You really need to learn how to think logically.  Fist, three words at the end of the 2nd Amendment are “shall not be infringed” are very explicit.  You have to rewrite the dictionary to change their meaning.   Second, no little kids have been “machine gun”.  Get your facts right.  Third, the laws that make it a “gun free zone” turned a 1st grade classroom into a meat grinder.  You want to point to the tragedy that happened, but no one wants to talk about the tragedy that didn’t happen BECAUSE there was an armed citizen that prevented it.  Do some real research.  When no opposing gun is on the scene the death toll is high.  And for your info, just in case it has flown over your head, all these shootings have been committed by people who DISOBEYED the law.  So do you really think more laws are going to stop it? Chicago with its tough gun laws for decades lis one of the leading cities in the nation in homicides and gun violence.

I just finished reading them, and yes there is the ban of military grade firearms and high capacity magazine.  However I will say if i’m honest there are actually a few good things in here particularly the stuff for mental health, research and schools.

Of course that’s what needs to be discussed. Handguns for some people are ok, but no one needs weapons of war like assault rifles or explosives. I’m sure reasonable people can agree, but saying a housewife should be able to buy live hand grenades is silly. I personally would lead toward no guns at all, but that’s extreme, and I’m willing to compromise, as is President Obama. But saying that grenades and large capacity clips are ok for civilians is just as extreme.

The question is not whether I would protect my life with any of those things. The question is would any of those things be effective? You can’t imagine what would happen if I used a hand grenade on someone who was attacking me physically. Blowing myself up just to get the bad guy isn’t really worth it.

Yes, you must be able to defend yourself, but that right must be balanced with the rights of others not to have someone show up at their school with an AK-47. Compare the odds that I will wake up and the government will have turned fascist with the odds that some madman will get ahold of an assault rifle and kill a bunch of kids.
