Van Jones is literally all over the place after being out of the spotlight for a few years after he unceremoniously resigned from the White House after Glenn exposed his radical, communist past. And while he is doing his best to put up a squeaky-clean image in front of the media, there are times when his radical philosophy shines through. Take, for example, his appearance on Russia Today where Jones claimed that libertarians "adopt an extreme ideology that would spit in the face of Dr. King." Really media? It takes Russia Today to expose this guy's radical thoughts?
During the exchange, Jones claimed that the libertarians “hate the people, the brown folk, the gays, the lesbians, the people with piercings and tatoos.”
He added “I think we have to start punching back—fighting back."
Van, it only took you one week until your radical past shined through.
But hey, that just must be American politics. "We like to mix it up," Jones said of his calls for inflammatory comments.
Glenn couldn't take it after a few minutes of listening to the audio saying that a man who calls the Founders and the Constitution racist has no right to be questioning anyone's patriotism. Glenn also said that Van can't complain one minute about the way he was treated when he was exposed as a radical and then brush off his own heated rhetoric as the nature of American politics the next.
Glenn warned the audience that Van Jones is coming out now because he realized that violence in order to bring about social change doesn't work. Now, he is pretending to be more like Martin Luther King, Jr. and spreading the philosophy of green energy in order to get the radical ends that he desires. But underneath it all, he still has the same radical goals in mind as the young man who called for violence. He is just ditching the radical means.
