Activate: How to turn the 2012 election from a close call to a mandate

Last night, Glenn focused on the importance of commitment. He was the first to admit, a lot of last night's show was something you had heard before - but it's important to start at the beginning and to make sure you know what you believe before you get put into action. And tonight, Glenn revealed ways for you to really get moving!

Tonight, the focus of the show was "Activate" - and it was all about the election and how you can make sure that one way or another - 2012 is a year for a mandate for or against the progressives. And if you think it doesn't matter just take a look at what is happening right now in Wisconsin. Progressives and unions are doing everything they can to make sure that Walker loses. It's a microcosm to what is happening around the country, and Glenn thought it was so important that he recapped it on tonight's show (in under three minutes!):

But why does it matter what is happening in Wisconsin? Because these elections are close, way closer than they should be when you consider the fact that Wisconsin has improved drastically under Scott Walker's leadership. They have lower unemployment than the national average; they've gone up in business and hiring rankings; Wisconsin is even on track for a surplus.

Nevertheless, the elections are still close. Why?

Because people are awake - but they are not activated.

Glenn revealed that there are huge percentages of people who donate to campaigns but aren't registered to vote, or are members of active constitutional and conservative groups that are not registered to vote. And even worse - Glenn said that 14% of people who think they are registered to vote are not actually signed up!

Which brings him to steps 1 and 2 of Activate - 1) Make sure you are registered to vote and help a friend figure out if they are registered to vote. 2) Register four people (or schlubs as Glenn called them) to vote.

"We cannot repeat the hanging chads. Remember that? People were staring at ballots and trying to figure out what the inent of the voter was. And you had dolts coming forward saying the meant to vote for gore but accidentally voted for Bush," Glenn said. "We're even more fractured now than we were after the 2000 election. We can't afford a repeat. If Wisconsin is close -- the DOJ says they'll step in and oversee it. Well, I feel so much better."

"Today we give you a tactile way to be involved that can flip these close numbers into a mandate. It can be done and you are the key. You just have to be commited and activated."

"It's absolutely critical that you get everyone in your circle of influence, who are of like mind, to register and vote. Adopt a schlub. And even if they are registered, remember to make sure they are going to vote. Did you know that of all the registered voters who fail to get out to the polls, the #1 reason why they don't is because they are 'too busy' to go? What could be more important than taking 15 minutes out of your day to go and vote?" Glenn asked.

Glenn then moved onto the third thing you can do to activate - be a part of the global freedom movement that starts at Restoring Love by attending FreePac or the Constitutional Conference. There are people acorss the globe begging Americans for help - you need to get educated and you need to be a part of the solution.

Finally, Glenn encouraged you to join a team of like-minded individuals like the 9/12 ProjectFreedomWorks, or a local Tea Party. They have already made huge strides in elections across the country and can help you in your quest to activate other.

"The election is five months away so this season's races are just heating up. It's not only about the presidential election, your vote counts in all races on a national, state and local level," he said.

Countless leaders on the left are now arguing that removing President Donald Trump from office won't be enough — they're now calling for the president's "cult-like" supporters to be "deprogrammed." And it's not just fringe politicians.

During an appearance on "Real Time with Bill Maher" last week, former NBC anchor Katie Couric said, "The question is, how are we going to really almost deprogram these people who have signed up for the cult of Trump."

Former Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton and Democratic Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi questioned whether the nation needs "a 9/11-type commission" to determine whether President Trump was colluding with Russian President Vladimir Putin "the day that the insurgents invaded our Capitol." Clinton also made sure to include her favorite "deplorables" in her unsubstantiated conspiracy theory:

"But we now know that not just [Trump] but his enablers, his accomplices, his cult members, have the same disregard for democracy," Clinton said to Pelosi.

Washington Post columnist Eugene Robinson and New York Times Magazine's Nikole Hannah-Jones agreed that there is a need for "millions of Americans, almost all white, almost all Republicans" to be deprogrammed and punished, during an MSNBC interview last week.

Now, a story from the Washington Post is also preaching that narrative and even added that we need more restrictions for conservatives on social media and in the broadcast industry.

"So now we have to be deprogrammed? We've heard this over and over and over and over again, for months," said Glenn Beck on the radio program Tuesday. He read through the shocking details of the Washington Post op-ed and discussed the extraordinary dangers of the latest anti-conservative movement in America.

As calls for censorship and restrictions against conservative voices get louder, Glenn Beck said he feels an "awesome responsibility" to speak, not the words he'd personally like to say, but those he believes the Lord would want him to share.

"It's an awesome responsibility, and one that I am not worthy of," Glenn said. "I want to say ... what He wants me to say. And I have to listen very carefully, because I feel the same way you do. But that will get us nowhere."

Glenn said it's time for Americans who are awake — not woke — to come together, no matter which side of the political aisle you're on, and stand with the truth.

"We are the Alamo, we will stand. But we desperately, desperately need you," Glenn said. "We need the people who are awake — not woke — awake. You may disagree with us. We are your allies, not your enemies. And if you will not stand with us in our hour of need, there will be no one left to stand with you in your hour of need. We must all come together, anyone who is awake."

The incoming Biden administration plans to waste no time in overturning much of the progress achieved by President Donald Trump.

On his radio program Monday, Glenn Beck ran through 10 executive orders President Joe Biden plans to announce on "day one" of his time in office — including rejoining the Paris climate accord, canceling the Keystone pipeline, mask mandates on federal land and during interstate travel, and a proposed federal minimum wage of $15 an hour.

Eric Weinstein, managing director of investment firm Thiel Capital and host of "The Portal" podcast, is not a conservative, but he says conservative and center-right-affiliated media are the only ones who will still allow oppositional voices.

On "The Glenn Beck Podcast" this week, Eric told Glenn that the center-left media, which "controls the official version of events for the country," once welcomed him, but that all changed about eight years ago when they started avoiding any kind of criticism by branding those who disagree with them as "alt-right, far-right, neo-Nazi, etc.," even if they are coming from the left side of the aisle. But their efforts to discredit critical opinions don't stop there. According to Eric, there is a strategy being employed to destroy our national culture and make sure Americans with opposing views do not come together.

"We're trifling with the disillusionment of our national culture. And our national culture is what animates the country. If we lose the culture, the documents will not save us," Eric said. "I have a very strongly strategic perspective, which is that you save things up for an emergency. Well, we're there now."

In the clip below, Eric explains why, after many requests over the last few years, he finally agreed to this podcast.
