I want to know how much its been for past presidents!  I noticed Mooshell was bragging about their 54 Christmas trees – aside from the 37 they had last year, how many trees have past Presidents had?  The research I did, I couldn’t find any more than one Christmas tree for past Presidents that was even talked about.

Okay, so lets put things into perspective a bit.  I haven’t the resources to research this further but I’m curious, if the Oblahblahs have cost American tax payers $1.8Bil last year, how much have past Presidents cost tax payers?  I don’t mind fighting the fight so long as I’ve got more than sound bytes!

Oh, and by the way – its WAAAYYY more than $4Mil for their National Lampoon’s Griswolbama Christmas Vacation… its nearly $4Mil alone just for Air Force One expenditures!!  They’re also taking a C10 to transport the Presidential Limo’s, special Ambulances, special security helicopters, not to mention the scores of people to operate them – oh, and lets not forget the residents who will be inconvenienced because that area will be virtually shut down for a couple weeks.

Im having a hard time coming to grips with this, when so many families cant even afford to feed themselves, let alone take a vacation . And if you cant feed yourselves its kind of hard to even think about Christmas etc.

My husband and I own a small business and haven’t had a vacation in 5 years. We just splurged on a trip to Vegas for three nights, airfare and hotel for our 30th anniversary. This cost us around $500.00. Plus a little spending money that we had to use a credit card for. I am sickened by this and all the rest of the BS that our leader and “Royal Family” can do because we pay for it. I’m ready to leave this country because of him and will live in poverty if necessary.

Why are they going anywhere??? They don’t exactly have that many extended family…. and why in the world do they decorate the White House for if they aren’t even there for Christmas??? I would like to read this book but I didnt hear what the title was. I had been wanting to see a break down of past presidents in comparison for some time. This would be a good topic for a future show. Im angry that no one has focused on this issue including the lavish parties that have been thrown and the over staffing of the white house. Like any household budget, there should be a budget cap on spending by presidents. Where are the republicans on speaking out on this issue. They are supposed to be working for us. I have been very angry since I heard this over the top dollar amount today, while I was leading my high life style of cleaning homes and businesses. 

 At some point people who are hungry enough will wake up and then hopefully put responsible conservatives into office. Until then the Royal family will enjoy the elaborate lifestyle on the taxpayers dime.

this really irks me! my family hasn’t had a vacation since January 2009.  The reason? my husband has lost his job three times in four years due to this stinking economy. Last year it was December 23 when his company closed it’s doors, yes, two days before Christmas.  He will be off this year between Christmas and New Years and he will not be paid for this time off because his company closes and he doesn’t have vacation time like the other employees. 
Thank God we have family near us and that my husband has a job.  We make the best of this difficult time by surrounding ourselves with family and friends.  But, this type of in your face vacationing MUST stop.

You have highlighted a major part of the problem. The media is to blame for the American people not knowing crucial information. Many who rely on just the main stream media will be in the dark about a lot of issues. It amazes me how little people know and how little they want to know. I do research outside of the media and the internet. I do that because I believe it is important to know this information. I wish more people were engaged. Because if they were, America could not be fooled. America would be smart enough to know what is happening and how we are losing so much of what our ancestors fought for.

I do watch some liberal stations to see what they are saying. Of course, they will not show the devastation because it would make Obama look bad. When Bush was blamed for not helping the victims of Katrina, I believed he didn’t do enough. They showed it night and day. I only wish the media would tell the truth for both parties instead of sticking to their typical talking points.

The President’s vacations should not cost America one penny.  No employee can charge his employer for their vacations, that comes out of one’s own pocket and if we don’t have the money we don’t go on vacation.  Simple as that.  Now go do what our President told us to do: “Eat your peas.”

When and if Obama raises the taxes on the wealthy, the wealthy won’t be as rich and may not give to the poor as much. The playing fields will be leveled and then who will help the poor people? DOES it not boil you blood to hear that it costs the American taxpayer $1.4 billion a year for this buffoon and his spoiled silly family, with their tax free vacations, and HIS MAJESTY playing the greatest golf courses in the world. They are currently readying themselves for their HAWAIIAN Christmas holiday at a cost of only 4,000,000.00 (MILLION) This includes their BILLION $ helicopter ride to AIR FORCE ONE including the four Obamas, their o’pair. her hairdresser and innumerable assistance, her brother usually tags along (WHY NOT) and just to keep the queen happy, a number of her friends. ALL this for 000 WE PAY FOR IT.

Obama says any deal on the fiscal cliff must be a “balanced package” that raises taxes on the wealthy, spends MORE MONEY on “infrastructure” along with INCREASING the debt limit!  Obama is a progressive socialist who will stop at nothing to ruin this country and he got re-elected, that’s sick!

What socialist agenda do you keep talking about.  Get a clue.  First, Obamacare was written by the Harvest Foundation which is a conservative group.  The bill basically privatizes insurance for all.  Oh, but wait, the GOP only wants things privatized where they can make money!!!!  They don’t want to pay for anything.  Just like when these companies pay minimum wage and people still qualify for FOOD STAMPS.  Companies don’t want to pay employees enough to afford a roof over their heads or food in their stomachs.  These companies just want you to work for the little they pay and then have the government subsidize the rest and then they want to scream about having to pay taxes for entitlements.  They pay these people very little in order to shift that burden to the government and then have the middle class up the bill.  This makes the middle class poorer all while not having to pay a time out of their pockets.  Get a clue.  Glen Beck if you are such a Christian then go read your Bible.  “To whom much is give, much is required.”  Why don’t I ever hear you talking about that Bible verse and what about God’s law in the Old Testament on give the poor the rich’s spoils.  No, you don’t ever want to say that!!!!  You my friend are one of the biggest hypocrites and I am a Christian.  But, I understand what God says in his Word and you my friend are missing the larger message in the Bible.  This GOP blinds you with things like abortion and homosexuality (which most of support when put on the spot)  so that they can keep you busy fighting these things in hope that you are not paying attention to the real policies they are trying to push through.  People use your heads.  They gave the rich 10 years of tax cuts and they still sent 3.4 million jobs overseas.  They paid lower wages saved on taxes and pocketed the rest.  Is this country really that stupid.  You want to know where the jobs went, ask the GOP.  While their rich friends continue to send jobs overseas and keep their money overseas, they expect the middle class to pay for the roads and the wars for which they also reap the benefits.  That is what broke this country along with China’s manipulated currency.  China is still communist at the end of the day and America is supporting it by continuing to buy these companies goods that they make there.  Look at what Steve Jobs said in his book, “He doesn’t have an allegiance to the US.”  Wake up Ameica!  Wake up!  Suprise.  When you support communism you will be a communist and they will tell you it is all in the name of competing.  When the GOP is trying to take the voice of the American Worker away and trying to weaken OSHA and the EPA this is your warning sign.  Go see what the Republicans are up to while you have been fighting against abortion and homosexuallity.  Two issues that they will never completely address because some of these guys, their family members and friends are gay and because they aren’t going to want to foot the bill for all the unwanted children.  So that aside, do you know whatelse the GOP stands for because if you do and you vote for them then the condition of this country is just as much your fault as it is theirs.

Also, please go read the Patriot Act that the GOP passed all in the name of terriorism.  This is how they get you.  They can sit in your churches and listen to what is being said.  And all the Christians in this country turned a blind eye.  Why is that???  People, start paying attention to the bigger picture.  Also, think about socialism.  The methods we have in place today is the social program.  Today, if people who bypass paying for insurance so they can purchase other things and companies that don’t want to pay for it or offer it to their employees then when they get sick and land in a hospital who pays for it.  The TAXPAYER.  That is the social program.  Because again, big business doesn’t want to be completely private they just want the parts of privitization that makes them money not the part they makes them pay out money.  HELLO AMERICA ARE YOU LISTENING???

If the Obama’s want to go to Hawaii, I have no problem with that, but THEY should pay for it out of THEIR pocket!! I make $13.00 an hr and will work on Christmas day, as will many Americans. If I want to go anywhere it comes out of MY pocket. The gas… the lodging… the food, etc. This President, in the terrible economic times (like others) is just rubbing it in our face. I would love to talk to this guy face to face… I would simply say… “What The Hell??”
