OMG! Rick Santorum is Religious!?

Back in 2008, you know …when everyone was excited for all that hope and change we’re experiencing now, Rick Santorum gave a speech where he basically said ‘Satan has targeted America,’ and it had the mainstream media freaking out.

Which Glenn backed up with, “Satan has targeted America …and all free people.” That’s right mainstream media, Glenn is religious too!

It's hard to understand what the big deal is with that comment. Like Pat later says, "I saw the headline, and I thought so what. In a speech in 2008 he said that Satan targeted America. Is there anybody that doesn't believe that."

In a country where over 95% of Americans believe in some type of higher power, how the media manages to make such a big deal out of Santorum's comments in mind-blowing. Well, whether it is shocking or not, people are going to ask him about it, and that's what happened yesterday.

After a speaking event, Rick Santorum was talking to people in a crowd, and someone came up to him and asked about his comments. This is how he responded, “These are questions that are not relevant to what’s being discussed in America today. What’s being discussed is how to get America growing. That’s what my speeches are about. We’re going to talk about it this campaign. If they want to dig up old speeches, go ahead and do so, but I’m going to stay on message, and talk about creating jobs, a safer and secure country….”

(Sounds like someone may have been listening to the radio show yesterday… - "Sarcastic" Sara)

Glenn would have gone even further had he been in Santorum’s shoes. Glenn continued on Santorum’s points with, “We all care about faith, and I stand by everything I've said in those speeches. But you know what how about let's get people jobs. How about let's fix our energy problem. How about we worry about the wars on the horizon. How about we do this. How about we elect a President that doesn't have his wife over in Aspen 28 days after she was just over in Hawaii with him, and then he returns home because she's got an emergency band appointment at the White House. “

…which is just one reason why Glenn is unelectable.

Sen. Ted Cruz: NOBODY should be afraid of Trump's Supreme Court justice pick

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-Texas) joined Glenn Beck on the radio program Wednesday to weigh in on President Donald Trump's potential Supreme Court nominees and talk about his timely new book, "One Vote Away: How a Single Supreme Court Seat Can Change History."

Sen. Cruz argued that, while Congressional Democrats are outraged over President Trump's chance at a third court appointment, no one on either side should be afraid of a Supreme Court justice being appointed if it's done according to the founding documents. That's why it's crucial that the GOP fills the vacant seat with a true constitutionalist.

Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) joined Glenn Beck on the radio program Wednesday to talk about why he believes President Donald Trump will nominate Judge Amy Coney Barrett to fill the Supreme Court vacancy created by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death.

Lee, a member of the Senate Judiciary Committee that will consider and vote on the nominee, also weighed in on another Supreme Court contender: Judge Barbara Lagoa. Lee said he would not be comfortable confirming Lagoa without learning more about her history as it pertains to upholding the U.S. Constitution.

This week on the Glenn Beck Podcast, Glenn spoke with Vox co-founder Matthew Yglesias about his new book, "One Billion Americans: The Case for Thinking Bigger."

Matthew and Glenn agree that, while conservatives and liberals may disagree on a lot, we're not as far apart as some make it seem. If we truly want America to continue doing great things, we must spend less time fighting amongst ourselves.

'A convenient boogeyman for misinformation artists': Why is the New York Times defending George Soros?

On the "Glenn Beck Radio Program" Tuesday, Glenn discussed the details of a recent New York Times article that claims left-wing billionaire financier George Soros "has become a convenient boogeyman for misinformation artists who have falsely claimed that he funds spontaneous Black Lives Matter protests as well as antifa, the decentralized and largely online, far-left activist network that opposes President Trump."

The Times article followed last week's bizarre Fox News segment in which former House Speaker Newt Gingrich appeared to be censored for criticizing Soros (read more here). The article also labeled Glenn a "conspiracy theorist" for his tweet supporting Gingrich.
