George Zimmerman found not guilty in shooting of Trayvon Martin

George Zimmerman is not guilty in the shooting of Trayvon Martin, a Florida jury decided Saturday night. The ruling comes after an intense investigation that lasted over a year and a trial that inflamed debate over gun rights and race.

The jury consisted of six women, who found that there was reasonable doubt to acquit Zimmerman of manslaughter and second degree murder.

This is a breaking news story and TheBlaze has more details on the Zimmerman verdict.

For all you calling the MSM race baiters I want you to know that right now fox for no reason are showing a video of black panthers outside the courthouse

  • Anonymous

Sean Hannity is currently giving Zimmerman the sloppy blow job he promised in exchange for the exclusive interview

  • daryle47

I am happy for the decision that was made.  God forbid that I would ever need to defend myself or family.  I now rest a little easy .Pray for both families.

  • Anonymous

Perhaps the purpose for showing a video of black panthers outside the courthouse is to simply…let people know that there are in fact black panthers outside of the courthouse.  It’s just a video.  I wonder why you even have any emotional investment.  Had Trayvon Martin been white nobody would have cared.  It wouldn’t have been national news.  In fact, I’m just pissed off that there was so much coverage of one damn trial.  Why should I care more about this murder trial than any other murder trial that has ever happened?  Why are people paying so much attention to it?  It has no social significance to us.  The incident that took place had nothing to do with race at all.

My last sentence above…if you refute it, it would make you a race baiter by definition.

  • Pamela Peltonen

The incident had nothing to do with race, but the media fiasco had everything to do with race baiting.

  • ken.

for your information all the other networks ( all left wing ) showed the footage also, even more then fox.

  • Anonymous

God forbid you ever hunt and kill a black kid

  • Anonymous

Yes, the media fiasco from everywhere BUT Fox News and The Blaze.

  • Anonymous

And if Zimmerman was “hunting” Martin, as you falsely claim, your statement here wouldn’t be patently moronic.  You act as though you were on the jury and actually know something, instead of being you and knowing nothing.

  • Smug

defend your family?? A unarmed teen lost his life and this killer walks free. There’s more value for the life dogs than blacks.

  • daryle47

    Smug and Genzod,

You really show your bias.  To you very thing is about the color of someone skin.  I teach math in a inner-city school.  I love my job.  95% of the kids are great.  5% are not so great.  I deal with students bring guns and knives to school every year.  Life is not precious to these children.  They live in a world without dad’s and look to gangs for guidance.  They provide great roll models.  They drown a boy and made his brother to watch.  I live in Hawaii therefore it is not about being black.  My wife has asked me not to teach at the school because she fears for my safety.  I teach there for the 95%.  When you learn to love others life in simple.

Our society thrives on the spectacle. We attach meaning and significance to events and incidents that seem to embody broader social issues. The event, the spectacle, becomes a terrain where cultural battles are waged, for better or worse. Sandy Hook is a great example. People of all ideological stripes get worked up and dig their heels in and, ultimately, nothing happens and we move on to the next spectacle. You don’t have to care about it. But the fact that where someone stood on this case is indicative of their political outlook, and the fact that so many people want to make it about race and so many deny race had anything to do with it, is, in the least, significant.

“Had Trayvon Martin been white nobody would have cared.” Your hypothetical can go in so many directions. What makes you think the police would not have acted differently? And we can make new hypotheticals: What if Martin had been white and Zimmerman black? What if Zimmerman would have been the one killed? What if Martin had killed him with his (Martin’s) own gun and then put on trial for 2nd degree murder? Would not Fox and the Blaze be supporting the ‘brave neighborhood watchmen who lost his life in pursuit of protecting the community?’

Personally, I don’t think Zimmerman targeted Martin because he was black. But being black and wearing a hoody at night, especially in a neighborhood that has recently experienced a wave of crime, especially in a community not predominantly black, comes, sadly, with its own cultural baggage and cultural history. You can’t deny the decades of juridical injustices suffered by black Americans at the hands of white cops, white judges, white lawmakers, and white communities, etc. We have not escaped from that legacy. Don’t be fooled by the ‘victories’ of identity politics. Just because minorities are more visible, whether in the halls of congress or on your local city council or congress, doesn’t mean there has been a significant and positive redistribution of power in our society. White men are still in power. The gap between the highest and lowest earners in this country has never been greater.

Americans, myself included, are distracted by the spectacles while private and fed forces collude to rob the country blind.

    True Dat

  • Anonymous

The truth is blacks do rob and murder more than whites, whites cannot walk in a black neighborhood without fear.  Those are the facts, like it or not.

  • Anonymous

That is fucking bullshit. Blacks have more rights nowadays than whites. Zimmerman would have been free if Obama and the Florida governor hadn’t forced the cops to re-arrest him after he was confirmed innocent. They did that because he wasn’t black, and everyone who isn’t black is obviously racist. Also Martin tried to bash Zimmerman’s head on the concrete sidewalk. If someone did that to you would you consider them unarmed? Also Zimmerman was NOT stalking him, he was following him because he was the guard for the nieborhood and Martin was acting suspiciously. Martin was the one who was racist: he called Zimmerman “Cracker” on the phone to his girlfriend. Zimmerman was protecting his life and you know it, you son of a bitch!

  • Anonymous

I agree. Thank God for the verdict on this case.

  • Anonymous

Wow, I’ve never seen more long-winded bullshit in one place at one time in my entire life.  The color of each man is completely irrelevant.  Trayvon Martin deserves no more attention or sympathy than any other murder victim in history.  The fact remains that THE VERY FACT THAT THIS TRIAL RECEIVED SO MUCH MEDIA ATTENTION IS A TRAVESTY!   Your above rant sounds just like all of the media hounds, all of the Al Sharptons and Jesse Jacksons.  This isn’t the assassination of Martin Luther King Jr, or Medgar Evers.  This is something of no political or social significance.  None!  By the way Zimmerman is Latino, NOT WHITE!

  • Anonymous

Did you pay attention to ANY of the evidence from the trial?  The 911 voice being Zimmerman’s, the bruises, oh wait, you only want to talk about the bag of skittles in Martin’s pocket and his skin color, things that are SOOOO relevant.

On his program today, Huckabee said if the media kept referring
to Zimmerman as ”white Hispanic” (when he’s half of each) then, they should be consistent and refer to Obama as ”half black.”  Guess they couldn’t/wouldn’t say ”mixed race.”

Dont count social justice out just yet, the Attorney General will probablybe bringing civil rights charges. The haters will have their lynching yet. Racism is alive and well in our country. Its just changed colors.

Why are they out there? You dont think that is news? Why were justice dept. people out there before the trial poseing as protesters while being paid by the justice dept. There is news to be found in the background as well as in the trial itself. A lot of peoples bread and butter are made race bateing. Thats newswothy

Who cares, bert?  Why the media cares and others (who remain unnamed).  How else can one have a race war if there
is no racism?  It was Trayvon who used a racist expression on
Zimmerman.  Z. referred to the person he was following as ”a
punk.”  He didn’t ID the race until asked by a 911 operator.
Heard on news today, that ”the FBI could not find anything to
link Z. to racism.”  (I paraphrase.) It’s been reported that Z.
mentored black youths.  At what, I don’t know.

  • Keith Howard

I was just saying somthing similar to my friend. Killings like this happen all the time. But its serves a lot of peoples purpuses to blow this one up. MSMBC needs rateings badly, Pres. Obama needs the distraction from the IRS,the Bingazi, the NSA, and Holderman scandals. The NAACP needs this for fund raising. Its usefull to all kinds of people. the show must go on! Act 2 is about to start. Holerman will likely be chargeing civil right violations on Zimmerman next.

  • Keith Howard

Its because of the breakup of the family unit. No good male role models for the kids in many black families. A 6 foot teen isnt worried about his mom wooping his ass if he steps out of line. And he rarely see a man doing the right thing, because there is no man there. This baby-mama crap needs to end, and black men need to step up and be real men to their children. we all need to do that.

  • Keith Howard

He would have probably been shot dead. right or wrong, you start shooting at cops, you are probably going to get shot back at. But that has nothing to do with this instance. Lets face it, the young man came in with an attitude(cracker remark), pushed things too far and it ended badly for both of them. One dead and the other’s life ruined. the moral of this is to walk away from trouble when you can. If either party had done that, everyone would have been better off.

  • Night

This is my first time commenting on here but I think that no matter how you spin it, this tragedy resulted in the loss of a young life that could have been avoided if both individuals would have just walked away to begin with.

I just want some REAL news when I turn on a news channel.  Not more crap about this.  I’m never really too intrigued by true crime stories.  Just like Jody Arias, even back to O.J. Now The Federal Government is Completely Disregarding the “Double Jeopardy” Laws, that state a person CANNOT Be Tried Twice or More for the SAME Crime.  He has been Acquited at the State Level (State Supreme Courts), how can the Fed Gov’t Legally have Another Trial for the SAME Crime???

WASHINGTON (AP) — The Justice Department said Sunday it is looking into the shooting death of Trayvon Martin to determine whether federal prosecutors will file criminal civil rights charges now that George Zimmerman has been acquitted in the state case.

Trayvon Thug, gangsta with racist hate in his heart viciously  attacked, with his “fists” FISTS are DEADLY WEAPONS, to beat Zimmerman to death. Blacks are always irrational, have no thinking capacity of reason and logic,   won’t take responsibility for cultural “Unregulated” behaviors of a vicious  Culture of Violence and Racist hate Towards  the “Cracker”, It was Martin who acted unlawfully by brutally attacking Zimmerman. More citizens must and should be armed to protect themselves from out of control Blacks who want to target whites. All the burglaries over that past 14 months were from “Blacks” in that neighborhood, That’s who the usual suspects will always be, Blacks should stop committing such heinous crime against society. These are the ugly facts and statistics speak volumes.  We are sick of black terrorist behavior, rioting, mayhem, anarchy, flash Mobs, these is just terrorism wrought upon society.

  • Anonymous

Another racist “dunce” bringing up masturbating, you are the degenerate, not one logical thought, Is it your low IQ speaking? Why are blacks so violent and out of control? They have committed hundreds of thousands of violent crimes, and murders, dwarfing  ALL acts of Muslim terrorism against the U.S, All the dead bodies and carnage as a result of the blacks since the early 60′s . They owe society an apology for the destruction and uncivilized behaviors.

When a child under 18 engages in criminal activity of an adult such as using his strong body and fists with the intent to seriously harm another; it is no longer an issue of a child, but a crime of assault at any age.  Had Trayvon not been shot, he would have been in handcufffs for the beating he gave Zimmerman, not Zimmerman.  It was Trayvon that made the choice to use force at all.  If he were older, he may not have made the same choice.  But he, not Zimmerman, made this choice after sizing up Zimmerman, because he thought he could take him.

There are several photos on the internet not allowed by the State in defense, featuring Trayvon. that put a lttle more light on his real personality.

But if the KKK was out their protesting a guilty charge you liberals would be all over it so spare me the bull. The Black panther’s is just as racist.

  • http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=htXuNPBko3Q Sam Fisher

Well I thought that would happen they did not have evidence
to support their charges and there is no way to prove he was being racist
hunting Martin or even wanting to shoot him. But this is real evidence that MSNBC
wants race relations to go back to the 40s.

One thing I can say about this whole tragedy . . . Conservatives should not expect respect and fairness from the Black community in the next cycle of elections. If you trash a kid after being murdered its not a good sign of humanity and peace. The black community is not stupid and this will cost the GOP even more votes. So, write it down, conservatives gun-loving folks are done with these Americans and if you don’t care now, you will care in 2016 and beyond. Take my word for it!

    “Dr. David Banner:
physician; scientist. Searching for a way to tap into the hidden strengths that
all humans have. Then an accidental
overdose of gamma radiation alters his body chemistry. And now when David
Banner grows angry or outraged, a startling metamorphosis occurs. The creature
is driven by rage and pursued by an investigative reporter. [Banner:]
“Mr. McGee, don’t make me angry.
You wouldn’t like me when I’m angry.” The creature is wanted for a murder
he didn’t commit. David Banner is believed to be dead, and he must let the
world think that he is dead, until he can find a way to control the raging spirit that dwells within him.”

In this quote from the beginning credits from
the 1980’s television show “The Incredible Hulk” we can find similarities in
the George Zimmerman vs. Trayvon legal case. The accidental “overdose of gamma radiation” is equivalent
to the racial tension heighten and exaggerated by the main stream media (to
raise their revenue), civil leaders to include Rev. Al Sharpton, Rev. Jesse
Jackson, the New Black Panthers, The President, and all other groups who want a
    distorted view of justice.

       The “angry
or outraged, a startling metamorphosis occurs.” is equivalent to political
correctness that is dividing country along racial lines that will only lead to
more crimes as the “flames of hatred” are fanned by people for mentioned in my
    short analysis on this subject.

“The “creature is driven by rage and pursued
by an investigative reporter.” This represents
revenge, not justice or equal rights, but revenge because the outcome of the
case did not suit the losing party idea of justice. The President said during
his 2012 re-election campaign “Vote for revenge.”  On 5 Nov. 2012 The President was quoted as
saying: “On Friday, President Barack Obama told his supporters at a campaign rally
    – inside a public high school, no less – to vote for revenge!”( http://chicago.cbslocal.com/2012/11/05)
I hope the President did not mean use revenge to circumvent the law.

“Mr. McGee, don’t make me angry. You wouldn’t
like me when I’m angry.” The creature is wanted for a murder he didn’t
    commit” The only angry person
in the George Zimmerman vs. Trayvon legal case is the mob mentality that wants vigilantly
justice. This while at the time, the DOJ Eric Holder, does nothing to stop the
mob from fulfilling its goal of seeing George Zimmerman sent to jail for crime
he was acquitted of by jury of his peers.

       The” control
the raging spirit that dwells within him.” The ‘raging spirit” dwells in
all of us as long as we cannot see beyond skin color or race; racism will never
go away until all sides stop the violence and start talking.

Sorry for replying to my own post, but I just wanted to say something. I believe in the right to bear arms and defending yourself, but from everything I saw in this case this wasn’t about simple self defense and Zimmerman put the ball into motion by following Martin when he suspected him of doing something. This right here to me should have thrown self defense out the window because Zimmerman put himself in the situation to be attacked. It wasn’t as if he was just walking and minding his own business and some kid came out of nowhere and just attacked him for no reason. He saw someone suspicious and followed him. Who knows what Martin thought. Maybe Martin was some wanna been street thug casing homes. None of that matters because all of this could have been avoided if Zimmerman would have stayed put.

  • Night

I believe in the right to defend yourself and bear arms, but with this case I’m not too sure and I only say that because I don’t see this as a simple case of a man defending himself from an unprovoked attack. On Wiki it said that Zimmerman saw someone he didn’t recognize and called a non emergency police line and that Martin came towards his car and he rolled up the window to avoid confrontation and that’s fine, but then he said Martin ran and he got out of his car to see where he went and followed him and the dispatcher told him he didn’t need to follow him and then as he was walking back to his car Martin confronted him and attacked him and Zimmerman ended up shooting Martin at close range. Now I’m not a lawyer and I don’t really even know the law that well, but how can this be simple self defense when he put himself in that situation?
