Mitt Romney is having a real problem connecting with the American people. Despite a wealth of personal success and more than enough money to get his message out there, Romney still cannot seem to get in touch with the American people. And what's worse, he has no idea how to deliver a response to "He's a rich, greedy, 1%er" without coming off completely out of touch.
Take, for example, his recent appearance on "Megyn Kelly":
Later, while discussing Romney’s wealth-related gaffes, an exasperated-sounding Kelly asked him, “Why do you keep doing that?!”
“Megyn, guess what,” Romney replied. “I made a lot of money. I’ve been very successful. I’m not going to apologize for that. I know the DNC tries to push this out and they get it on the mainstream media networks and that’s where you guys see it and everybody laughs about it. Because, in this country, we want someone who can help other people become successful.”
"Someone has told him the sweet spot in this argument is, hey, tell people in the Republican Party you're proud of your success and there's nothing wrong with that," Stu said.
"It just seems like Mitt Romney speaks these languages not naturally," Stu joked.
Stu likened it to someone translating an email from Nigerian to English - it just sounds wrong. Stu thinks Romney just cannot seem to articulate his argument.
"Mitt. You suck on the rich thing," Glenn added.
"He protects everything he say because he's so afraid of making mistakes," Glenn added.
