What was Glenn thinking? Shockingly bad wardrobe decision…

Get Glenn Live! On TheBlaze TV

Glenn’s fashion history has ranged from hippie to slob to shock patterns — but lately it’s been relatively normal. That is until recently when Glenn has gone on a self admitted ‘pattern’ kick. It’s just terrible – so bad that Glenn’s son-in-law/fashion expert denies any involvement. He addressed the controversy on radio today.

The offending outfit is below via producer Natasha:

and from the TV shoot:

Glenn – I know the blue jeans sales have been a hit, but please, please stay away from the controls of the machinery that allow you to design your own fashions.

Of course, unless old Wiley Fox you has something else in mind that is coming down the line in the next few days or a month at most. Which given the way you love to arrange surprises, would be no shock at all.

  • http://www.facebook.com/GlennBeckfanatic Marie Gallagher

    Oh,Glenn,honey! I’m loving the shirt,but,not the tie.You’re still handsome as ever,though. :-)

  • Anonymous

I think it looks very Christmasy….Glenn is Kool!!!

  • Canadianlady

Glenn needs a total wardrobe overhaul.  He should be wearing a suit and tie when he’s on TV, but instead, he dresses like he’s homeless.

OUCH!  Brings a whole new meaning to “shock jock.”

    Glenn’s hip . . . I’m not hip . . . let him stay hip . . . one of us has to be.

    • http://twitter.com/mtnvortex mtnvortex

Look, I love Glenn, but he is the exact opposite of “hip”. He’s Jim Dingle, all the way.

      • Anonymous

I could only imagine what you would think of me then . . .

Mr Beck, I have a similar patterned shirt and I love it! We must be twins separated at birth

  • Étienne Wilkinson

I think he looks great!  Plaid and paisley are actually an awesome combination.  Keep it up Glenn, you’ve got great taste.

    • http://www.facebook.com/people/Pat-Clark/100001458831484 Pat Clark

      especially to a 60’s hippie….just sayin’.

Oh!   OHHH!  So THAT is why I keep wearing those odd combinations!  Sheesh.  I just thought I was a bit ‘teched’ in the head.

    • Anonymous

I need a welding mask just see Mr. Beck with that shirt and tie in they are so bright.

      • http://pulse.yahoo.com/_E7CHW6LU3HB3FCSZPY654BIQDA Bumpkin Kingsway

        …as in Merry and Bright?

    • Anonymous

Plaid is a regulated pattern while the paisley is a random pattern so in a room the two actually work. But one on top of the other isn’t the best.  But the colors match.  I’ve seen much worse combinations in attire.

      • Anonymous

Actually, I think it makes a larger statement as to where he has come from and to where he is going.

Where what you want Glenn. Especially if it annoys Pat

  • http://twitter.com/AskGrace Happy Harriet

Oh, dear me.  Glenn, you look like you dressed by selecting your clothes as you would your Chinese meal:  one sock from this drawer, one sock from over here, a shirt from the back of the closet, a tie from that rack over there…

  • Anonymous

The best…….Glenn, I love it.  Where can I get the shirt???

  • Anonymous

I’m so sorry….I’ve been so focussed on how my business is going to survive the tsunami like flood of socialism hitting our country, and how to keep my family living in a home instead of under a bridge, I completely forgot to pay attention to how Mr. Beck was dressing himself these days.

See?  Here is Glenn, again, thumbing his nose at all of those “aren’t I perfect”, quantum-decorum folks, yet at the same time is showing a tiny touch of ‘liberal’ here. -As in liberally-bright haberdashery.

at least he has the same color combination going on – my preacher did this Sunday – a striped shirt with a printed tie – my granddaugher leans over and says “his tie doesn’t match” – lol

I would bet that that shirt and tie cost more than a weeks worth of groceries for a family of 5.

Glenn looks the best I’ve seen him in a long, long time.  Whatever his wife is doing to correct his eating habits and exercise habits seems to be working.  The patterned shirt and tie I could live without, but, you have to admit, he looks healthy!

from the first days of my life with glenn … when he started on fox tv … i have felt a certain kinship, both in belief in communists under the bed and a certain flair in wardrobe choices all the way to full blown paranoia (or is it?) and chartreuse muumuus (me) and strange uniforms for glenn.  i often wonder about our mental status with the paranoia (or is it?) thing, but nobody can wear crazy patterns and muumuus like we do and will so long as there is a breath in our bodies.
(some day when you are tired of your lovely wife and want to live in a hovel with a fat crippled old paranoid (or am I?) woman, call me glenn)

p.s.  glenn as president? i think the presidency is dead.   come on, glenn, take the world premiership away from obama

I think it looks great.  I prefer the western look myself, living in ranch country, but all in all, it is a nice look for Glenn.

Of course this is from a woman whose own clothing is much loved and well worn and today happens to have evidence on them of the day’s canning efforts; the same woman who suggested her husband wear a tie printed with Calvin and Hobbes, sledding down the hill to their next adventure, for their wedding.

Glen I don’t care what you wear, just keep up the voice because that is all that matters.

  • Anonymous

Mr. Beck, don’t know if you were around then or if so, old enough to remember, but paper dresses were very fashionable for a brief period in the mid-60s. I owned a couple but have to admit, never had the nerve to wear them for the same reason you gave for the disadvantages of your papertowel suit idea.

  • http://www.facebook.com/geewillicker Dave Lewis

I like your tie and shirt, and you really have to get rid of the Dork’s around you!
You should really get into style, ofr the Scots, and start wearing a Kilt, and a Sporen.
You would really be in style wearing a Kilt from your Family Clan.
I used to go to the Scottish Games and Gathering, in Santa Rosa, in the mid 1970’s. My Mom’s ancesters came over on the Mayflower, and were the Summerville’s and the McCormic’s.
They were from Scotland, and share the same Tartan as the Royal Stewart Clan.
They have the Sport and Dress Tartans. Both are similar in color, but woven with different patterns.
A wardrobe of three or four Kilts would really let you stand out as the Professional that you are.
Of course, you want to be prepared for the amount of wool used, and the cost of each kilt. A kilt for a 32 waist, in 1977, was almost $1,000.00. Elsie Stewmeyer, Kiltmaker, said there would be about 20 yards of wool to make my size Kilt.
Another great feature to them, is that they are really warm, and you het to wear “long Stockings” and “lightweight ” shoes, and a small dagger.
You will justy have to get your accent back again, so as to be your old self, and a great looking Scotsman.
And, about your friend, who has Parkinson’s, I attended a church in Santa Rosa, where Pastor Mario Murillo was hosting the Holy Spirit, for over three months.
Over three hundred people were healed of Cancer, Lupus, Heart Disease, Parkinson’s Disease, Migrane Headaches, and more.
It is Livng Word Family Church, in Santa Rosa, California. Even when Pastor Murillo is not there, there are healings by the Holy Spirit, as well as Baptism of the Holy Ghost.
I had two heart murmurs during the Heaking services, and my Cardiologist scheduled a stress test, and I went to the healing service, and a week later, went in for the test.
During my follow-up appointment, the Cardiologist said to me” This is impossible; A heart never gets better. There is Nothing wrong with your heart; It is in perfect condition.”

Actually, Stu is kinda right about the second Back to the Future movie scene being a sort of documentary. More of a prophesy, though. The Cubs played The Marlins either in the playoffs or the World Series some years back. The Cubs would have won Game 6 and the whole series without a need to go to Game 7 if a guy in the stands hadn’t of reached out and caught the ball just as an outfielder was waiting for it to come down.

Fashion statement is without a doubt the best he can do.  Love it or hate it.  Glenn you are the best.  If you wore PJs to do your show I would still tune in to listen and watch as you educate the public on what is happening in our World.  Keep up the good work my friend.

Love your fashion sense most of the time.  My guess, is that you snuck out of the house before Tanya could see what you were wearing.
