We need more good men such as these.

When I read the book, I was wondering if any of our commanding officers, and others military big wigs were picking up things from Marcus that would aid those doing his job in the future … things like medical syringes or something similar than could knock out a non-combatant for a few hours to up to a day plus perhaps those plastic cuffs that many cops now carry and use … just little things like that but very important things that can affect a mission like it did here. God bless all our troops that are put in harms way because they love America! There is a great deal of history and many, many brave warriors who didn’t make it back alive, like Marcus’ buddies! God bless America, we need it!

“I believe Charlton Heston is America’s best villain because he loves guns so much. Maybe he should get the award for being president of the National Rifle Association.”  “Well, I would love it if they could take all the guns away. Unfortunately, you can’t do that so you hope that good people in the world have them to protect the people who can’t protect themselves.”  “Certainly, I haven’t used a gun anywhere other than on a movie set and I’d like to see if we could take them all away. It would be a beautiful thing.”  –Marky Mark

I wonder how Mr. Luttrell feels about that.

You refer to Mr. Heston as if he is alive…he died in 2008.  Just thought you’d like to know.

This film certainly looks better than Man in the Moon. Was a steaming pile of shit that was.

Did you miss the part where he said good people with guns? He might be talking about the responsible gun owners. I’m not agreeing with him, I’m just wondering what he meant by it. I don’t think he meant cops as he probably would have said law enforcement.
