Out of touch? Obama forgets Moore, Ok

Get Glenn Live! On TheBlaze TV

President Obama spoke in New Jersey and botched the name of Moore, OK by referring to it as Monroe, OK. If this happened to George W Bush the press would have hammered him for being out of touch- unsurprisingly Obama got a pass. Glenn had more on radio this morning.

  • Anonymous

Its not President Obama’s fault. It is the fault of his handlers that typed Monroe into his teleprompter. If they would have typed “I hate white people” into the teleprompter, we would have heard him say that too. This President is so inept, he has not one original thought in his affirmative action brain.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ff8jDkOHp3U Sam Fisher

I would pay a million dollars to get a hold of that teleprompter.

The matter of media hypocrisy is manifest every time Obama speaks; and yes, he can do no wrong before most of them (this may be changing though) and targeted conservatives across the board are ‘can do no right.’

Hypocrisy at its worst, and at its most visible, among the ideologically hide-bound of the Democrat Socialists.

Tested TRUE some things never change at least in the last 5 yr’s .

Liberals always view things as props to be used and discarded at will.

They would have got the name correct if there had been an abortion clinic there.

Oh if only tornadoes would swoop in and ‘vacuum’ the America clean of democrats, moslems, and that Kenyan bastard in the white house.  The moslem son of a bitch.

  • Anonymous

While it may be appalling that BHO has no idea what the tornado devastated town he just visited is named, it is not surprising. After all, he also has no idea what at least half the high officials in his government have done in the last 2 years. What is more, he doesn’t care. As long as he doesn’t miss a tee time, what the rest of his administration does isn’t important enough to  attract his attention. And why should he care about Moore? They are just a bunch of Midwestern hicks who aren’t anywhere near important enough for him to pay attention. Why, they probably didn’t even vote for him. The only people that are important enough for him to notice live in California, Chicago and the east coast. The rest of us are wretched peasants who had better bow down and eat dirt when he glances our way.

Ummm….well maybe he meant Monroe in the 57th state of Ok.

Not so – he is soooo busy doing absolutely nothing that he just didn’t have time to get it right.  I am sorry that the ones suffering in Oklahoma are forgotten by the White House – imagine how Chris Stevens felt when he got no help at all!!  And the three other young men who were killed for nothing.  That was a give me for Obama to his muslim brothers.

Very good one – I would vote for that.  (As a Republican) of course.

it was probably wrong/right in the prompter, meaning they/he wanted him to say “monroe.”  not a slip.  there’s a message in there.

the other day bho failed to salute while greeting a soldier.

Ben_Franklin is right, it’s not President Obama’s fault. But instead of the reason he gave the fact may be that whoever it was who typed the wrong name in the teleprompter might be having “Duck Dynasty’ withdrawl. Seeing as the show is out of Monroe, Lousiana. Or it just may be that terrible weather is hitting so many places these days that the planet is turning OMG.

Face it fiolks,If Obama had the technology to send a category 5 Tornado into every red state to eliminate any opposition that he had,,He’d do it in a hot minute

Let’s face it.  He pronounced the “p” in corpsman.  He gets the other names wrong constantly.  Ergo, he’s not too bright.  But he is consistently anti-American.

Obama had his photo op and then he’s off on the campaign trail again. Someone should tell him the election’s over and he needs to go back to work lying to the country. It’s what he does best.

Obama will go down as the most corrupt President in US History.

  • landofaahs

Thank You. We are making progress with you liberal idiots. At least now you know God is control of even the weather and that it has nothing to do with man-made global warming. You’re making progress albeit slowly.

  • Anonymous

What makes you think I’m liberal? Because I said something you don’t like? Because it gives you a convenient chance to be a prick? Because it makes you smile to be closed minded and judgmental?
You don’t have to be liberal to:
    Subscribe to global warming
    Not believe in a god
Point out the hypocrisy of people praying to the same supernatural imaginary being that they claim both creates the weather that destroys peoples lives and helps them recover.

All you need is to be reasonable and have a sense of critical thinking.

Still, if that’s how you want to play it, show me your god exists. Give me some kind of demonstrable proof.
Better, smarter people than you have tried and failed.

  • SRM29

God doesn’t cause bad things to happen, that would be satan. God only allows it when it fits the big picture, a picture that humans can not comprehend.

  • Anonymous

Really? Are you really going to- *rolls eyes*
That’s just way too easy. I can even get away with just pasting this response.

Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent. Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent. Is he both able and willing? Then whence cometh evil? Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?
    ~ Epicurus [341–270 B.C.]

Congrats. Your god is an immoral monster.

  • SRM29

“Still, if that’s how you want to play it, show me your god exists. Give me some kind of demonstrable proof.”

It doesn’t work that way. Your mind is already made up and you have no desire to even try understanding what we believe and why. Classic atheist, mock our belief in God and call us stupid.

  • Anonymous

No. Not at all. I could be convinced with some evidence.
Is that too much to ask? And if so, why is that outside of the power of your god?You know – much in the same way you’d likely ask someone to prove that their god was the one true god.If a Muslim said they knew they were right and that you are wrong, would it be unreasonable of you to ask them to demonstrate how?

  • Anonymous

So in other words, you approve of the deaths of hundreds of millions of people so long as they don’t subscribe to the same political ideology that you do?

  • landofaahs

First of all, I put atheists in the same category as liberals because they most likely are that thing God calls those who do not believe there is a God.
To your other comment about hypocrisy, there are 2 types of people, Christians and non-Christians. The Christian knows that when they die that they are with the Lord which is far better than anything here on earth. The non-Christian is sent to his/her judgment. Yet it is our nature to fear death. It is good to a certain point because it helps prevent us from doing the stupid things like jumping off of tall buildings while expecting no adverse consequences. I know your next question will be “then why don’t you kill yourselves and be with your God?” I will answer before asked. We Christians are called to do his work in his vineyard until his return. We put all the timing in his hands. With that said, we do pray that God delivers us from the harms of life on this earth for the benefit that we may still have our loved one’s with us for one example. There are times though when suffering terminal illness that we ask God to strengthen them and uphold them through his mercy.
To your point of demonstrable proof, I give you none. But one day you will have all you need. Of course by then it will be too late. The wind blows where it wills and I only testify to what I am called. It is not my job to save you, that is Gods. I have come to the conclusion years ago that ignorance is many times invincible when it is deliberate. Have a good day.

  • SRM29

It isn’t outside His power, He just isn’t going to. God wants us to love Him and choose Him because we love Him, not the world’s immorality and sin. If God just jumped out for all to see, it wouldn’t be a choice. We believe because we have faith.
Bad things happening often brings people closer to God. And overcoming huge obstacles often lead people to Him. I know by experience. God isn’t a malevolent monster. He gives everyone a chance, it’s their choice if they refuse. I would advise you to read the Bible cover to cover. I’ll pray for you.

  • Anonymous

Uh huh. So if you can’t give me some evidence, why should anyone believe? Why are you xtian instead of some other religion with equally improbable and improvable beliefs?

And by the way, your bible does indeed say that you are supposed to proselytize. It is indeed your job to spread xtianity and convert people. Here is but one example.
“Matthew 28:19: Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”

You even said yourself that you are “called to do his work in his vineyard until his return.”

Yeah, so nice work not following your own religion and beliefs. Have a good day.

  • Anonymous

I have read the bible many times. It’s a book about the failings of a supernatural monster and how he punishes man for his own failings.
But hey, thanks for being so judgmental as to assume I hadn’t read it.

Make up whatever excuse you want. I won’t pretend to be able to change your mind. I just hope some day you’ll find reason. I’ll think for you.

  • landofaahs

Common sense and the heavens themselves declare that there must be an eternal creator, for if not then tell me smarty pants. What was the first thing to exist and how did it get here? Please don’t ask me to believe that matter was always here and it is eternal, that is too much a stretch of faith.
As far as make disciples of all men means to spread the gospel, not force them. If the refuse the gospel, then leave that city and wipe the dust from off of your feet. Yes we continue sending missionaries all over the world. What did I say that did not indicate that I was. Is it that you just want to argue? You have a mental problem in that at one time you mock the thought of God and yet need someone to try and convince you of his existence. If you’re not liberal then you are at least as insane as one. Make up your mind. Have a good life. )))))

  • Anonymous

Riiiiight. Because if you don’t know the answer to something, then it must have been god, right? Yeah, that’s real smart and mature. I suppose the response of “I don’t know” is beyond your mental faculties?
Just because we don’t know what happened before the Big Bang must mean it was a 40 foot tall invisible magic sky man with flowing white hair who is overly concerned about our sex lives. Yeah, that makes sense.
And if that’s how you want to approach things, how is that any different than declaring the universe was created by a cosmic glowing purple dildo that shoots ranch dressing?

Common sense is not believing in something unless there is evidence for it. Otherwise your claim of god is equally valid as the aforementioned sex toy, allah, unicorns, dragons, etc.

And the contingency of evidence of something before subscribing to it is a mental problem in the same way that you don’t believe in unicorns and would likely refute such claims if someone swore them to exist without providing evidence.

But I should not be surprised that this concept is lost on you. Or it is likely to hurt your head if you had to think about it.

  • landofaahs

What did I not know the answer to? If you don’t what happened before the big bang, why are you so sure there is not a God? I think you let it out when you revealed you anger at him for “overly concerned about our sex lives”. That explains everything you deviant.

  • Anonymous

“What did I not know the answer to?”

    This…

“What was the first thing to exist and how did it get here?”

And I didn’t say there is not a god. I said there’s no reason to believe in one.

“I think you let it out when you revealed you anger at him for ‘overly concerned about our sex lives’.

Really? Then why are xtians typically so concerned about abstinence, homosexuality, sex before marriage, sodomy, masturbation, and birth control?
Last I checked, they pointed at “god” and the boibel as the impetus for their outrage at what other consenting adults do in the privacy of their own homes.
    How am I wrong?

And yes, being logical and forcing you to face the absurdities of your religion clearly makes me a deviant. Bravo. You found me out. *rolls eyes*

  • landofaahs

I was the one who asked the question you idiot. By believing in the Christian God I say the first thing to exist is God who is eternal and had no beginning and thus no end. The whole point was that you cannot answer it. One can neither prove any other idea of how the beginning was.
Now to your point that you didn’t say there was not a God. State clearly if you believe in God or not and which God that is. For if you believe there is a God then it would only be common sense that we would heed the words HE has for us. If we ignore his words and decide for ourselves, then we declare ourselves God. That is my point. There is no such thing as an atheist, only a lazy person wanting to be God himself. As far as “doing your own thing”, go ahead. Who’s stopping you? You answer to God not me. But I have the right to judge it as deviant since you have just proven in your statement the right to judge me. But the real judgment is coming.

  • landofaahs

How do you prove that love and hate exist? You cannot tell what is in a persons mind or being. How can you therefore prove that love and hate exist as an emotion? You can only talk through your own experience and you cannot transfer that into the realm of fact even though you know it exists.
The only ways that we can prove their existence is by it’s effects. Love by the acts people perform on behalf of others. Hate by the taking of your fellow man’s property or his /her life itself. Just so, God’s proof of existence lies in his creation and it’s awesomeness, to those who do not have the spirit in them. The universe is your proof. But you can deny it as not proof at all, just as people can deny the existence of love even though the examples are in front of them. They can mistake love as something for which it is not, that thing called lust.
Please go argue with yourself you problem child. Please go and seek some mental help. Perhaps it is covered under Obama-care. I would take you as a patient but I only deal with cases where there is a possibility of improvement. LOL

I know you posed the question to me, but my point is you don’t know either. You may believe, but that’s now the same as knowing.

I don’t know if there is a god and I see no logical, rational reason to believe in one. Nor do I believe myself to be a god.
An atheist is someone who does not believe in a god or creator being. That’s it. That’s all there is to it. But if it helps you feel better about being a hateful, judgmental, spiteful person by calling them names and making blind, ignorant assertions about them, then I can’t stop you. Doesn’t sound very christ-like, but then again, most xtians are not.

No one is stopping me from doing my own thing. Sometimes, however, crazy right-wing xtian fascists seek to subject others to their beliefs and rules based on the superstitious belief that there’s an invisible magic sky man – for which there is no evidence – who is going to send you to be tortured in some made up ghostly afterlife if you don’t kiss his ass.

If a muslim were trying to legislate their religious views on you, I’d be you throw a tantrum and go on a shooting spree.

By the way, you are an atheist in respect to every belief you do not subscribe to. So I guess that makes you a deviant, too.

  • Anonymous

I can demonstrate my feelings therefore I can show they exist.
How do you prove love and hate exist?

You can only talk through your own experience and you cannot transfer that into the realm of fact even though you know it exists.

Oh, the solipsism argument. Yeah, like that helps you?
Thanks! You just gave further evidence that there’s no reason to believe in your god. If “god” is a subjective, personal experience, then there’s no reason to believe you when you claim it exists. It also means that it is up to your god to demonstrate it exists, as there is no external, objective method to prove it.

“Just so, God’s proof of existence lies in his creation and it’s awesomeness, to those who do not have the spirit in them.”

Umm, no! That proves nothing. It proves “god” exists just as much as it proves magical fairies and unicorns exist.
Clearly you don’t know the difference between proof and knowledge, and belief and assertion. Try reading up on those. It might help you make more sense.

“They can mistake love as something for which it is not, that thing called lust.”

Yes, people can mistake the two, but that doesn’t prove anything about your god. They also both have very clear definitions, and people who do not believe in god can feel both, distinguish both, and separate the two.
    What’s your point?

  • landofaahs

It’s why I don’t care to converse with you, because you don’t listen. You are just puking up diatribe baggage from your other encounters. You have proven to yourself that you are right and that’s your business. Enjoy your life and death.

  • SickOf BeingCoddled

And this fits with Glenn’s repeated impassioned plea for us to love our enemies and stop the name calling, how?

  • SickOf BeingCoddled

God is bound in this world by the laws of his universe by which he organized this planet and its inhabitants. The laws of nature and the elements are governed by Gods universal law. choices which we make have natural consequences and influence on the elements and each other. God does not “create” your actions or the actions of the elements. He created the elements and creatures, but they act and react as they choose or dictated by their nature.
