“2 people can keep a secret as long as one of them is dead”.—Benjamin Franklin

  • Snorri Sturluson

Consider that a socialist / communist agenda by the Federal government requires that all firearms be either confiscated or under strict control. Also, the 1st, 2nd, 4th and 5th amendments to the U.S. Constitution have to be markedly modified or abrogated. Consequently, the injury or death of an individual(s) is a situation(s) to be resolved after the fact for the best over interest of society. If the insane, emotionally disturbed and anti-social are society’s fault, self-defense is unjust, in the liberal viewpoint. Prayer, pleading and submission to violent acts are the options which are acceptable to liberals. Do you want to live lie that?

    • landofaahs

Meanwhile the obama administration arms the Syrian rebels.  Think about that.  Arming citizens to fight their tyrannical government. The same reason our founding fathers insisted on the second amendment.  The arrogance of this administration is astounding but expected because the liberal press does not do it’s job.

      • jen

Syrian rebels are infact al quaeda and related islamists extremists fighting for sharia law.  The fight is for islam and they want assad because he is like qaddafi and mubarak and saddam in that they are more secularists that would not implement sharia law.  All these are infact not that tyrannical in comparison to the rebels in iraq, libya, egypt, syria, etc… that republicans and democrats alike are funding.

Why only put the blame on obama?  It is also republicans that agree with this and vote infavor of funding this.  you’ve seen many from the so-called right like mccain and lindsay graham, etc… calling for arming the al quaeda rebels.

        • landofaahs

By that logic, democrats also voted to send troops into Afghanistan and Iraq, so why do liberals call it Bush’s wars? It works both ways. The difference is that obama is going into areras on his own without congressional approval. Republicans did not complain about the wars they voted for, it’s democrats whop do that kind of stupid crap.

There seems to be confusion in the U.S.A.. There is a difference between “gun control” & “banning guns”. A .223 for self defense can result in bullets going through walls and killing your family or your neighbours! If you need a 30, 50, or 100 round mag to hunt, then you probably shouldn’t be in the woods! In my 20 years as police officer, I had to use my weapon twice. Both were deranged individuals who HAD EASY ACCESS TO GUNS!
Intending no disrespect to the victims, perhaps U.S. lawmakers would take the the right steps if the Congress & Senate were locked in their meeting places and shown the crime scene & autopsy photos of the innocent victims!
Don’t ban but RESTRICT gun ownership!

    • Anonymous

It starts with gun control and by the time all is said and done, Bebe guns will be the only weapon allowed. We the public, Aren’t totally ignorant of their intent or how they operate; We also know that the criminal mind will always find a way to acquire weapons leaving the general public unable to defend themselves if the Second Amendment is tampered with.
I say, Leave the Second Amendment alone.

    • Robert Haseman

      don’t fully agree….. it’s a changing world……need to have security at schools… the perimeter…… hospitals,colleges all have security….  easy to do.

    • landofaahs

As a LEO you should then know that a person with a knife is more dangerous in the near proximity than a person with a concealed gun.  I disagree.  We don’t need more gun laws, we need to keep crazy people locked up. The second amendment was put in place to pretect people from tyrannical govt. and it’s rogue agents.  Laws don’t keep lawbreakers from breaking the law.  Is govt. going to come into our homes and make sure are guns are locked up?  I need my gun at an instant perhaps.  I might not have time to go unlock the safe you idiot.

    • Draxx

I used to be a liason between the Nat’l Guard and the State Police, I was part of a team that coordinated assistance to the Troopers that included; Drug Busts, Public Safety Perimeters, Public Demonstration Security, Property Seizures, Warranted Arrest Support, Cataloging Evidence per Police Investigative Team directives (which many were arsenals held by gangs, drug manufacturers, and hardcore criminals).  But, one thing that came up time and time again was how to reduce this threat, and every time the results/reports stated that Criminals Will Get Firearms/Weapons No Matter What Laws are in Effect… They get them from Foreign Syndicates, Drug Lords, Warlords, Corrupt Gov’ts, Black Market Dealers, and so on…

Taking guns away from millions of RESPONSIBLE Gun Owners, has a Negative Effect on Public Safety.  And I Will Defend My Family At All Costs, I don’t go looking for trouble, but I know trouble has a way of finding people on it’s own!!!

Plus, as a Police Officer you should KNOW that anything can be a weapon to a person that is in panic mode or duress!  So, to say that guns are the Main Problem… Get off your high horse and speak the TRUTH…!

    • Diane Alden

Fine .. then BAN the psychotropic drugs 14 of the last 17 school shooters were on… RESTRICT them .. you TRUST government to do that .. you buddy are part of the problem. Spare me cop scene talk.. my brother is a homicide detective in a major city and has seen it all and he still does not recommend restriction when GOVT. is doing the choosing of whom guns are restricted to. There are a TON of laws on the books ..tons and this stuff still goes on. The problem is not guns its a society that for SOME reason is producing more than its fair share of CRAZY PEOPLE.

    • sparducks

      You’re an idiot.

    • sparducks

Are you an leo from Canada? Just asking. Most americans have a 12ga for home defense. a 9mm for defense outside the home. The ar platform is for sporting purposes and defending their freedom. The AR platform also is very popular for hunting varmints and predators. and in south Texas it is popular for hunting feral hogs. Now lets get down to the ass chewing I’m gonna unleash on your ignorant ass. Our founders did not include the second amendment to protect against deer or bear.( A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the
right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.) Where does it mention hunting in that sentence? The security of a free state is the purpose of a right to bear arms. It’s horrible that this freak of nature was able to shoot and kill those precious kids. Joe Stalin was able to kill 10 million ukranian and russian peasants prior to ww2. What if all those farmers would have had AR platforms at their disposal. You’d better educate yourself on history you moron before you open your piehole. My parents were both alive during this horrific time in world history. Fast forward to the Vietnam war. It’s neighbor Cambodia suffered under the Kmere rouge regime that murdered 2 million civilians in I think 2 years. Get the picture retard? I know it’s a horrifying incident that just happened but mass murder by communists in the millions has occured in our time. Don’t think it cant happen in North america. We don’t have king’s x against tyranny. This guy in office is a tyrant in his black heart. stay in Canada please.

    • sparducks

OH and every red blooded American needs to go out and purchase an AR NOW!!!!!!!!! And as many high capacity magazines and ammo as you can afford. Screw you johnnycanuck88. Go bury your head up in the great white north.

  • landofaahs

The govt. going after guns is the canary in the economic coal mine.  They know the economy is going to downward spiral into a depression at some point and they are frightened sh–less at the thought of angry citizens armed and open eyed about the (Damned Criminals) who lead us there.  I may just move away from it before it happens.  Get ready Cafayate.

HUSSEin-Obama Arms our enemies and disenvows our friends because Hussein-Obama has alway had a vendettta against America he hates America..he is and always been an AntiAmerican Islamist Terrorist! by taking our the Media first…how may people know he as seven wars surrounding Israel and arming those terrorist countries…to destroy “the great satan and the little satan” even tho he himself and buddies of muslim bro’hood are really the Satan.. they all including ‘the left’ follow Lucifer!

  • landofaahs

This morning I hear Joe Pags and this idiot coach who seem to want to give obama the benefit of a doubt.  I will not. EVER.  He has shown too many times he cannot be trusted.  He has only  a couple interests in this situation. (1) steps to further restrict my right of the 2nd amendment (2) Get funding for mental health care paid by taxpayers (3) Raise taxes.  He may have other motives but he sure as hell has these in mind.  It’s sad that Pags and others fall for this crap just like the dumb republicans who fall these lies every time.
I’m turning off Pag.  If Glenn takes the same line, he can pound sand too.

    • SoThere

No one wants to say it so I will: it was the fault of the people in Connecticut and their policies that failed to prevent this terrible incident. They touted their Gun Control Laws and how strict they are to the point of being naive and ignorant to the dangers of the Mentally deranged people who Liberals go to great lengths to protect.

As far as the Assault Weapons ban talk, Columbine happened during the last Assault Weapons ban.

The State of Connecticut failed to prevent this from happening. After Columbine many schools across the nation put in place safety and security protocols but of course Connecticut has the strictest gun laws (5th in the nation) and this tragedy still happened.

As far as Obama and his latest rhetoric is concerned, he leads from behind as usual.

      • landofaahs

Hard to argue with that. The Mayans were wrong. The world will probably not end tomorrow but Americans rights and liberty are ending thanks to the “Little dicktater” in the District of Corruption. But hey, China wants obama to take power and seize our weapons. Just like Mao said; “Political power comes at the point of a gun”. Unarmed ctizens means no political power.
I hope I live long enough to see the liberals given the Mao treatment. Of course I intend to watch it from a foreign TV.

        • Jeffersonian Republican

Actually it is very easy to argue. First of all, it is the fault of the killer not anybody else. For So There to say that it is the fault of the people of Connecticut shows he is more interested in throwing verbal bombs than actually getting to the root of the problem and fixing.

“We must reject the idea that every time a law’s
broken, society is guilty rather than the lawbreaker. It is time to
restore the American precept that each individual is accountable for his
          actions.” –Ronald Reagan

So There goes on to say that Connecticut has the strictest gun laws but then says the “5th in the nation”. Which one is it, the strictest or the 5th? Connecticut maybe more strict then the majority of the states but not the strictest if they obviously are rated the “5th”.

Sadly there was a time when words mattered, now it seems they are meant to be bent and twisted to whatever political ideology one beholds to.

          • landofaahs

One could also say that yes it’s the robbers fault that he robbed my house, however, had I not put a sign in my front yard saying I’m against guns and my house is not protected…well, you can figure that out huh.

          • Guest

Is it safe to presume that you blame Churches when they get vandalized or assaulted because they let it be known publicly that they follow doctrines of peace? Or blame groups like the Amish when the same thing happens to them because somebody else broke the law?

It’s unfortunate that more people do not take the precautions of self-protection more seriously but they are hardly to blame. Even in Texas where the majority proudly exercise their inalienable rights recognized by  the US Constitution these things happen, does the Fort Hood Shooting ring a bell?

Since you seem to believe in the equal sharing of blame, please tell everyone
what state you live in so we can blame you for what crimes are committed there.  After all, what’s good for the goose is good for the gander is it not?

          • landofaahs

There is a difference in a church because the presumption is that it is a place of peace. However, in my church someone is alweays packing. If you put a sign on your butt saying kick me, you can bet your fanny will be sore at the end of the day. Better yet, when you go on vacation next time, put up a sign in your yard saying how return date.
As far as Ft. Hood, that terrorist was sending red flags all over the place and nobody bothered to get rid of him. I don’t blame anyone for the killings except the shooter, but a person can take care to be able to protect themselves in case of an event that could take place. You don’t expect a flat tire on your car, but you carry a spare. its common sense.

obama does infact lead from the front.  he put morsi in power and as nytimes reported, obama was in conversation with muslim brotherhood in week 1 of their egyptian so-called revolution.  hence, he is not saying anything now.  of course, everyone knows muslim brotherhood is far more tyrannical than mubarak ever could be.  apparently, morsi tyranny is a match for those who don’t oppose him and favored ousting mubarak for being loyal to the us to replace him with muslim brotherhood.

  • Obamasucks69

Can someone clear this up? The reports from the start where
the AR-15 was found in the trunk of the car, they said he used 2 hand guns. Now
all of a sudden he used the AR-15 so what is the truth??????????? Did he use
the AR-15 or are these people lying to further a cause, and the AR-15 was found
    in the trunk.

Two Bible Stories to Save the 2nd Amendment-
     1. Luke 22:35-38
Jesus very own words at the Last Supper upper room, Jesus tells all disciples go the next day and “SELL YOUR GARMENT AND GO OUT AND ALL GET A SWORD”
a SWORD BEING THE EQUAL TO MODERN DAY FIREARMS! Not just the 2 swords they had that night, but 100% OF 11 DISCIPLES to GET A SWORD ie FIREARM.
This is JESUS VERY WORDS clearly supporting the same rights in 2nd Amendment which protects our 1st Amendment.
    2. I Samuel 17:40
David & Goliath story, David didn’t use a Sword but used a precursor to the firearm, using a “Sling with 5 smooth stones” a early version of the bullet projectile and he even loaded the “stones in his pouch” which was equal to a modern magazine with 5 shot capacity,
but David easily could have put as much as 15 to 30 stones/rounds in his pouch/magazine for quick reload and fire. He was comfortable in his God’s power to deliver victory and he was confident his skill would not need more than 5 stones/rounds.

This poem was written by Darrell Scott who lost a daughter, Rachel Scott, at Columbine and just recently addressed the House Judiciary Committee’s subcommittee.

Your laws ignore our deepest needs,
    Your words are empty air.
    You’ve stripped away our heritage,
    You’ve outlawed simple prayer.
    Now gunshots fill our classrooms,
    And precious children die.
    You seek for answers everywhere,
    And ask the question “Why?”
    You regulate
    restrictive laws,
    Through legislative creed.
And yet you fail to understand,
That God is what we need!

Please read Mr. Scott’s full statement before the Committee, it’s not long but says so much.

    FLASHBACK TO 17 September 2008 – 4 YEARS AGO

Reader: It’s Time to Suspend Constitution, Declare Martial Law
Posted on NASHVILLE SCENE by Pete Kotz on Wed, Sep 17, 2008 at 12:45 PM

According to Reesor, this could solve a lot of things. When we last left James Reesor, he was advocating the creation of Amerijericho, a Christian oasis in Tennessee and the surrounding 10 states that would provide sanctuary against the weirdness that is regular America. The new homeland would be something akin to an Amish community, concentrated on the precepts of “servitude” and “humility.” But it seems America’s latest death spiral is a bit too alarming for Reesor to wait any longer. He says drastic action must be taken:

The American government is too broke to fix. President Bush should call a special session of Congress to suspend the Constitution and declare Martial Law! The presidential campaigns should be stopped immediately. All political leaders, including the media, should be prevented from expressing “partisan” viewpoints. All Americans must be given the facts about the potential for further erosion of the economy, reduction in security, energy and food supplies. Amerijericho concepts that I introduced years ago have not been taken seriously and so establishing a sanctuary from chaos will be almost impossible at this late date. Therefore, I recommend the establishment of a “Crisis Management Advisory Council” composed of Obama, Biden, McCain, Palin and dozens of their handpicked associates, rather than electing anyone to replace the current administration. America needs all the help it can get! Coming world events will overcome the existing systems unless the government moves quickly to avoid a calamity! James Reesor
