The 2016 Republican National Convention is headed to…

Earlier this week, Republican National Committee Chairman Reince Priebus announced Cleveland, Ohio will host the 2016 Republican National Convention besting Dallas, Texas.

“As goes Ohio, so goes the presidential race,” Priebus said Tuesday on Fox News. Preibus also said the RNC is hoping to secure a June 28 or July 18 start date for the convention — significantly earlier than the 2012 convention, which was held in late August in Tampa, Florida.

While Ohio is certainly an important swing state, is Cleveland the best choice for a host city? On Tuesday’s Real News, Will Cain and S.E. Cupp had a spirited debate about the pros and cons of Cleveland.

What can you say about a city whose river was once declared a fire hazard and once elected Dennis Kucinich as its Mayor? Cleveland, City of Light, City of Magic. Burn on, big river.

Snore. Young people don’t care where the Convention is. They want jobs and a party they can believe in.

Kansas City or Denver would have been a smarter choice. Both are purple states and easier to secure for the GOP than Ohio.

You all are wrong! Cleveland has a huge young, liberal art and music crowd. Yes there are a lot of older sections, but Cleveland the city is not “Cleveland”. Cleveland is an entire area of Ohio and trust me this is big for the GOP. They need to swing this state back and its the young art crowd that has swung it the wrong direction. The E. 4th st Restaurant district is young and growing. The west side market is a very unique place near the warehouse dining district. Cleveland is long past burining rivers and Dennis K. Come visit, then mock!

the title is misleading but here is an article to show why bringing a real positive conservative view to Cleveland is the right thing to do….http://thinkprogress.org/election/2014/07/08/3457689/rnc-2016-cleveland/

Yes to Denver, I live in Denver, it would sever the GOP well to to head here.

Those collectivist demands that cloak the anti-social passion of envy behind a label of “social justice” have become a threat to liberty.
