I wonder if someone committed suicide after getting a telephone solicitation from the Obama campaign whether all political calls would be banned.

Where is those 6 seconds do you get that she somehow was mentally disturbed.  I heard a completely professional person answer the phone and passed the callers on to the right person to answer their questions.  Do we know if there were any ramifications that were handed down later on because of her inability to figure out it was a prank call of terrible taste and shouldn’t have happened in the first place.  Does anyone in their right mind think she would have committed suicide if she had never picked up the phone which is probably in her job description to begin with.  Garbage in and garbage out, pure and simple.  Too bad we don’t know the whole story but automatically assume it was a mentally deranged person because she took her life.  It couldn’t possibly be that she felt she committed the biggest sin on earth, one that went right up the ladder to the Queen and she took total blame for the whole stupid thing.  Beck is wrong on this one and probably lost a bunch of supporters while spouting off without full knowledge of what went down through the whole ordeal.  Have a nice Christmas Glen.

I whole heartedly agree that this may have started as a prank.  What concerns me is the INITIAL RESPONSE by Michael (As played on BBC International) was that he was sorry to the Royal Family, but made no reference to the nurse’s family.  He also milked the press by saying, in effect, when he woke up that morning, he had no idea that he would achieve international status for what he did.  The initial reactions by “M&M” were light-hearted & maybe even callous in their self serving nature.  As such, the latest tearful comments occur 18 hours or more after the event.  Nixon may have had his missing 18 minutes – “M&M” now have their missing 18 hours.  Play back their initial responses and what we hear become “Crocodile Tears”.

The DJ’s are now on Suicide watch.  Are they now considered mentally ill? People who think pulling pranks on strangers don’t get it — do you? Forcing others to participate in what you think is fun and games is selfish. When you pull pranks on people; there are other people joining in and making fun of the person who got caught in the game.
