Buck Sexton breaks down the terror concerns in Sochi and the Russian security apparatus

TheBlaze’s national security editor Buck Sexton joined Glenn on Tuesday’s Glenn Beck Program to discuss the history of Russia’s security apparatus. There have been serious terror concerns surrounding the Winter Olympics given the geopolitical location of Sochi. The Sochi games are really a showdown between Russian President Vladimir Putin’s massive security apparatus and some of the most vicious and capable jihadist-terrorists in the world.

To begin, Buck and Glenn discussed the power of Russia’s FSB. Similar to the U.S. FBI, the FSB is a secret police that is not afraid to play dirty. There are no rules, as the FSB operates a total surveillance state and has a “huge” security presence in Sochi.

So what does the future hold? Most people do not understand the scope of the terror Russia has faced in the aftermath of the fall of the Soviet Union, and Buck believes a terror attack would actually work to further consolidate power and influence for Putin, much in the way the horrific Beslan hostage crisis did in 2004.

Wow!!! That was informative if I had read it years ago. Russia has problems with displacement of Turks, Uzbeki’s and most of the “Musli-stan countires because the way they treated them in the cold war. Buck, you might want to study a little of the muslim problem China faces. That place could implode real soon.

Hey there Buck “Buckaroo” Sexton! How about that Saudi student you and Beck framed as a terrorist? He’s still innocent you A-holes. I wonder how many millions Beck had to cough up to make that go away. LOL

I was looking at my son’s World History Book (7th Grade), and for the 20th Century it Glorifies Socialism and Communism and Downplays Capitalism. It has a timeline that quotes Soviet Events (including Stalin and Lenin as heroes of their nation), it has China listed as becomming the New World Power (and dates of their Revolution and Taking Control). The only thing listed under the U.S. was Armstrong walking on the moon! Nothing about how we changed the Fate of the World during WWII or any other major event where America was Really the Good Guys!!!

Indoctrination… Indoctrination… INDOCTRINATION!!! Of Our Children to make them them their slaves! I teach my kids to understand that they are being played against the Constitution and Civil Liberties… I don’t have time to make money to pay bills and teach my kids at home! So, I do what I can for now to help them make better judgements about politics and how it affects them.

Please, those of you that have Kids in School or College take a look at their books and what they are studying!!! Don’t go into the darkness blind also…

No one should be their. I mean it is Russia for one thing who has a history of human rights violations all the way up to today. Terrorist if you are not killed by the yellow water and open manhole covers. I mean why did the pick backwards country to do this in?

The FBI said nothing about Abdulrahman Alharbi. He’s innocent and always was. He’s just a kid from a small town who came to the US to better himself. Smarten up.

Has your son’s school accepted the use of “Common Core “?

You are complaining about Russia being a backward country ?

  • Francisco Ringoli

Peace and prosperity do not exist because of democratic methods, but because citizens are guided by respectable laws aligned with morality.

They are working on integrating it…

The same indoctrination has hapened i most other countries. If you peak to people in Russia today, they show great pride in their country, until you start discussing Russian culture. That’s when they talk gibberish as they don’t connect Russia’s transformation from their cultural heritage to where they are today.
