Oprah made the comparison for one reason:

To ensure the public will remain incensed over the death of Trayvon Martin. In this matter there is no comparison, for the two cases are different as night and day. Oprah is either bigoted or is completely ignorant, no matter which, she has lost all respectability.

We all know how right Glenn was on the Muslim Brotherhood takeover…..

“The hardest thing to explain is the glaringly evident which everybody had decided not to see.”  Ayn Rand

“There are three things you need to know about the Middle East: 1) Egypt is about to collapse 2) Libya is also on the brink and 3) Turkey just gutted it’s military.”

There is more, of course: 4) Iraq is more chaotic now than when Saddam Hussein was the Thug-In-Chief.

    5) Afghanistan is America’s new Vietnam, but the abjectly ignorant masses are too dimly aware of a total failure even though it’s “glaringly evident” .

Just think about all of that money and manpower spent on “bringing democracy” to the Middle East. Stop and F***ing think for a change!

Hello!!! Where are the smelly hippies when you need them? At least the smelly hippies were smart enough to recognize that the Vietnam war was a massive failure and a gross mistake long before the so called “patriots” did.

Hey! All of you patriots who have been angered and duped into fighting for a lost cause! I truly feel sorry for you…… very, very sorry that you are so easily duped into repeating the mistakes of the past……..

When are people going to learn that there are hundreds of millions of people who don’t want amerikan democracy? They don’t want you, amerika! They want theocracy! They scream for “Allah!  Allahu Akbar! Death to amerika!”

vietnam was not a war it was a police action. we lost every police action because a police action is to resume peace with no real winner just calm while a war is to fight to win.

    Ken:

Who are trying to fool? Yourself?

Be honest with yourself, Ken, and keep it real. Go and research the war with Vietnam and look, for example, how much ordnance was dropped..

I personally spoke with Robert McNamara, and he told me that the “war” with Vietnam was a mistake.

Really, some of you people need to come to grips with reality. You are so clueless that you’re dangerous.

    Why?

Because your ignorance is their power!

“During 1965, over 200,000 American soldiers were sent to South Vietnam, and in 1966, 200,000 more. By early 1968, there were more than 500,000 American troops there, and the US Air Force was dropping bombs at a rate unequalled in history.”

Do the above facts sound like a war or a “police action” ?

just because war and police actions use many of the same tactics, weapons and result in large numbers of casualties does not mean that they they are the same. it’s the goal of the mission that make the difference. a war is fought to destroy the opponent while a police action is only to disperse them from the area. in war you take an area and secure and hold it as your possession while a police action you take the area disperse the opponents then abandon the area. this is why police actions don’t work. a police action is used for small civil disturbances in small area not for large disturbances in large areas. most solders could not understand why they had to take an area only to abandon it so the opponents would retake it so we would have to retake it from them again and again, over and over. this is because they are trained for war not police actions. when our military became dragged into police actions it destroyed our military in both it’s ability and power and it’s morale. the facts are that it’s the goal of the mission not how it’s achieved. you cannot win a police action because the goal is not to win but to disperse and break up. you can call it a war because it is the same tactics, but that is as ignorant as saying that a corvette is the same as a honda accord because they use many of the same type of parts.

these two, do they even know what they are talking about?  The court case in Turkey sentenced army officers, journalists and mafia heads as they were responsible for organising what Turks call the “deep state”.  Which was a core organisation that ran the country through, extortion, assassination, torture, etc… for years.  These people were responsible for human rights violations against Kurdish minorities, religious and conservative people, and anyone they thought as a threat to their power.  Violations including mass murdering Kurds and disposing their corpses in acid pits.

What I don’t get is Glenn constantly cries about how the secular agenda is destroying the liberties of the religious in US but when it comes to Turkey, the oppressor of religious liberties, the ultra-secular army is the hero.

    “Turkey just gutted it’s military”

LOL. If you come to our country, Mr. Beck, the least you can do is learn how to use our English language correctly.
