence; for in it is the true strength of America:

    THE FAMILY.

  • http://www.artinphoenix.com/gallery/grimm snowleopard (cat folk gallery)

Landofaahs – understand one part with Romney and the left; it is not that the left is angered by him…THEY ARE TERRIFIED OF HIM.

He is the true anti-type of the Democrats, Socialists, Communists and Progressives.

    He is a successful businessman
    He is a successful familyman
    He is scandle free
He is a God fearing man.
He is a man of integrity
    He has a plan
    He has a vision
He has called on Americas FAMILIES to join in the American Dream again.

He is everything they say is impossible to be; thus with Romney, the man who is needed for this time and means; is the anti-type of the Democrats, their worst of nightmares personified.

They know the truth of him, and that they cannot defeat him.

Mitt Romney moved me last night.  It was not an act.  He is a good man, who loves his family, his country, and God.  Go Mitt !!!

I don’t care for Romney, but I’ll vote for him because he is the lesser of two evils.

  • Anonymous

I began, in the primaries, by simply being “Anybody but Obama” and Romney was not my favorite. I thought him stiff and like a “Ken Doll”
    Boy, has my opinion changed!
I find Mitt incredibly moving , his eyes shine when he looks at Ann and Paul Ryan, just to name two of the most obvious. Obama’s eyes are dead and that rictus grin frightens me.
Mitt makes me feel optomistic and safe and like someone  whose heart is in the right place…..is in charge…just look at who made it to Louisiana this morning.

    Yes, Mitt sealed the deal!

Seriously, after last night, you don’t care for him? What in the world would you like better than a prayerful, humble, intelliget, Obamacare repealing, constitution and vetran loving and dedicated man leading this country? I’d sure like to know!

I have been a Ron Paul supporter for many years and still am. However, Mitt Romney has earned my support and my vote. I believe that he is absolutely the best choice we have available to us and I want him to succeed.

And I would love to see him make Ron Paul the Secretary of the Treasury. Now THAT would be sweet!

How can you possibly watch that convention and think Romney is evil?  Something is wrong with you.

  • Anonymous

Eileen….What is evil about Romney and please be specific? Is it the fact that he loves his God,. family and country? Is it that he wants to help restore the values that have made America great since its inception?  Is it his desire to help get our economy moving again and not apologize for the this country around the world?

Trotting out the old bromide “he is the lesser of two evils” lacks any kind of thought.

  • Anonymous

The best Christmas gift you can give to yourself, your children and grandchildren is to vote for Romney/Ryan and get BO out of the WH.

I dont think that it is between the lesser of 2 evils. We have seen time and time again that BO lies over and over again and he doesnt care that you and I know. This is dangerous, because when someone is like that and he wins another term, what do you think he will do? Think for a moment as to what he will do. How many executive orders has he carried out with the mere stroke of his pen without as much consideration for we, the People, his employers? Yet he wants to take his time to consider the Keystone pipe line. Does it make sense to you?  BO wants to break this country and if you give him another term, the next generation can say bye bye to a bright future!!!

For you undeciders who are contemplating voting for BO, ask yourselves, why did you, why did your parents or grandparents left their homeland to come to America? To make a better life for them and you, where if you work hard you may do very well for yourselves.

To vote for BO would be to undo everything all of us who have left our homeland to come to the the free world

Mr Eastwood put it so eloquently, if someone dont perform, you need to let them go, and yes, it includes the POTUS. If you undecided are worried for BO and his family, dont be cos he and his family will have a bright future despite being voted out of office. You need to worry about your future and your families if BO is not “let go”, there wont be a future for any of us!!!

My iritation was with CNN and other TV stations who while people were speaking, especially the ones that were on that were explaining their experience with Romney as a private person.
The news people sat there and argued and debated between themselves and did not let us at home hear these people. I wanted to here the presenters not the idiot Democratic news people pick Romney apart.

Romney was criticized for telling the truth while on his trip to Europe.  He wrote his own speech, one that wasn’t filled with platitudes and empty promises.  In other words, Romney isn’t a career politician.  He’s real.  After three and a half years of the ultimate phony in the White House I’m looking forward to a change.  A REAL change!

Oh dear Glenn. You are so willingly naive, you are dangerous. The problem with this guy is not his lack of family values, but that he puts HIS family’s inflated well being before those of the families of minorities, marginalized communities and everyone who doesn’t buy the RNC hypocrisy. And by the way, your new-found bromance for Mitt the twit is creeeeeeeepy.

I watched the whole thing and I am glad that it wasn’t a great speech because we have had enough of the great speeches.  What we needed was what we got, a good speech from the heart of a good man.  He means what he says and I believe him and so does my family.  It’s time to start being real and talking straight skinny.  I believe that he won’t blow smoke up my skirt. And yes, right now my family just wants to be able to take a deep breath and relax with one another again and not be worrying every minute that we might lose our house, our car or that my son won’t have a decent job to take care of himself when he gets out of college.  Vote for Mitt and Paul. Get your independent, democratic, left minded friends to vote for them as well.  God Bless Mitt and Paul.

In defense of Eileen – THIS IS JUST A PHRASE to describe someone who is ambivalent about the choice before them. I’m sure she’s not saying Romney is evil. He clearly isn’t. Obama, however . . . hmmmm; I’d say what he is, in effect, proposing – collectivism, central control, redistribution of wealth, picking winners and losers – IS evil. I honestly think he doesn’t realize this, although he should if he’s the intellectual we’ve been led to believe. All he has to do is read the history books about systems (Nazism, Communism, Maoism) that promised the earth to believers but, in the end, condemned them to live under totalitarian regimes.

Glenn!  It is finally time that you can start to show unequivocal support for Mitt.  I know that for many days; during the primaries that you had to show some weird unbiased support for one of the other candidates and say that Mitt wasn’t your guy.  I understand that down deep you always wanted Mitt, but couldn’t say it . . . because you are both Mormons.  I know that you know that telling your listening fans that a true Man of God and a holder of the Priesthood would alienate some of your listeners.  I know that.  I understand it.  But now!  Now it will be OK if you say that what Mitt says is the greatest things that you have ever heard.  You can now say that you believe every word he says.  I think that you should also tell your listeners that this election isn’t in the bag.  Cause we need every vote.  If the conservatives stay home, or if the Republicans stay home then we loose.  But please, I don’t think your listers will mind if you start saying that you suddenly had an epiphany and that you now support Mitt with all your heart.  P.S. what Mitt said last night WAS the greatest nomination speech I have ever heard.

I am tired of everyone wanting a Hollywood high powered orator to be our President! What good has it done us the last 4 years. Obama won everyone over by his fancy speeches of “Hope and Change”.  What did he actually do?  Nothing but get us further in trouble.  We need a humble man who knows what to do in that office, not just run around taking trips, playing golf.  Mitt says he will spend 14 yours a day working for us.  I would rather have that any day.  If you have ever been a business man, you know it is not glamorous – it is just a grind of work and that is what it will take to get our country turned around and becoming a successful business again. After all that’s what the economy is, a business!!!  It is all our business and we need a great business leader to get us out of the red and back into the black!!!! Mitt gave a great speech last night.  If you didn’t hear that, you were listening for Hollywood again and he won’t be on until next week!!!!

Anyone can say anything about themselves and try to make us believe it. But when a man has lived by example and had many speak on his behalf as a man of character and integrity, you can’t deny his true intentions. I had my doubts before about Mitt Romney. But I don’t have any doubts now. He truly has the best interests of this country in mind, the ability to accomplish the change he talks about and the trust that he will try to accomplish exactly what he said he would.

Saw his speech last night – first time I’ve watched ANY political convention, and I’ve been watching this one off and on since the start. They’re actually not bad!
As far as Mr Romney’s acceptance and what he said, it was somewhat different but I didn’t hear anything earth shattering. To be objective, I don’t know if Mr Romney is the answer and I’m pretty sure he can’t cure cancer or solve world hunger, but I just cannot stomach another term with the Food Stamp in Chief.
Even if he won and did nothing but just stop what Obama has done, it would be a huge difference for the better.
The issue is whether or not he, along with Washington on the Hill, CAN be different.
It’s always easy to talk and debate and make promises and give speeches, however, when one finally gets into the position, reality hits and they realize it’s not so easy to undo decades of policy and political underhandedness. Anyone that pays attention and cares about the current issues in America might have an idea how to fix things, doing it is a different world altogether…..
Good luck sir – you have my support.

You did not watch the whole convention. Mitt Romney has served his community all his life. This is one of the most giving man I have every seen. Most rich people give a lot of money to charity and Mitt has given more than his share but what is so impressive about Mitt is that he gives his own time into helping people without the talk or the need for accolades. Also Mitt is a successful man. That is who he is. That is what he does. That is his nature. He will succeed as president.

The entire evening was amazing. Clint, Marco and yes, Romney all hit home runs. I feel much better after these three days. Someone from the O admins. Was asked about something and their response was “we are not letting factcheck get in our way of our mission”. Or something to that effect. In other words, everything we thought is true…..they are nothing but liars and deceivers!

I was totally inspired by Mitt’s acceptance speech!  For the first time in 4 years I feel hopeful about my country again…..hopeful that maybe I can go ahead and retire before long without having to worry about “outliving” my retirement savings.  I believe he is an honest and honorable man who will do his very best to correct many of the wrongs in DC.  GO ROMNEY/RYAN!!!!

  • http://twitter.com/JBKonya104 Joyce Foster-Konya

I think Romney’s speech was great….but I was waiting for so much more.  He was connecting with the people better. But, he didn’t hit on Spending cuts, Corruption, CZAR’s….things that have been huge concerns to the American people.  We don’t know what his plans are for turning around this Country….beyond the Job Crisis.  I think they could have added another 10-15 minutes to his speech.

  • new2la

I totally agree…..after hearing so many come to bat for this man, I am OK now. Come to think about it , who spoke up about Obama’s character prior to being elected except to say he gave a good speech in 2008? No one!

The primaries are over and a choice was made. It’s time conservatives pull together. It’s necessary, no imperative for those that love this country. An alternative vote will be a vote for BO. No vote is a vote for BO. Romney and Ryan are good men, that will at least try to do what’s right for all citizen’s. We need now to stop listening to negative propaganda designed to sway people from voting for them.

Romney is going to help American families because he has been doing that his entire life! When you see HIS PAST RECORD you can see Romney ALWAYS helps people and their families. When we look at Obamas record we see him trying to punish the producers with taxes and any way he can to separate money from those that are working for it.Community Organizers work IS figuring out how to take money from those that have to give to them and those that have not!!!

I loved Mitt’s speech.  There are many great comments from the speech that will follow us for years, but I would like to make note of the statement Mitt made about Obama promising to lower the ocean water and heal the earth, while Mitt promises to work/serve the people.

I cannot help but see this as a reference to Obama’s “god” complex (strange because Soros also speaks of his god complex).  Only God can lower the ocean water or heal the earth…However, God sends surrendered believers with caring hearts to work and serve others in the way of servant leaders.

Mitt is a servant leader and a man we can trust!

I was impressed with the entire convention.  It was well done, believable, and orcastrated in such a way that each speaker layed the groundwork for the next culmenating in the  final delivery of what Mitt would do.

I think Mitt offers something that the citizens of the US have not had for quite some time – trust – belief in ourselves – belief in the American way – and a feeling of security of knowing who we are and what we stand for that has been desperately absent for the bast three plus years.

  • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_VW7QPPVZHHLCSYD6ZXRDUYT32I LockNLoad

I’d also like to add – Condi’s speech was one of the better ones I heard, and Paul Ryan seems to be a very good choice for VP…

  • Anonymous

While Mitt’s speech may not have been the scathing indictment of the president that many Republicans were looking for, I tried to view it through the eyes of the independent, undecided voter.  What I saw was Mitt laying out a stark choice for the direction of America; more jobs, more independence, more choice vs. bigger government, more regulations and stmied growth.  While I did not vote for Obama and have never been taken in by his grandiose talk, I believe Mitt made a compelling argument for anyone who still shares the values upon which America was founded, regardless of party.

Cuts are coming. Bill Ayres, George Soros and Obama are not going away even if Romney wins. Romney should call the nation to listen to the better angels of their mind. We the people voted for and are responsible for the representatives who put us in such debt. It will be difficult, but we can do it – but only with the help of a majority of the American people!

However, nothing good will happen and none of the freedoms and prosperity we hope for will occur if we don’t first seek the kingdom of God and His righteousness.

Americans have prospered from God but have committed two sins. We have forsaken God, the fountain of living water, and have dug cisterns
    that can hold no water.

Our past decisions have changed our historically glory for that which
has no chance of success. It’s up to us to change.

I believe that a speech like last night’s will not seal a deal. On the other hand it defines the person and how much we can rely on what he says at any time.
Barack Obama’s 2008 campaign speeches and those since then are glamorous and are driven to capture the mind of the audience. They have not been followed by real and genuine actions to substantiate the words.
The more we hear Romney the more we believe him. There is this genuineness about him. His life experience has already established he is a problem solver and he is humane.

For the first time since Obama took office, the GOP speakers last night, were offering the most hope I have had.  It was refreshing to hear each person speak and it was clear they spoke with truth and from their hearts.  As a country, we are in a horrible economic mess.  Blame does not create positive outcomes.  Obama has clearly failed the job and it is time for a new president. Each of us has to try harder to be kinder to another and in doing so it will help to heal the deep faith in the American dream.

I don’t care if he was electrifying, I don’t need to feel emotions. I only need to know in my heart and conscious and see what he has done if he is a better candidate for President. It sounds like people want some type of emotional  feeling coming from themselves that he pulls out. We are not dating the man. That’s part of the problem with society. They are use to their emotions being stirred up by Hollywood and the people around them. If someone can bring out an emotion in you, they can control you.
Make a decision based on what you see and conscious tells you.

I think that Romney gave an excellent speech, especially having to do it after Clint’s roast of Obama. His beliefs are exactly what made America the nation it used to be, unlike the progressives, who want to change America completely into a socialist state. America needs a president who will do what Romney is promising. It’s time to do away with the freeloaders who depend on the progressives and want to destroy the great country it once was.

I was absolutely appalled by Brookaw and others in the media…. who were so nasty, so disgustingly obvious of their disdain for everything in “all” the speeches…. Is this where these loathesome people live…. in the gutter… hating American values, and want to live is the sewer??? I have never been so ashamed of grown adults behaving worse than 2 year olds. I hope all those networks tank, I have permanetly deleted them from my TV selections. They no longer exist, are no longer valid, and no longer neutral. Talk about hate speech… the liberal media are really good at that. Loved all the speeches… including Eastwood…. tongue and cheek, clever and witty for this 82 year old. Perhaps it wasn’t “vulgar” enough fot the left to understand????? But no matter what was said or not said…. they still would hate it… and mock anything and everything that was said… that is who they are. They are the worst of our nation… and I am sick and tired of their raunchy behavior and attitude. Time to silence them, and shun them, spend money elsewhere, and let them rot amoungst themselves.

I started out backing one of the other candidates and wondering if Mr. Romney was running because it was what HE wanted, or because it was an unrealized dream of his father’s. I did my best to resist him, but he’s won me over and I no longer doubt him.  I’m finding him to be a caring, compassionate and honorable man.  Plus, and this is a HUGE added attraction, he understands what it means to be an American. While I can’t back him financially, he has my vote.

speeches.  They don’t care what the rest of us think.
I thought Romney’s speech was excellent.
I pray that Ron Paul’s supporters back Mitt Romney.
If Pres. Obama gets elected we will no longer be
the America we used to be.  Our freedom will be gone.

Mitt Is a good and humble man, a family man. He is a successful man. He can turn businesses around. Last night I cried I laughed I was moved in ways I never thought I would be moved. He is the man America needs right now! His choice of Paul Ryan shows he will make good choices for America! I cannot wait to vote in Nov. The Romney / Ryan ticket has my vote!

  • Anonymous

I too was planning to vote for Romney – because he wasn’t Obama!!    But I think that the RNC did a great job of presenting Romney to us so that we could get to know him.  I am now a SOLID Romney voter – and a big fan of his wife Ann.  What a great American family!  Mitt’s speech may not have had pizzaz .. but we already have a slick talker in this race – what we need is a solid man with solid values!

In a perfect world a perfect person would emerge and become everyones favorite candidate. However, this will never happen and the people have to make hard choices.  Obama has nothing more to offer.  He will continue moving this country toward socialism.  If Romney and Ryan can produce 60% of what this country needs in the first four (4) years and I believe they will. This country will be on a solid path of recovery. Control of Congress is a must.  The Republicans must retain the House and get control of the Senate. Harry Reid is a disgrace and it disappoints me that his own party  is allowing Obama to divide and  destroy this country.

I believe that God sent Mitt Romney for the purpose of
being our President at this time in history.  He sent
Paul Ryan to work with Mitt.  Together, I know they will
bring us back from the brink of total economic collapse.

Read the book by Mark Steyn.  “After America” Armegeddan.
That will be our future if we don’t elect Mitt and Paul.

I can NOT BELIEVE that you don’t get the STAPLES reference!!
Mitt Romney and Bain Capital invested in Staples as a startup to give it a chance to grow. Today it provides over 87,700 jobs.
In 1986, Staples opened its first store in Brighton, Massachusetts.
Today, Staples operates more than 1,500 stores and 56 distribution
centers across 49 states and the District of Columbia. In 2011, Staples
had more than $25 billion in sales.
Staples founder Tom Stemberg recalls Mitt’s role in the company:
“Mitt didn’t just invest in Staples when it was an idea — he hung
around …. He was the inspirational leader and while Staples may have
existed without him, I doubt it would have been nearly as big or
successful without him.”With YOU LAUGHING AT THIS because YOU and YOUR STAFF don’t KNOW THIS…is just AWFUL!  You LAUGHING at your Grandfather punching a HORSE IN THE FACE TO KILL IT….and YOU ALL LAUGHING at such a HORRENDOUS THING…MAKES ME SICK!!!You WERE my favorite Conservative Talk Show Host…NOW..I doubt you in ALL WAYS!

You should be ashamed of yourself!

You are right on. Glen. Although Mr. Romney was talking about just one more opportunity to break up one more of the boys fights, which was an opportunity to teach through love, and appreciate exercising parental love.  As a Dad, we have common ground. Having the Sports Authority moment, yes again your right on. We been praying for our country, maybe God has answered. I truly hope so!

You know what just turns my stomach……LIES, LIES, AND LIES FROM THIS ADMINISTRATION AND  THEIR CORRUPT, COZARS.  Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan has told us over and over again what their plans are for the people of this great country and then you have obama and his cozars SAYING nothing in ALL their speeches BUT, trashing Mitt Romney and Paul Ryan AND THEN they and their stooges go on the media saying that THEY have layed out their plans for the American people and that Mitt and Ryan refuse to lay theirs out..OMG!!   obama, biden, jarrett, and poodle hair REALLY THINK WERE A BUNCH OF IDIOTS HUH!!

Maybe WE THE PEOPLE should all email obama and tell him that YOU JUST CAN’T sail today on yesterdays wind……

I would like to tell and ask each of you here that when our new President/VP, Mtt and Paul turn our country around and halt it from going over the cliff that WE THE PEOPLE REMEMBER ONE THING PLEASE!  Remember this….remember what the media, some talk show hosts, radio hosts, and some hollywood actors/actresses, movie producers, singers, and rappers did to us this last 4 years and when we all reach a point of feeling and doing better THAT WE NEVER, NEVER, NEVER support any of them again…EVER!  SOON will be a NEW beginning for us AND THEY SHOULD NOT BE INCLUDED….EVER EVER AGAIN!!
Let them all survive with the money that we’ve already given them thru the years to become only an enemy of not only the people of this country but, our lord and Savior….
I love you and your families even though we will never met you are my brothers and sisters and I will stand with you forever….God Bless all of you, your families and may God bless our brothers and sisters that are in harms way right now..

I loved all the talks!  Republicans definitely DO NOT have a war on women.  I recorded both Fox and CNN.  I couldn’t believe the difference.

Did anyone else notice that CNN just showed the pundits arguing and didn’t show Craig Romney’s talk during prime time?

Also, they didn’t show the Bain friend talking or the other friends that gave testimonals???? Only the older couple?

I believe it was intentional because those are Obama’s attack areas.  The Hispanics; the Bain deals: They also did not show the Olympian’s talks.  I was disgraced by their obvious edits.  I am not watching CNN any longer or recording their shows.  Go Mitt!

I have a testimonial about Mitt. Last election I took my 93 yr old mom to meet him.  She has  dementia.  When we went to shake his hand My MOM said ” You are so good looking!  I’m also good looking so I think we are really related.”

I was embarrassed at first.  His response still brings tears to my eyes in love and appreciation for his sensitive nature.  He said this to her ” Well if we are related then get over here so I can give you a great big HUG!”  He embraced her almost picking her up off her feet.

She loved it and I felt so thankful.  All embarrassed vanished and it was replaced with admiration for a very kind and loving man.

She still displays the picture of all three of us in her assisted living apartment and reminds people of the occasion and tells them to vote for him.  Repeatedly, I might add.  She even reminds me.  She forgets that I was there; I will never forget it.

  • Opinari

It’s scary time.  My Democratic friends are so blaming of Republicans for everything, talk of all the good Obama has done (I’ve obviously missed that), and that they always revert to Bush’s fault.  It’s unbelievable.

They know where I stand and why, they can’t see it.  But then, I can’t see it their way either.

I’ve read that it is believed we are wired with a way of thinking at birth.  Makes sense when you consider how different everyone can be even when raised in same family.

He does it when he decides it is a good plan to “deregulate” the elite economic sector of bankers, investors and Wall Street sleaze-bags who pass making money from money as real valuable work (it isn’t), when all he really wants to do is pass more laws to give his rich buddies (you know, all those who paid for his campaign) a tax break all of us will end up paying. That, Diana, is putting “his base” (remember G. W. Bush) and HIS family first, and putting last those who are hurting most (minorities, students, working families, non-business owners). And you should know better: passing laws to protect the economic elite IS NOT deregulation!!!

The man may be a good man, but he is a terrible choice for a president. You tell me, who do you think has a more humane view of the world: an ex-comunity organizer or an ex-corporate investor? The former cares for people without asking for a cent, the latter will only care for you if you pay him exorbitant amounts of money. There goes the supposed moral and ethical superiority of the GOP, who literally showed its color (white) with this RNC. America is a diverse country. Do you think its diverse and multicultural will give power to a 99% white constituency who opposes multiculturalism and multi-religion-promoting secularism as a governance principle? Nope. November will show the heart of America, and I’m sorry to tell you, it will not pick the man of a people who are comfortable hiring house-negros, house-latinos, house-asians to try to fool minorities into thinking they are considered in their plans.

The entire RNC was uplifting, warm, and tied to the matters at hand, the economy, the deficit and jobs.  There was not a lot of bashing to Obama….and I watched the entire thing on C-Span because I got tired on the progressive liberals cutting out the speeches of the hispanics, women and blacks, so when I found it on C-Span it was uninterrupted.  I did not know that Mitt Romney did not pay himself a salary when he was governor of Massasschusettes…did you?  I believe that he is not only a good man, I believe that he has a good heart and is a generous man who cares about our country….it was almost, and I say almost, a Ronald Reagan moment.  Let’s get busy and help this guy toss the ineligible in chief out this November.  Let me know what I can do.

  • greywolfrs

Although, I think Mitt gave a good speech, I do not think it “sealed the deal.” If anything sealed it, it was Clint.

  • ricoliv

Jack, you took the words right out of my head. Mitt’s European trip was an exercise in HONESTY.  For example, he was asked his opinion of the upcoming Olympics and he gave an honest answer.  The Brits had a collective hissy-fit, even though they had been saying precisely the same things in print and on air. (BTW, I know this because I was in London at the time.) But I am also impressed by the dynamism and energy which seems to radiate from the Romney-Ryan partnership. Watching them is like watching a father-son or older brother-younger brother tag team rather than a sterile, predictable political “marriage-of-convenience.” I, personally, have not been so enthusiastic about an electoral ticket in a very long time.

I don’t believe that Mitt Romney likes to brag on himself….I find him an humble man who just works hard and does not like to take a lot of credit for his accomplishments….of course this is 360 degress to the left of Obama who pats himself on the back for everything…or blames someone else for his failures.

I am one whose Americanism was awoken by the despotism of Obama.  I came
to understand the value of small government, why the Constitution
requires a moral people to work, and the real force behind American
economic power is individual liberty to allow the people to apply their
    creativity and innovate.

Basically, Romney’s economic plan is for
the government to get out of the way to let the American people
create.  I really believe the American people will when there are not excessive hurdles
to jump over.  In past recessions, there is usually a flurry of new businesses created.  In fact, I had worked for one startup that was formed by a group of employees that were laid off during the recession of Bush 41.  The company was successful and was eventually purchased for $120M, making the founders and a few employees millionaires.  The other employees might not have made millions but they made a few hundred k $.

In contrast, there was not the flurry of forming new companies coming out of this recession.  With all the new regulatory hurdles imposed by Obama, Obamacare having disincentives to grow businesses (e.g. growing past a certain employee count causes new rules and more expenses to kick in), it is really no surprise.  However, Obama seems clueless why there has been little or no progress.

I am definitely enthusiastic for Romney and have been for quite awhile.  Personally, I think Romney will ultimately prove to be a great, not just good, president.

Mitt was not my first choice…he wasn’t even me second choice…..but he speaks from the heart and from EXPERIENCE. Mr Romney is NOW my first choice. I have not given up on my other contenders, they are still solid and it would surprise me not to see them in Mr Romney’s staff or cabinet. Mr Romney is smart enough to opt for their council and I have no doubt, he will. I will now work with ever fiber in my body to get Mr Romney elected…he is exactly what America needs at this moment and for the next 8 years.

Presidential Republican nominee, Mitt Romney made his points of where his campaign is headed. First, with his selection of Vice-Presidential nominee Paul Ryan, the only
congressman to have tried to get a budget past. The Romney/Ryan team is serious about having a balanced budget and to stop the insane spending.
Secondly, also in his 5 point plan, to create jobs by starting with our own energy  resources of Oil and Natural Gas,and the drilling of both, and to use to our advantage the mining and liquification of our Coal resources, and the thousands of jobs that these areas would create. I believe he hinted at the spinoff jobs that would be created from these area which would include manufacturing, trucking, engineers, mechanics, exporting of these fuels to other countries making us the leader, or one of the top leaders in this field of energy once again. More importantly, It would decrease our cost for our personal  vehicle use.
Stop and think, remember when Romney said, and I am paraphrasing, “he would create 12,000,000 jobs, a hefty goal.  I mentioned just some of the spinoff employment, well, when people start working in one field, that is when the TRICKLE DOWN EFFECT begins.  As we generate jobs other people go to work, those folks have to stop for lunch, restaurants get busier and new ones open up, a need to hire more applicants.
With more individuals looking and finding work, in other fields, we will need more mechanics, more auto and real estate sales persons, more retail sales clerks, bankers, carpenters, builders, etc. because peolple will again have money to buy homes, cars, and whatever they may need.
It would be a new beginning for everyone !  Call me a dreamer, but thats what, the ‘United States’ and our ‘Founding Fathers’, wanted for us.  If our FOUNDING FATHERS  dared to dream
then I dare to dream it,too.
Let’s take our country back…”GOD BLESS AMERICA”

I think he did great! I don’t need a sparkling orator delivering canned speeches. Mitt spoke from the heart and the entire evening introduced me to a man that isn’t ‘cold’ but actually quite humble and self-effacing. He will make a great President to get Americans back to work producing things the world needs and he will make a great team leader as he knows how to work with all kinds of people for a good outcome as shown by all the people he has worked with over the years, his charity work, and his political career, who still want to work with him. Not so with Obama who used his friends, political and religious, as stepping stones that he walked on and then pushed aside. And boy, I loved all those family shots and Mitt’s heritage. Yes, as stark contrast the communist friends and mentors of Obama. I am all in for Mitt.

Please, somebody have Romney suggest making Ron Paul the Treasury Secretary, if Romney promises this, he can get back the 15% of the GOP that wants Paul.

Romney NEEDS to attack the Federal Reserve or he won’t gain the Paul backers and we’ll lose the election, and frankly even I might consider voting for Gary Johnson if Romney won’t attack the Federal Reserve during the debates with Obama or attack Obama’s warmongering and spending money to train muslim armies (who are Israel’s future enemies).

Mitt Romney definitely showed the human part of him with showing the love he had for his family and how his parents were partners and his mom was showed her importance by a simple flower by her bedside daily until she died.  Then when his mom was senator she showed the strong side of her.  Later Mitt made mention of how he and Ann would give anything to have their boys run one more time and get in their bed with  them.  I’d say we all that have grown children have thought the same thing.  I wasn’t a strong Romney person but I would definitely choose him over President Obama.

The Dems (Maddow etal) comments about Eastwood’s speech are absurd – they didn’t get it, thought he lost his mind, embarrassment etc… they couldn’t recognize that he was intentionally doing some schtick (it was not just a speech but as entertainment) for some comic relief? Yeah, right. I thought it was hilarious! It was also clever from the start – an empty chair for the invisible president ie he is never around. LMAO I guess they took offense at it and have been dumping on him to cover, but it just makes them look stupid! LMAO.

I heard somebody say the other day that Romney didn’t have that “political killer” instinct. Neither did Jesus…neither does Billy Graham or anybody else with worthy notariety. The Bible says that the greatest of people are the ones that are most humble. Humble DOES NOT mean weak. Humble defined meansd …”not proud or haughty or pretentious.” From what I saw Thurdsay night at the RNC Mitt Romney WAS NOT any of those definitions. But the person in the white house is ALL of those things. The choice seems to me to be rather elementary…Romney/Ryan !

  • TheMaskedMarauder

Yes, I believe they are making a stink over it to try to cut down the effectiveness of it. He struck them in the heart and now they are trying vainly to say it was nothing and they aren’t affected – like the black knight in Monty Python and the Holy Grail after having his arms and legs severed and blood spurting out of all the wounds saying “It’s only a flesh wound!”…

I attended the RNC as an Alternate Delegate from PA; the entire convention week was electrifying from start to finish.  I was touched by the refreshing reminders of what makes us Americans and what real “hope” means today–I realized this week how much I truly missed this prospective!  Ann Romney’s was truly remarkable and inspiring–she spoke to me as a Mom and Grandmother–she will be a wonderful change.  From the Honor Guard on Wednesday night (all wounded Veterans) to the Olympians’ speeches…how can we not be proud of what we are, when united as one?

I am more convinced than ever that the Romney/Ryan ticket is vital to the future of our country.  I encourage people to register to vote and then PLEASE VOTE!  Grab your friends and neighbors–we can not afford to sit on the sidelines  and do nothing–the time to change things is fast approcaching!

I already knew that. I’ve seen Russian Spetsnaz that weren’t even in the North for that matter. But it’s part of their anti-terrorism drill. Of course, in the USA “anti-terrorism” is codeword for suppressing rebel Southerners. The USA increased visas to the Mideast by a dozenfold after 9/11 as if to invite that sort of “terrorist” in.

But for the Russians they really do have a terrorism problem from Chechnya. The IRONY is John “bomb Iran” McCain criticized the Russian anti-terrorism operations in Chechnya even after 9/11. Probably because the USA was funding those terrorists (the USA funded Afghani jihadists back in the 80′s to fight the Soviets).

If I lived in the US of A I would vote for Romney but what makes you so sure that there will even be an election. If the ‘Occupy Movement’ picks up steam close to the election things could get so out of control that they would have an excuse to shut down the country and declare martial law. No vote; Obama wins.

He never fooled me for one second. Back in 08, I Knew that Obama wanted to take America down the path to Socialism, Communism, Facism – some kind of tyranny. Most of my family thought I was motivated by racism but race has never had anything to do with American politics except as a means to take the collective mind off of the real issues.

Your most important goals should be to remove useless regulations against business, lowering the debt, balancing the budget and fixing your healthcare system. Hopefully, you’ll do a better job than we did in Canada. But for all that to happen you must vote Obama out of power. Don’t let the s o bs take away your God-given rights. Fight them. This is a philosophical war.

Reply to Fine Tapestry, Mitt Romney donates 16% of his income to charities.  Barack Obama, maybe 1%.  What’s wrong with deregulation, reducing taxes and the cost to do business in our own country so that jobs will stay here instead of overseas, Obama wants to tax small business which will destroy them.  If deregulation builds our economy and creates jobs for 23,000,000 people out of work it’s not a bad plan for anyone. Unlike Obama, I don’t believe that Mitt Romney is lacking in ethics.  He is honest, hard-working, intelligent, he has heart, integrity, he loves American and cares for the people of this Country and I believe his promise that he will work hard for us!  God Bless him and Paul Ryan.

I’m really happy that many are seeing what I’ve believed about Mitt Romney all along. It’s great to express this here on Glenn’s page, but we all need to go on a liberal page and write the same things. There are many people out there ready to vote for Mitt, but just need to know there are others out there making the same decisions. It is more important than ever to vote and get everyone to the polls. Don’t stop by just voting for the conservative for President. We need good people like him in each community across the country to help him turn things around. And we can trust Mitt to surround himself with good people who will help him do what is necessary to keep his promises to us. Get everyone you know to get out to vote – across the country. We can do this!

It’s simple, jobs, jobs, jobs. Unfortunately, the biggest influence in the U.S. is the media and they  all want Obama no matter what. They could have made the story of Romney’s life long before the convention but they ignored it and went along with Obama’s propaganda. To: wandamurline
Mitt Romney said he did not want to be paid a salary
when he saved the United States Olympics from
    terrible financial problems.

For all of you out their, please read a book by
Mark Steyn called, “After America”, “Armageddon”
It is about the financial crisis America is in now and
what will happen if nothing is done to change it.
When I read the part of how Detroit, MI is dying, I
wanted to cry.  This should not be happening in
America.  The author says that so much of what
is happening in our country is because of all of
the social programs and the enormous debt that
    our country carries.
Please get the word out.  The rich are leaving states
that impose high taxes.  If America continues to tax
the rich and businesses, they will leave the states
and go to other states  and
ultimately if the Fed Gov.  makes them pay more
taxes they will leave our country.  It will come down
to the middle class to pay all of the bills and we
won’t just become like Greece but like California
where Stockton, Mammoth Lakes and San Bernadino
have either are bankrupt or have filed for bankruptcy.
So many businesses and richer people have left
California because the burden of taxes have become
    too much.

Obama knew exactly were he was going in 2004… Perhaps even before that. He was primed for the job that awaited him four years later. There is and was a plan for America and Mr. Obama was part of that plan. Of those that voted for him; Many had no idea or could have imagined what those plans were. Those that had a clue, could never have imagined the extent of those plans. Now, we all know, so those that are still voting for the chameleon, SHAME ON YOU!

We now have as our president, an orator. A talker.  We now need a doer.  Romney has certainly been a doer.  It is a clear choice!  Instead of hearing someone tell us what he WANTS TO DO, let us have someone who will be able to tell us what HE HAS DONE!

I got the exact same message from Mr Romney’s speech.  But then I knew all of that over 4 years ago.  Anyone who was bamboozled by the traveling obama medicine show back then deserved what they got.  But the rest of us didn’t deserve the weakened America that resulted.  I saw it coming, an average ordinary, middle aged, middle class American wife & mother (of a Marine) – why, because I paid attention, to Glenn, & to other conservatives who dared to tell the truth instead of pandering to the lowest common denominator among us.  Mr Romney may not have told us anything spectacular, but spectacular speeches are what got us a president whose scanty experience, questionable associations, & radical ideologies are what got us here.  Mr Romney told us who he is and what he will do.  He laid out what is now a stark choice between an “empty suit” president who can’t run on his record, and a man whose entire life has been devoted to his family, friends, neighbors, church, business and country.  He has an unimpeachable strength of character and a history of accomplishments.  This what what we need in a President of the United States, not smoke & mirrors, not hate & division, but a man who can do the job.

  • Anonymous

I agree, great idea, but let’s not “cut our noses to spite our faces” by not voting for Mitt Romney.  This country can’t take another 4 yrs of obamination!  To paraphrase another cliche, let’s get Mitt Romney in the ballpark, then find Ron Paul a seat!

Mitt Romney humbly demonstrated himself to the Amercian people  as the best man for the job  to replace the President and his failing policies and administration. The Amercan people has suffered enough economic pains due to the irresponsible ways and action of the current presidency. With all due respect to the Presidency, this guy holding this leadership position has TO GO! The American people deserve a man of integrity like Mitt Romney. In his speech, Mitt Romney has given me the hope and regained my confidence as an America. He made a simple but honest promise – - to help the American people, and that’s me and my family. God bless you Mitt Romney and God bless this country I love so very much.

  • Anonymous

We’ve had almost 4 years of flamboyant speeches, and what has it gotten us?  It’s time for a serious, business-like approach to our failing economy, and Romney has what it takes to work toward solutions.  This past week showed him to be intelligent, caring, solution oriented, authentic, humble, and a man of utmost integrity.  Just the kind of strong leadership we need going forward.  I am convinced that if anyone can turn the direction of our country around toward prosperity for all, it is Mitt Romney.  After the “narcissist in chief”, his reticence about himself is a welcome relief.  He has convinced me of his sincere desire to work for the American people, and has the experience to make it happen.

It hits to the heart of American’s, the hope that our family will be taken care of and that we will survive the horrible mess our country is in right now, that our kids will have a better future than even we have had. Mitt assures us that he is on the same page as we are, even though, yes, he is rich, but that is not the secret to his joy and purpose, family is. Look at Obama and see his history. Pretty sad, right? What is his history? Does anyone know? He seems to have something to get even with, an agenda to make up for the broken “dreams of his father”. He apologizes for our country when we have helped other nations and should be proud. He promised hope and change, but the real change this country needs from Obama is his change from President Obama to Mr. Obama. He needs to be fired by the American people and sent on his way so he can spend his days doing what he does best, playing golf and hanging out with movie stars.

Why do pundits on our side give the DNC the syllabus for their convention knowing the Democrats will say and do what ever it takes to get votes? Prof. Larry Sabeto just outlined what the DNC needs to do to get voter attention. Will they ever learn? If the Democrats can’t come up with a platform on their own, they certainly shouldn’t get it from our side.

Oh, for goodness sake! Cloud seeding (with silver oxide) has been around since the 50s. It’s not a magic bullet for rain, however. It only works if there is enough moisture in the atmosphere for it to coalesce around the silver molecules. It can’t be used everywhere (like deserts or other dry atmospheric areas). It can be helpful where there is moisture, but not enough to make the big cumulus clouds that produce rain on their own. It produces local effects only, and is not responsible for climate change.

I agree with most of the foregoing comments.  Mitt Romney was not my first choice, however I will wholeheartedly support him because I believe he has the right perspective and plan to become President.  Yes, I can agree that he seemed stiff and wooden in some of his previous speeches, but the convention speech was good.  This  morning I saw part of a campaign rally in Cincinnati where Romney outlined a real genuine plan for getting America back on the right track.  I also observed that he seemed genuinely enthusiastic about it, and so was the crowd.  I thought, “If you keep speaking like that, I think you stand a good chance of bringing a lot of people along with you.”

I disagree with Glenn.  Romney’s speech was fresh, unique, and inspiring.  At 65, I’ve heard many speeches by nominees, and this one was a jewel proving that no one is more suited for the job than Romney. He’s the example of hard work and high ethics our youth desperately need. His proven success will surely bring the needed reforms to bring Americans of all ethnicities to prosperity. As an exemplar for ethics and honesty in business, he is rare and unrivaled. He will undoubtedly raise the conscience of big business leaders and politicians.  Unless this happens, free enterprise cannot thrive. He is the most remarkable candidate we have had for as long as I can remember.  I am astonished that Glenn has not been a fan.

I keep hearing people say that “we can’t relate” to Romney because he’s a wealthy, successful businessman.  What does that really mean?  Maybe they could relate to him better if he gave most of his wealth and success to them!  I have a sneaking suspicion that that’s at the heart of the matter.  Obama got into office because he offered hope and change–I think that the “change” he offered was the color of his skin.  America finally voted in a black man for President–and didn’t really have a clue as to what his plans and beliefs were for the country.
We made history, sure,  but black or white, you have to look at look at the man’s values before you vote him into the highest office in America.  I feel sad that there are so many voters in this country that don’t want to take the time to really understand how important that is.  Like Hollywood and the movies–reality is based on “the cool factor” for so many.  We all have to trust in the power of prayer to help American’s make the right decision in November.

I loved Romney’s speech and the entire convention. It wasn’t really confrontational but honest and powerful. I can’t believe with all we know about Obama that anyone could still vote for him. His agenda is exactly as Glen said many days on his TV show. His supporters  will not believe any of it and that’s the scary part. No connection to Hitler, but he managed to get many to follow him too, and look how that turned out.

Well I thought it was one of the worst RNC convention ever.  It just go to show how out of touch these guys really are.  Clint speech was interesting my favorite part was “Attorneys Don’t Make Good Presidents” is that a warning to us about Mitt, I think so.  My hope is for 2016 maybe America will really wake up and see these self interest politicians for what they really are and put an end to this corrupt 2 party system and get someone in the office who really is for the people who understands the people.

Yes, if someone listened to the speech honestly it was fantastic. Romney will be a great leader and president. We are praying he and Ann are soon replacing the two far leftists who are living in the White House. Can’t possibly survive another 4 years of the Obamas. The country will end as we know it. We’ll be bowing to the Chinese or worse.

I have wondered if Mr. Romney forgot where he came from. After his speech, I knew that he clearly remembered every detail. He knows that he built his own success, as did every American who took a risk to reach for their dreams – whatever those dreams were and are. I started up my own business in 2004. Each year this business grew – until 2009. In July 2008, things took a dramatic nose dive off of cliff. I started to feel it in 2009, and every year since then. I was building a small business with my own blood, sweat and tears. The government, through policies of Obama and his Socialist cronies,  have kept my business stuck in quicksand. If it weren’t for my love for my family, I might have given up.  I am barely surviving, but I still work hard and I still look for new ways to bring income into my business.
Obama doesn’t get it. I do NOT want the government’s “help”. I want to do succeed on my own, just as my dad did. He grew up dirt poor on an Iowa farm. He left once he turned 18 years old to join the Air Force. He went to Vietnam and put in 20 years. He moved on and eventually put in 25 years with a company that used the talents and experience he gained from the military. He went from eating bologna or peanut butter & jelly sandwiches to eating real lunches. And he went from renting to owning a nice home.
That’s what inspires me, my dad’s home-grown success.
Romney gets it. Obama is lost in his belief that the Constitution was and is a failure, that it failed to give government enough power.
Romney understands that we build our own successes from our dreams. He knows that we can build it, but the government can destroy it in a heartbeat.
How many people now fear the government? Isn’t that tyranny? It seems to me that Obama’s dream is to have such a fear. Tyranny is often born from good intentions.
Romney’s speech may not have been as inspiring as Obama’s – last year – but he had a connection with reality. He wants to help our families rather than part the waters, calm the storms and raise the dead.
I sort of believed in him before the speech. I have faith in him, now that he has Ryan and that he has spoken like a real man.

I think Mitt Romney’s speech showed how much of a human he
is and that he came from a background very similar to the majority of the
Citizens of the United States. Mitt being raised in a blue collar town and
being eager to get out and prove himself shows courage and the drive to succeed.
The way his father showed his wife
affection and the fact that they were together for 64 years shows dedication to
each other and strong family values which are a quality that I think our
president should have. I also agree with how he pointed out Obama pushed “Change”
and that he would fix everything and he has been unsuccessful. Mitt on the
other hand does not claim that he is going to fix the world, but he promises to
help me and my family and dam that sounds pretty good right about now. I am
sick of the US assisting other countries and not watching out for our own. It
is time that we step away from the big brother role that the US plays and
allows other countries to fail if they do a bad job. They sure are not here helping
    us when we have issues.

    What are you talking about?

To clarify another error there is a problem and that is that “I’ has become the minority, “I” stands for individual;hence individualism it’s opposite is collectivism=communism.

Obama will do anything to hold on to power!  If he is far enough behind, expect a Hail Mary pass.  A sudden change to Hillary as VP?  A war in Syria or Iran?  These are the most likely ones.  Watch out!

Read what the Democratic platform has done…they plan on taking God out of their convention.
America needs to get back to what our Founding Fathers had in mind…in God we trust.  How can anyone trust Obama or what he stands for.  I find in Mr. Romney  hope for the future…and I trust that if we Vote in November for Mitt Romney America will be heading in the right direction.

I am L.D.S. Like Mitt Romney and Glenn Beck but that has nothing to do with my support of him. I connect with Romney’s ability to recognize the importance of family and the love we all have for our children.  I would like to share with all of you that may not know the challenge of being a Mormon Bishop.  This is a tireless task that requires more work than a full time job and comes with no pay other than the love and respect of your congregation and God.  Let me tell you that this position takes the most special kind of person to be able to listen and advise people who are in a bad place in life. Not just anyone can do this job and it isn’t just for people who are great at leading a company.  This is a position for people who care endlessly for others and never give up on anyone.  If you want to see someone who never judges another then look no further than a Mormon Bishop.  This is a man who has proven in his past that he is willing to serve others for nothing in return, who will commit himself 100% to the betterment of mankind.  Romney was not my first choice by any means but I can tell you with complete honesty that this man cares about this country, God, and all of you!
