Rand Paul – the only one left?

Get Glenn Live! On TheBlaze TV

Glenn interviewed seemingly the only politician with a spine on radio today, Senator Rand Paul. While many Republicans are displaying a readiness to just throw out everything they said they believed in and cave to Obama, Sen. Paul is trying to hold the line. Check out the interview today in the clip above and find out how to get involved HERE.

Rand Paul is holding the line. We need to call Obama’s and Reid’s bluff and make the stand.

  • landofaahs

Maybe we should have selected Ron Paul instead of Mitt.  Remember what everone said first off about him?  He can’t win.  I guess we can see how stupid that was now.  Told ya so.

  • Elizabeth Bracy

Romney was the wrong candidate. The old guard GOP got him in. Ron Paul would have decimated Obama in the debates. I am proud to have voted my conscience for Gov. Gary Johnson for President. Even if Romney was in, Reid said he would stonewall everything. These shananigans in DC are just sickening.

  • http://youtu.be/ff8jDkOHp3U Sam Fisher

I got a really good question for the left. How is Obama actually trying to make a deal. I mean he took everything off the table and say trust me I will talk with you after I get what I want. How is the reaching over the aisle to prevent us from going off a cliff? In my book that not working together in fact where I come from it called a scam.

  • http://www.facebook.com/william.vining.3 William Vining

That’s because you lost, get over it.

  • http://www.facebook.com/william.vining.3 William Vining

Every Democrat in the country is hoping that is exactly what you will do.

Beck’s utter hypocrisy is amazing. He and his stooge Pat what’s his name called Dr. Paul every name in the book when he ran in 2008, they especially loved to claim he was mentally unbalanced, “crazy”, etc. Now all of a sudden, well, nevermind. The first thing Beck should do is apologize to Dr Paul for the years of abuse he heaped on him back when Beck was backing RINOs and losers. And the GOP needs to face up to the fact that Beck and the rest of the right wing mouth foamers are the reason the GOP lost, pissing off people may get you suckers to tune into his radio program, but it doesn’t win a single vote.

  • http://www.facebook.com/ned.barnett.3 Ned Barnett

OK, Glenn, I emailed Rep. John Boehner. Don’t believe it will do any good, but I did what was asked of me.  Like you, I’m increasingly concerned that the Republican Party is the next Whig Party, but we can’t afford to give up.

I think you might be confusing Rand with his Father Ron?

  • Sandie

Obama is more interested in doing as much damage to the Republican party as possible so that Dems win the House back on next election cycle.

  • Sandie

You’re talking about Ron Paul, Beck is talking to Rand Paul.

We have seen John Boner, basically, cave into taxes and Obamaocare. We are watching as these “so-called” Conservatives in Congress are marching to the same drum. When are Conservatives going to wake up and realize that the Republicans have sold you out. When are Conservatives going to realize that these Republicans do not hold the same Conservative values as you? Why do Conservatives continue to elect these clowns? All the Republicans in the House need to do is hold the line, instead they are caving to all the left wing ideas.

One does not need to click anything to find how to do something about this. Conservatives need to truly go back to the Constitution and FREEDOM for all. This is the message and deeds Conservatives need to forward. Stop listening to the establishment and media about Libertarians. The Libertarian Party is the answer. I hear a lot of Conservatives say they disagreed with Ron Paul’s ideas. Well, let me ask you this, do you agree with what the Republicans are doing? Did you vote for these Republicans just so they could cave in and give the Democraps what they want? Do you think Ron Paul would have done that? Do you think true Libertarians would do what these Republicans are doing?

This may be difficult for some Conservatives, they have been listening to the establishment and media for far too long. If Conservatives want to save this country, hear my words and think hard about what I am saying. This is the answer…

People never took the time to get past all the quirks they had about Ron Paul and if they would have taken the time he truly was the only one out there that was FOR THE PEOPLE no matter race, color and/or party line one believed in.     If any intelligent individuals would have taken the time to investigate his background they would have seen a highly intelligent individual concerning banking/finance, all areas of the medical field including insurance, he understood right from wrong, he was the only one out there with morals and ethics.   He understood very well that the U.S. can not be the police of the world, he understood that the I.R.S.had to be changed and/or rid of and that the U.N. must be rid of if we were to make progress, he understood science, he understood law.  He was filled with common sense.      Yep…America sure missed the best opportunity they ever had of surviving.

  • http://www.facebook.com/dannunley Dan Nunley

William, there’s no hypocrisy on Glenn Beck’s part. Senator Rand Paul is a very different man than his father Representative Ron Paul.

  • Elizabeth Bracy

I don’t know, guys. I think the federal government is so out of control that I don’t think we can get it back. I’m not being doom and gloom, just practical. None of them are listening to the people anymore.

  • Elizabeth Bracy

I agree with you 100%!!! There’s a reason Ron Paul’s supporters are more ardent than Obama’s. He was the BEST choice for this country. The old guard GOP got Romney in no matter what, no matter what was best for our country. I voted for Gary Johnson, however I think voter fraud occurred as he only got 1% of the vote (he was easily projected to get 5%). Our country desperately needs a third party to come in, but as I said above, I think it’s too late. The government is so out of control I don’t think anything short of a revolution/secession can rein it in.

    “It’s about the Constitution, Stupid”

  • Elizabeth Bracy

PS I’m not calling anyone here stupid (above)!! It’s just my favorite flash tag from one of Gary Johnson’s ads. Another awesome one was “GO GJ  RP”  You should check them out on youtube.

  • http://twitter.com/patriotmom61 Shirley Widlacki

Rand Paul does well in the Senate regarding fiscal issues, but he is no different than his dad on foreign policy and social issues. The youtube video of Rand telling supporters that a nuclear armed Iran poses NO threat swiftly disappeared from the net shortly after the Nov. 6 election and speculation about Rand’s possible run in 2016 started to grow. That comment alone disqualifies the man from any consideration for president of the United States.

  • http://twitter.com/tsuilingchen Adele Chen

Your vote is for Obama and you people are the reason why Obama win and
now you are here to bragging about you vote for Gary Johnson. Do
compromise is not the end of the world. Because I do not see vote for
Gary Johnson which will lead to the result let Obama elects and let
Romney lose would be good. Common sense is all we need and you do not
have that. It is a time to unite not divided.

I hope Glenn will support Rand in 2016, when Ron Paul supporters talk about agenda 21 we’re conspiracy theorist when Glenn does hes a hero. Like him or not we need Glenn and other main stream republicans on our side.

    Different how?

  • Anonymous

I don’t think you get it, we have all the cards and you and the other fake republicans that are basically just big government with everything except when it comes to your own personnel checking account have no leverage any more. We hold the key to victory not you, we who voted for Paul and Johnson are use to living in the political wilderness……Are you ready?

Give us a candidate who is Anti war without a declaration of war. Who is Against the failed war on drugs and war on personal liberty. A candidate that will revoke indefinite detention of American citizens in the last NDAA. Who will codify forever that all Americans cannot be assassinated and must have a trial by jury. A candidate that would repeal the anti-patriotic Patriot act. Oh ya and someone who is not all up your butt hole on social issues.

    Then we can compromise

  • Anonymous

They are not that different.  Rand is a little less rash (I suppose is a good word), but many of there views are similar or the same.

  • Anonymous

I would define political common sense as standing up for and voting for values you believe in.  Sorry if you just blindly follow whatever the media and establishment throw at you.  I hope to RE-unite with the GOP when they start listening.

  • Lioness

Your absolutely right! I say give in to all your socialistic demands, get it over with and watch as the country financially crumbles. Unemployment at 30%, small business folding, big business leaving in droves (as if your policies haven’t already done a pretty good job at that), gas prices at $10.00+ a gallon, and my personal favorite, the extreme rationing of health care, food, water and energy. Suffering all under the guise of helping the poor. Free stuff for the masses! While the last ounce of money runs dry, with no incentive and no desire to continue, well you know the rest. The senior citizens are already getting the message, the cuts just came in the mail! I am truly hoping that it won’t be too late before you all see the mess progressive/ socialists have inflicted on this country.

  • Jay Jefferson

You call Glenn Beck a mainstream Republican? You know he’s not even Republican, right?

  • Jay Jefferson

What’s wrong with Rand on social issues? Go ahead, enlighten me. Is he unwilling to unconstitutionally throw potheads in federal prison?

  • Jay Jefferson

    RAND PAUL 2016

  • http://twitter.com/tsuilingchen Adele Chen

Couldn’t you Ron Paul people see some bigger picture? First of all, you lead Obama to the throne, second of all, why you people could not see something far more dangerous in the picture: Mulitilan of ISLAM is here and Obama is helping them to do it.
I am not saying small government, lower tax and all kinds of you Ron People shouting for but voting Gary Johnson would not helping your goal to reach! That is my point.
Romney is not the best candidate we can have but it helps to slow down something more evil! America is becoming Islamized!

  • Anonymous

Glenn you point out a lot of things going wrong in this country and in the world..The GOP needs to reorganize quickly and start recruiting new blood into the party. We need some serious leadership and unity if we are going to get our country back. There has been nothing new on the repulican website in my city nor for the state. The people are ready. Where are our leaders who are couregeous enough to stand for what is right?

  • Anonymous

I wanna stop it not slow it down. As it is I’m in my early 30′s, if this shit house is going to catch fire I want it too while I’m still young and strong enough to take care of myself.

And honestly you with the Muslims, get a grip. You don’t give up our constitutional freedoms because a few people die in an attack, especially when a terrorist attack is statistically irrelevant. You freak out because a few dozen, hundred or thousand might die in a bombing but 400,000 people die every ten years in car accidents. Deaths from terrorists in a non nuclear way are irrelevant to the population, they are a decimal point in the death rate in this country. I’m not giving up my freedom because some people might get blown up in a Starbucks. People who are scared of terrorism are pussies. If you die you die

You are already dead you just don’t know it, you suffer from a terminal disease, its called life

I bet you bought into the obviously fake and politically convenient Bin Laden tapes too. Did “muslims” REALLY bring down 3 World Trade center buildngs with utmost precision of demolition experts on 911 with mere aircraft? Why were there 5 Israeli’s celebrating and happily videotaping themselves in front of the burning towers in Liberty Park? How come these israeli’s were caught with a van full of explosives by the george washington Bridge on 911? Go to YouTube and watch…..”Fox Banned News 9-11 The Israeli Connection, Mossad, AIPAC, Art Students Spy Ring”. ALSO…watch….”911 Conspiracy REVISITED – Nano-thermite Found In Twin Towers INSIDE JOB”.

  • Darryl Schmitz

I’m glad he interviewed Rand Paul. After having been on the bandwagon dismissing Ron Paul in 2008 and not paying much attention to him in 2012, I’m glad he seems to be waking up to a budding renaissance of constitutionalism in America, that will really hit the mainstream when the economy collapses. By then, sadly, it will be too late.

With all respect to the Senator, Rep Tom McClintock is far superior to Rand Paul. The fact virtually no one in the GOP knows who he is is reflective of the GOP’s problem

  • Troy Stanley

I assume since you have such fearful thoughts of Islam in America that you are a Christian. Has your God no might against your enemies?

More importantly, if we lead, which we will in the next election too, than YOU are not seeing the big picture. Get in file.

Troy, I agree with your sentiment.  As a Christian I believe that EVERYTHING is happening exactly as it’s supposed to.  That doesn’t mean I have to sit back and say or do nothing.  I believe what the Bible says in James 2:17, “Thus also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.”  It does mean that I’m not afraid, in the sense of fearing my enemy.  I am afraid, meaning that the times ahead might be extremely difficult and maybe painful.

At the RNC Convention, the RNC threw the Ron Paul Delegates from Maine out, they told us they didn’t need Ron Paul  or his supporters and they passed rules preventing any grass roots candidate to get as far as Dr Paul again! Ron Paul had the Obama youth and instead of welcoming them the RNC turned them away! The RNC threw the election!!!!!!!! As we can see now the republicrats are giving Obama what he wants as they did with NDAA and the Patriot Act…..

Adele I ask you this, would you vote for someone that you disagree with everyone of their policies? That is why I didn’t vote for Romney!

The argument that the two parties
should represent opposed ideals and policies, one, perhaps, of the Right
and the other of the Left, is a foolish idea acceptable only to the
doctrinaire and academic thinkers. Instead, the two parties should be
almost identical, so that the American people can “throw the rascals
out” at any election without leading to any profound or extreme shifts
    in policy.

Ron Paul was mocked  ridiculed more by republicans than by democrats, for his mannerisms.  Both Sean Hannity and O’Reilly insulted him. If he was for war in the Middle East he might’ve had a better shot at being elected.  But like Pat Buchanan, they labeled his an isolationist and if that wasn’t enough they called him an anti-Semite. Rand Paul IS different from his father, but not that different; he has youth going for him and hopefully he’s learned from what his father has been put through

Islamic influence is slowly but surely permeating our culture. Even in my engineering classes at my government-funded school, I notice the subliminal affects of this permeation. Some of the variables used in equations look like characters straight out of the Koran.

Just last week, I found myself subconsciously praying to Allah, asking that he would grant me strength by his prophet Muhammad to get perfect scores on my exams. And yesterday, I found myself continuously uttering “Allah Akbar” under my breath. No matter how hard I tried, I could not stop. I feel as if I am being brainwashed by Obama himself, who is single-handedly turning this country into a terrorist nation.

When Glenn asked who else was supporting Rand’s ideas he should of said his father. But I guess Rand needs all the “support” he can get, even from Beck.

If anyone is leading anyone to the throne it is people who nominate someone who differs little with Obama. Voting for the same old thing and expecting different results is a waste of a vote. Johnson got democratic votes also. You, establishment Republicans” are the ones who gave Obama the win (only by 2%). Who could’ve conceived Obama winning with in such a bad economy and with a record of breaking constitutional protections even worse than Bush winning. That just goes to show the alternative must have really sucked.

Glen Beck is all over the place..  Back in the early primaries he was talking about how Romney and Gingrich were all wrong and he could never support them. , and yet he failed to support Ron Paul , then when Romney stole the nomination from Ron Paul Beck got behind Romney and was cheerleading for him… Now that Obama has won re-election Beck is back to saying he will not support the GOP……

Make up your mind Glen Beck .. You are all over the place.   You should have thrown your weight behind Ron Paul from the start and he would be our President Elect right now.

In no state did the winner obtain less than 50% of the popular vote of that state. The Electoral College system makes the race a state-by-state contest. In other words, the only people responsible for Romney’s loss were (A) the Romney campaign, and (B) Republican primary voters. If it’s time for anything, it’s time to wake up, consider where you’re mistaken line of thinking comes from, and start to question everything you thought was true.

Speaking of the son, Rand Paul. Rand Paul undoubtly has some good ideas. Everyone does. Unfortunately, he did not ever have to struggle in life. His dad paid all the bills. Got him out of trouble when he was in college. So, does he really understand the middle class and the poor?

People who speak Party lines have by -passed their thinking capability. How do you know Reid “said he would stonewall everything?” Essentially during Obama’s first term, Mitch McConnell and John Boehner did that to Obama. With the help of the Tea Baggers of course. When someone says to me they are a Republican, Libertarian or a Democrat, my comment to them is, “why do you not just grow up, maybe become an Independent? Ron Paul did not have the ambition to expand his territory, check out his ideas. Virtually all presidential candidates “grew up.” That is, they were successful,  elected as a representative, then state or U.S. senator, perhaps on to a govenorship. Ron Paul did the first step. If a man has good ideas that enrich the lives of his constituency, those ideas then usually gravitate beyond his constituency. Ron Paul likes his patch of ground in Texas. He seems to like running for the presidency as this gives him media coverage. Puts a lock on his little patch of ground in Texas. Suppose Ron Paul were nominated as the presidential candidate. He would have to come up with some pretty good “stories” about how he “did not know” that certain editor(s) of his newspaper wrote  uncomplimentary articles about blacks. But then, the Libertarians and the GOP simply do not appeal to the blacks. And why should the GOP, Libertarians  try to appeal to the blacks? The GOP is a party for the rich. They are the flesh eaters of the animal kingdom. The Democrats are the grass eaters. Laws will continue to be created to protect the grass eaters. The flesh eaters have  the money with lobby power to make laws for their favor, just for themselves. Then, when a law is under question, unfair, corrupt, the wealthy can always say, “we were just following the law.”

The Libertarians attract the well-to-to, usually. The GOP has evolved into the GOB.
(G)reedy (O)ld  (B)astards. Or as lots of women now say (G)et (O)ut of my (P)anties.
Anyone who strictly follows the party platform of any party is practicing facism. Frankly, all parties have their lunatic segment. It is just that the GOB has substantially greater numbers of them  and they are much more intense lunatics.

Romney is Obama’s partner and helped Obama win by running a bad campaign.  Romney is brother with these islamists that you don’t like.

Romney would never go after latino vote even though bush did.  Romney never challenged him on benghazi or even mentioned it.  Romney for the most part didn’t defend himself and let Obama for months define him and run neg ads, while Romney did nothing to Obama.  The list goes and onand on…

Romney did the opposite of small gov-t in Ma – as he believes in socialized medicine as obama does.  Idiot – theyused the same advisors ot craft romneycare and obamacare – now, don’t you get it?

Vote for Gary Johnson is not helping you to fix the PROBLEM but accelerate the process to cripple America unless Gary Johnson can be elected. You have to look at the reality and trying to be practical.
Romney is a bad candidate but at least he could do counter effect what damage Obama brings to America.

Rand Paul is awesome!  I voted for his father Ron in the Republican Primary.  I was unsatisfied with Mitt Romney and decided to vote for Gary Johnson.  That was the past…  Looking ahead to the future, it would be unwise for any American to not support a Rand Paul presidential run.  He is a true libertarian conservative.  Most importantly he is a Constitutionalist.  The GOP establishment will do whatever they can to get rid of a patriot like Rand.  We need to watch his back America…

  • Elizabeth Bracy

I too voted for Gary Johnson!! I def. think there was voting fraud as he was projected to get at least 5% of the vote.
I used to think getting a 3rd party was the way to go. Now, after this election, I believe the only way the GOP can come back is to embrace libertarian values from within, and get electable candidates like Johnson. The old guard has to go. They’re the ones that got Romney in. Ron Paul and Johnson were the only candidates that were truly FOR THE PEOPLE, no matter what. The GOP owes Ron Paul a huge apology and should be kicking themselves now for effectively ignoring him during the primaries. Ron Paul could have won. I live in Portland and I saw so many Ron Paul Revolution and Obama Is So 2008… signs/bumper stickers/etc.

  • http://twitter.com/tsuilingchen Adele Chen

In reality, would Gary Johnson get elected? Just ask yourself this question for one moment! The answer is NO. So your vote is for Obama virtually. Now how Romney would be different? Of course! He would be different from Obama because I am sure he is true American and give him benefit of doubt he would turn this horrible economy back to the right direction.
I had been a lecture in a university for 6 years and I know our generation looks like. This is the reality, it is either Obama or Romney. If you want your liberalism, please do it with your kids, your family and your community. I am doing this with my community and my Sunday school. Do all I can to serve and help as much as I could to the next generation. You turn our next generation around then we can talk about Ron Paul, or Gary Johnson as the President of United States. Get it?!

I am off with GWB, do not even want to recall such a name. Now asking yourself, do you elect Obama to the oval office by voting for Gary Johnson? Be practical, please!
BTW, Bin Laudin family had cut the tie between the family and Osama.

Mike, you don’t get it at all. Your value is not created through politicians or policy or any President of United States. You build it through family and community. I am willing to comprise myself to vote for Romney because he was born in America, he was raised by the family with moral value, he declared in the presidential debate that it is immoral to borrow money from China to make PBS work, he stands with Israel, he is a Mormon so I give him a benefit of doubt that he at least believe in the Judeo-Christian value, and the most important of all he was not a communist.  So would not all these make him different from Obama?
You are naive to waste your ballot to Gary Johnson who have no chance to get elected. So what is the point? For a pie in the sky that is not impossible to achieve but do need a new generation to accomplish it. Ron Paul couldn’t do it, Gary Johnson couldn’t do it but we could. Anyway, it is too late to even say anything about it because Obama is the President now. So you should do your part in your family and community to root the heart and desire of liberty to the next generation otherwise, wait for the great tribulation and next the Kingdom come.

If somone says “I want to cut government spending – to avoid de facto bankruptcy and economic breakdown” the logical first question is “what, specially, are you going to cut – in order to save these hundreds of billions of Dollars”.

Most politicians will then just waffle on about “fraud and waste” – Rand Paul will openly state where the hundreds of billions of Dollars are going to come from.

That may make him “unelectable” (in a degenerate age) – but no one can, honestly, say “no politician will tell us the truth” or “we have no way out”.

There the man is – standing by a door that he is holding open.If most people do not support reality that is their fault – not his fault.

SO WHY did you play the media game and ignore Ron Paul?  COME OUT AND SAY IT GLENN!!!!
I cancelled your subscription when you did the ‘ignore’ game, just like the MSM. Since you own the company, you can do what you want, but you lost a LOT of us.  I’m one of the few who have come back to you (Dish).
Fess up to all of us.  Say something like, “I didn’t like Paul’s take on Israel, but what I did wasn’t a smart move”
so many of us are waiting.  Praying! We want you back so bad. You are all we have. But you have that standing between us.
