From TheBlaze: Judge Grants ‘Permanent’ Custody of Justina Pelletier to State Agency

Breaking news Tuesday afternoon on a story TheBlaze has been following for months, as a Massachusetts judge has ruled that Justina Pelletier will remain in “permanent” custody of Massachusetts Department of Children and Families. Look for Glenn’s reaction to the news Wednesday on The Glenn Beck Radio program, and continue to follow for more updates.

TheBlaze’s Liz Klimas reports:

A Massachusetts judge ruled Tuesday that the Connecticut teen in the middle of a contentious custody battle between her parents and the state will remain in the “permanent” custody of the Massachusetts Department of Children and Families, according to the Boston Globe.

With this ruling by Boston juvenile court Judge Joseph Johnson, it will be up to the Department of Children and Families to decide if and when 15-year-old Justina Pelletier is returned to her parents’ custody.

Lou and Linda Pelletier have been fighting to regain custody of their daughter after it was taken by the DCF under allegations of medical child abuse 14 months ago.

    Message: State to all Parents
We own your children and we do with them whatever we please. If you try to advocate for yourselves, we will punish you more. We, the DCF, also own the spineless judges, who cannot make us do anything.

    • Draxx

I live in Oregon and two years ago they passed one of the absolute worst laws against parents and individuals…
They passed a law that will allow the State to Sterilize (Control Births) of anyone that is 14 years or older, if the state believes that they are Unfit to be a parent (what unfit is, is very vague) without the need for Parental Consent for the procedures (which can include a hystarectomy of that is what they feel is necessary)! If This Does Not Piss You Off Then You MIght As Well Sign Your Kids Over To The State For Custody, because we no longer have rights to take care of our childrens health decisions!!!

Liberal judge/state smacks down conservative family values.

The judge further ordered the Pelletiers not to shop at Hobby Lobby in the future.

I truly believe that these are the end times, but not for rational
liberty loving conservative folks like ourselves. Oh no….no…no…no.
These are the end times for the progressive socialist communist left
wing wackos. Why do I feel this way? I feel this way because they see
that the American people are fed up with this type of behavior from our
government and the media and we are starting to fight back. The left is in
desperation mode, watching their power slowly slipping out of their
grasp, kicking and flailing about trying to cause as much confusion and
instill as much fear into the American public as possible, but the more
they do, the harder we fight back and that is something the left just
cannot deal with. As long as we keep up the fight and keep turning up
the heat, we will win, not might win but WILL WIN!
    It is a simple
fact of numbers….there are more of us that there are of them and they
understand that we understand this. Every time I turn on my TV or tune
into iheart radio and I hear the voice of the BLAZE, I thank the Lord
for allowing the BLAZE to broadcast for one more day. The truth truly
    does live here! FREE JUSTINA!!!

Can anyone share what they know about the history of the Pelletier family?

    • Finch

Bingo! The people who don’t know anything about anything are usually the most outraged. Those people keep on screaming in stead of exercising critical thinking and investigating the actual facts. And here’s where clowns like Beck turn from funny to dangerous, as they feed this uniformed outrage. I keep seeing comments on the Blaze about taking up arms and all that garbage, this is sheer lunacy.

      • Crassus

I have to agree with you here that there’s more to the story than what Glenn Beck and company are telling. It’s got to be more than a disagreement over treatment methods between the family and the doctors. I can’t say that I am outraged by the judge’s decision here because he might, and I repeat might, have been doing the right thing. I just don’t know. I don’t think we’ve been getting the entire story from either side.

        • Guest

There is much more actually provided by the Blaze as this story is an update, with the preceding stories and on air discussions having far more information and detail than I provided here.

      • NotPayingAttentionTax

The Blaze investigative staff spent at least 6 months digging before going public, according to GB, so basically you assume that they are lying, and want to have the “truth” uncovered to discredit their news service? Bingo! there is an agenda, but it isn’t The Blaze trying to put egg on its face. The truth here is the corrupt relationship between DCF, Massachusetts (Judges and politicians) and Harvard (the Hospital). Remember that there were already scandals at DCF and that this hospital has been implicated in similar cases, couple that with the too cozy relationship in government and the court will continue pointing the “finger of fear” in an obvious Alinsky tactic, unless or until the public is sufficiently outraged when learning what is being covered up, which is the point of the agenda here, to cover this up or legitimize it. Also remember the family’s other daughter was similarly treated by the same original staff in Connecticut; did the original staff “go along with medical abuse…..” then get hired by Boston Childrens Hospital, the ones saying the family is doing something wrong………..

So different judges who have ruled against the family are what, mad, bought off, scared by the state? What is the motive? It just doesn’t make any sense. I don’t care what Becks “investigative team” has or hasn’t done, as Beck and his people have zero credibility for the sane people of this world. He’s consonantly spewing total crap and the more sensation he can get out of the story the better. The Boston Globe articles about the story, which can at least be called actual journalism, were full of red flags on the parents’ part. I’m not claiming that no mistakes were made on the other side, but the fact that the judge ruled this way even AFTER the story became public thanks to the Blaze and FOX tells me that the story is more complicated than “THE STATE IS STEALING OUR KIDS, OMG!”.

So you can’t share what you know about the history of the Pelletier family?

As with most cases, none of us know all the facts. The Judge’s opinion contains enough findings to make everyone question both sides of the story.
As I suggested last week, the involvement of Liberty Counsel would not sit well with the Judge and it backfired on the Pelletiers–the media seeking Liberty Counsel’s pleadings undercut the agreement between the parents and the guardian ad litem. While we sympathize with the parents, and it is difficult to imagine the loss of a child, it is clear they also did not do their cause any good. Equally puzzling is the astonishing failure of Connecticut to take jurisdiction of the case, which would have brought Justina within 20 minutes of their home.
Pray for the child and the family; pray for a healing and after a course correction, a return home.

a total disgrace Justina belongs where her family says not the state DANGER take care of ur kids yourself trust your decisions not the state anymore

Truly psychotics in the Judicial System anymore.. There is no Justice for families.. There is only the delusional belief that a system who cannot even fix itself can fix all your needs…

    Pretty pathetic….

  • landofaahs

This “could” be the way of the judge washing his hands of it and letting the Dept of children and families take the heat and potential lawsuit.

  • Connor

    This is a good thing.

I said it before (an earlier post disappeared)…I wonder if there is some medical miracle within this little girl from which the government/hospital want to benefit. Think of Henrietta Leaks.

  • Anonymous

I have the freightening feeling that Justina and other children are being used as “lab rats/monkeys” to be discarded when they finish with their experiments on them!

I have the feeling that you watch too much television and Alex Jones.
