Carney again refers to scandals as ‘pretend’ in confrontational MSNBC interview

Get Glenn Live! On TheBlaze TV

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney went on MSNBC to talk about Obama’s ‘pivot’ to the economy but dug himself a hole when referring to the IRS and other scandals as ‘pretend’ scandals. His big evidence? The media has since dropped the stories. Joe Scarborough had a rare moment of sanity and issued a smackdown on Carney.

    M. Carney is clearly a liar. I have missed something: why is this man still talking and not in prison ?

I don’t normally agree with much on the Morning Joe, but surprisingly, this time, he got it right. Jay Carney is a habitual, practiced liar. His skill is formidable, but it does not change the fact that this is not something to be proud of.

Jay Carney is very representative of the disingenuousness of this administration. Never in history has there been a more dishonest, agenda driven president. Never before have we seen a president, with every issue determined to undermine the constitution. He doesn’t even seem to care much if he wins so long as he uses the issues to move the tolerance of the country to the left. He doesn’t care much if he wins because, ultimately, it would gratify him to see his opposition attempt to reset the clock by utilizing his methodology. He is more than willing to sacrifice a few battles in order to win the war. Leftists take a very long view on the ultimate goal and this president’s goal is the destruction of the United States from within.

Jay Carney can laugh all he wants at these issues, but they are not going to just go away. Barack Obama only seems like Teflon. Like Eric Holder, his answer is to wait it out and knows that the liberal press will do all in their power to take the long view as well, but so long as we refuse to let these atrocities die in the minds of the people and our elected officials, we may yet see the Teflon become sandpaper.

I could never have that job.  I was taught to not lie and I believe that telling BS is a lie.  I could not respect someone that can give out stories like this.

Jay Carney – a talking anus

Several years ago I believed the story that if we didn’t approve the increase in spending we would defalt on our bills.  Well, I just realized that was all it was. BS.   We have to balance our checking accounts and we thought we sent responsible people to congress that would be careful with the money we sent to them.  Well, surprise, surprise surprise.  To quote Gommer Plyle.  Were we sand bagged.  Let them run out the clock.  Perhaps we could have a garage sale and sell off some of the perks they keep giving themselvs.  Or gee, maybe live within the budget.  That’s a new idea.

Gee, Mr. Scarborough, looks like maybe you CAN be an actual journalist when you put your mind to it.  Too bad you don’t try it more often.

Even Joe Scarborough gets it even when the Obama worshipers trolling this site can’t. How sad is that? I bet Morning Joe lost all 12 of their viewers.

Now what else would expect from a pretend spokesman of a pretend president?
Everything about Obama’s history, education, marriage, and administration is manufactured by his puppet-masters and he’s just the pretend person at the end of the strings!  But since he has a wooden head he may not be aware that he’s not really in charge of anything.

Well said slkgej6,well said. My question is, when is the big letter “I” (Impeachment) going to be demanded for this idiot we have as president and his minions, I never trusted him and them, and never will.
    God bless and take care.

Romney said he would have focused on the economy, but wouldn’t he have also given the out going administration a presidential pardon? If so, the last six months of scandals may not have come to light if Romney had won. Any other thoughts about the presidential pardoning of the previous administration?

Does Carney walk around with a tube of KY jelly in his pocket in case Obama walks into the room?

excellent, excellent post and it sums up the situation completely.

The BO administration (& press sec.) will continue to refer to the IRS scandal as “pretend” (smiling at the camera) until all hope is gone.  Then the admin. will protest innocence , “I was not informed”,  even as the this reaches to his top appointee. I feel sick at the prospect of what is happening.

Absolutely nothing is exactly what Joe got, after his short feign of outrage he was right back to letting Jay-boy dominate the conversation then moved right back to kissing his sorry punk a**.

Isn’t it about time that this boy child spokesperson of this administration step down?

From my perspective there is a long list of infamous White House Press Secretaries–but Jay Carney may even be less believable than Ron Ziegler (Nixon), Jody Powell ( Carter), George Stephanopoulus (Clinton) and Arie Fleisher (George W) combined. His performance would have caused him to flunk his Communications final in college. Who uses “pretend” in a press briefing?

Apparently, fantasy is big on your list. At no time did Mitt Romney ever broach the subject of a “presidential pardon” for the outgoing administration. Why would they have needed it? They claim to have done nothing wrong, known nothing, or been the cause of anything. This is a rumor and ridiculous.

How big a buffoon is this guy–typical Liberal. If the facts don’t fit your preconceived notions–dismiss or deny them.

If Romney had won, the last six months of scandals simply wouldn’t have existed. You’re pretending to know something when in reality you are making something up.

To call the killing of Ambassador Stevens and three other Americans a phony argument is to demean life itself, just what world this people came from that can be so callous, I recall Hillarys rant of “What difference does it make??) my God, the difference was the lives of those four ,
Americans that were murdered because YOU did not send help!!! May God have mercy on your
rotten soul, you are going to need it eventually!!!!

  • greywolfrs

No administration will prosecute any previous administration. You ask why? Well, they would fear being prosecuted once they left office. It really isn’t rocket science…

  • greywolfrs

Where I agree with your statement, I must disagree with Carney being good at lying. To be good at lying, he would not be seen through so easily. He is simply following the Alinsky Rules, tell a lie enough times….

  • greywolfrs

Impeachment will NOT happen. The problem is the Senate. Hairy Balls would never bring it to vote, much less debate…

  • greywolfrs

Well, Lying is not illegal and he is just parroting what he is told. He has not actually done any the things or even been a part of them. Believe me, it pains me to say this, but Carney has not done anything to be prosecuted for.

    Good point.

I believe you’re correct, although I’ve never seen a president who deserved it more. Perhaps things will change up after the 2014 election cycle.

Carney Jedi mind trick, is finally wearing thin, only weak minds will be fooled.
“These are not the scandals you are looking for. Allow them to pass and go out into nothingness”
Works on the clones otherwise known as the news media, but even clones eventually catch on. Hopefully they retain some of this and decide to think separately for a short while.
