On radio this morning, The Blaze news report commented on Rubio's decision to block a bill that would prevent the interest rates on student loans from increasing. Rubio claimed that while he, like many people, still has student loan debt to pay off , he doesn't support the proposed Democratic bill. The report sparked a conversation on radio about the out of control costs of colleges and the stigma attached to trade schools and community college.
"You can go to college. You don't have to go to Harvard. Do people know that? You don't have to go to Harvard, you don't have to go to Yale, you don't have to go to Columbia. You can go to a community college and get a decent education. You don't have to ring up that kind of debt. You don't have to do it. You can work your way through school. My brother did. His whole school exist, he paid for as he went to school. And he raised a family at the same time. It can be done," Pat said.
"If we really cared about education, we would be developing new ways to educate people. This system, all we keep doing is just trying to cut the cost of the education system that we have. The educational system is broken," Glenn added.
