This is new legislation coming out of parliament in Egypt -- where the Muslim Brotherhood is now running the show. If your wife dies you can have sex with her 6 hours after she’s dead. Oh and they want to allow 14 year old girls to be married off by her parents. This is the same group the President is legitimizing them with meetings at the White House -- this is the real war on women.
The Daily Mail reports:
The controversial new 'farewell intercourse' law was claimed, in Arab media, to be part of a raft of measures being introduced by the Islamist-dominated parliament. They reported it would also see the minimum age of marriage lowered to 14 and the ridding of women's rights of getting education and employment.
...
Egyptian journalist Amro Abdul Samea reported in the al-Ahram newspaper that Talawi complained about the legislations which are being introduced under 'alleged religious interpretations'.
The subject of a husband having sex with his dead wife arose in May 2011 when Moroccan cleric Zamzami Abdul Bari said marriage remains valid even after death.
He also said that women have the right to have sex with her dead husband.
According to Daily Mail sources in the Egyptian Embassy, many officials are claiming the proposed legislation to be false. The reporter noted that the source did say "the proposal, if it even existed, had not reached the parliament - although it was also admitted it could be the work of an extremist politician."
So there you go, it would likely only be introduced by an extremist politician in Egypt. No worries...wait, didn't the Muslim Brotherhood just gain a lot of power over there?
"This is evil. This is absolute evil," Glenn said when he read the story.
Meanwhile, here in America, women are coming under attack. Glenn used the example of Ann Romney, who has been at the center of the 24/7 hour news cycle in recent weeks.
"Journalist" Martin Bashir has even suggested that Mitt Romney is using his wife, who has suffered from MS and cancer, to close the gener gap between himself and President Obama. Essentially, wondering if Romney, who is undeniably a dedicated family man, is using his wife as a political pawn.
Glenn wondered why the mainstream media was creating these controversies out of thin air rather than focus on real threats.
