The radical left is getting ready for an American Spring, and they are starting to get organized! Glenn spent some time on GBTV Monday night breaking down how all the pieces are fitting together and forming a circle that is only going to get tighter and tighter over the next few weeks. And what are they attacking? The individual and God.
He started off the Washington D.C. “Reason Rally”, where atheists gathered in our nation’s capital in order to fight for their voice to be heard…of course, that voice is one filled with hatred. Take, for example, the performer who received 2nd billing, who dropped 75 F-Bombs in just a couple of minutes, or the people who called Christians ignorant and fearful.
It sounded a lot more like they were trying to pick a fight rather than make a point or promote their beliefs.
Glenn also went to Jimmy Carter, who recently published his own Bible because “we should keep in mind that the basic principles of the Bible are taught by God, but written down by human beings deprived of modern day knowledge. So there is some fallibility in the writings of the Bible.” It’s the typical progressive mindset – those people way back then don’t have the benefit of everything we know today. The Progressives feel like they have to drag people into the future, at the expense of traditional values.
Shifting gears from progressives in the church, Glenn turned his attention to foreign affairs and America’s traditional ally, Israel, which is facing danger from the spread of radicalized Islam in the post-Arab Spring Middle East.
Over the weekend, the AP reported:
Egypt's newly empowered Islamists have tightened their grip, giving themselves a majority on a 100-member panel tasked with drafting a constitution that will define the shape of the government in the post-Hosni Mubarak era.Led by the Muslim Brotherhood to victory in parliamentary elections, fundamentalists now have their eyes set on the next prize: the presidency.
The new constitution will decide whether Islam will gain even more strength in Egypt, abandoning decades of secular traditions that made the nation a top U.S. ally and a bulwark against extremism.
But hey, no one could have ever seen that coming, right? Bill Kristol even came out and said Glenn was inventing these connections and obsessing over a caliphate.
Later in the show, Glenn discussed how chaos is spreading here in America. How about the administration working to organize ex-convicts and help them find jobs? Not inherently bad, but when Van Jones is involved people need to pay attention.
How about Occupy Wall Street taunting police officers? They led a march that was intended to protest police violence, and yet they were seemingly trying to incite the police by calling them “Pigs” and waving donuts in their faces.
It would be easy to look at all these different pieces and ignore the fact that they all have connections. They are all examples of progressive groups trying to push the country further and further into the chaos. These groups destabilize churches, security, and our allies. All of these actions are moving America closer and closer to a point where chaos could ignite, and much like it happened in the Middle East, the spark could spread across America and collapse the country into a progressive structure that has been building for close to a century.
