Daily Show creator politicizes tornado, quickly apologizes

Get Glenn Live! On TheBlaze TV

With 24 confirmed dead, many missing, and well over one hundred missing, the tornado in Oklahoma seems to tragic of an incident to politicize.

Unfortunately there are some on Twitter who disagree.

One of these individuals is creator of the Daily Show Lizz Winstead, who took to Twitter yesterday to say, “This tornado is in Oklahoma so clearly it has been ordered to only target conservatives.” Many who came across the message were rightfully outraged, however, there is a catch. Winstead made the insensitive statement before the devastation of the storm was know. Once the seriousness of what took place in Moore, OK came to light, Winstead quickly took back to twitter to apologize and own up to the moronic comment.

While Lizz Winstead might not be the brightest crayon in the box, the intent of the tweet does not appear to be malicious.

Following her apology, which included #LetMeHaveIt, many did just that. Glenn however, wasn’t so quick to “cast the first stone.”

This morning on radio, Glenn, Pat and Stu discussed the comment further.

“Obviously this is not a break that anyone on the left would ever give you,” Stu pointed out. “The would never attempt to understand what happened.”

“Not in a million years,” Pat added.

We all have said something we regret in hindsight, so I forgive her…

But, I will NOT for her being an Obamanite, Liberal, that will help enslave Americans!

How many times has Glenn sucked on the cock of bad taste and unfunny humor? certainly more than Lizz Winstead

Well she had one of those foot in mouth moments that we all do. At least she knew it was in bad taste.

I’ll give them credit this time for admitting to being wrong: so long as they learn from it and do not repeat it. Good for her.

she is not an idiot…she knew very well what she was doing….common use of the blonde card..

The point was obvious since she meant it as a criticism of the occasional pastor who claims natural disasters are a result of homosexuality or some other thing.  The method used to criticize them though just wasn’t tasteful.

Did she just tink the tornado would go through OKC without causing devestation?  I knew there was going to be casualties before it was reported so I think that was a lame excuse.

Too bad that some people jump at making comments before disaster really strikes. The comment by Liz was in bad taste because of the potential of such devastating disaster before it even happened.

Just wondering if she gave Mitt Romney the same latitude about his comments surrounding Benghazi.  Or would she have been one of those that “piled on” suggesting it was irresponsible of him to speak before he knew the full facts??

Glenn, a response in True CLASS and Understanding! I applaud you sir!

I live in Oklahoma and don’t appreciate the comment from Winstead, but I think her insensitivity is less than newsworthy at this point. Lives and livelihoods have been lost and to what extent has yet to be determined. Why are we discussing the tweet of a socially inept former person of interest? With all that is going on in this country, this is not a slow news day. Also, you might want to hire someone to proofread before you post your articles. The first paragraph is less than professional in quality.

Lizz is one of a few chosen few that have a place in the tribe to magnify and voice a truthful opinion.
We should pile on if this becomes a pattern of enlarging left winged stupidity that people intrust her status in believing that she is a truthful leader or conduit of facts-news.

If the media wasn’t publicizing her tweet, would anyone truly care or even for the majority even know what she said. She may be on of the “few chosen few,” but until today, I didn’t know she existed.

MY elderly Parents only know script readers on MSNBC or ABC. Rarely do they get the truth and nothing but the truth. If, a tree falls in a depressant forest-avoid of human ears…does the tree still make a sound. If, we fail to pile on those whom read scripts of mad men or especially, chosen few that even if WE don’t hear them WE must be smart enough knowing our children or Parents might be in the forest that WE never visit or perhaps live in or believe in. In this regard I view Lizz as an unknown talent-but an acknowledged star in this article…with a right to judge her criminal heart and further judge her because of her chosen accepted star roll in the tribe.

What did Glenn Beck NOT mention from yesterday? Glenn Beck dedicated his opening monologue last night to discussing the IRS scandal during which he highlighted a story from his own The Blaze website entitled “Is This the ‘Smoking Gun’ That Ties the IRS Scandal to the White House?”
Citing the story, Beck raised questions about why the president of the IRS employee’s union was at the White House the day before the IRS implemented the policy supposedly targeting conservative groups.
“Is that a coincidence?” Beck asked. “I don’t know if we’re going to find out because the damage control has already begun. [The White House] just released a statement denying that Kelly even met with the President or the First Lady; quote ‘President Kelly did not have any direct contact – key word there, ‘direct’ – with the President or the First Lady.’ Okay. What were you doing there?”
If Beck had bothered to even read the very story he was citing, he would have found the answer to his question of what Kelly was doing there:

First, Kelley visiting the White House in March of 2010 is not in of itself an extraordinary event. Indeed, according to Visitor Logs, she had already met with President Obama on a few occasions.
Second, we must point out that 117 “total people” were present at the 2010 White House forum on “Workplace Flexibility,” which the log lists as the reason for the visit. To be fair, that seems to point to a larger event as opposed to Kelley meeting with Obama behind closed doors.
Third, according to visitor records, the 2010 forum was held in the White House’s South Court Auditorium, which as former White House communications worker Josh King points out, is simply a large auditorium.
“On most days, South Court Auditorium is a generic, stadium-style meeting room with four or five rows of seats; space in the back of the room for cameras sitting on tripods; a small buffer area in front of the stage for still photographers to capture the key moment; and handy backstage doors for easy ingress and egress by the principals,” King explains.
Not exactly top-secret, private meeting material here.

Glenn Beck: ignorant about what’s on his own Blaze!

She is learning how seriously we take the safety of our children.

I wonder how her Twitter followers would have reacted if she had joked about how Kermit Gosnell only snipped the heads off of conservative babies?.

Why can’t tornadoes hit the white house and Washington D.C. and wipe out all the stinking moslem shit that’s ruining the country.
