"The coolest moment of my life"

This morning, Glenn recounted some of his favorite moments from Restoring Love. More than anything, he was excited to see a change in the course of America. While bad things may still be on the horizon, Glenn believes there truly is "good news" coming out this weekend's events.

At the event, Glenn declared the beginning of the Third Great Awakening, calling that moment of the coolest in his life. He said:

Ready to act. Ready to stand. Ready to take up a struggle, to commit, to activate, to live it, to create, to restore love. In our hearts and in America. We will not let go. We will not give up. We are not going to put our cars in neutral. We're not going to do the easy thing. We're not going to coast downhill. We're going to do it the American way. We're going to do it the right way. We're going to do it the hard way. We're going to put our shoulders down and we're going to get behind America and we're going to push. And we're going to push this car up the hill. And know this. Know this, just like this man and this man and that man: Most of us will never see the top of the hill. But that's the way it's always been! They never saw it, either. The difference is they never, ever gave up. And neither will we. Because we are Americans! In the end... in the end, my friend, in the end we will have more than our great name. We will have a great country to pass to our children. A legacy for our children. We won't give up. We will not give up our inheritance. We will not give up the right to feed the hungry! To care for the sick! The right to run a bake sale. We will not give up our right, our responsibility, the work of our hearts, the work we must do, the work we will do because we're already doing it! I will not let go! I will not let go! I will not sit down! I will not comply, because I know, and you know, America is not done! We're just getting started. And let me say this, to anybody who happens to be watching this in some far‑off corner of the world or right around the corner here in America, if you are looking for American weakness, if you're looking for a group of people to sit down and surrender, I invite you to look at this crowd in this stadium!

"That was one of the coolest moments of my life.  And if anybody was there, I'll bet you you say the same thing because it is true.  It's true.  As a guy who has been bringing you the bad news for I don't know how long now, let me bring you the good news:  That is true.  And if you don't know what the Third Great Awakening means, look it up.  Look it up.  People have been praying for it since before Martin Luther King was born.  People have been praying for it, and it's here.  It's here.  It's why we have, I really believe we ‑‑ don't you feel it?  Don't you feel that there's been a turning point in the country?"

"Now, that doesn't mean that God is going to fix everything for us.  We've got real trouble coming our way.  We do.  We have trouble coming our way, but nothing we can't conquer.  Nothing we can't get through.  Americans are awake.  Now, not everybody.  It's each of our jobs to continue to wake people up.  But here's the good news:  We get to wake them up with good news now.  We don't have to wake them up to the impending doom.  We wake them up with the good news.  Spread the news, that Americans are good and so we will be great.  We're exceptional.  If President Obama doesn't understand how exceptional America is, show me the people that without any tragedy gathered by these numbers, served 34,000 people, served, in one weekend, served.  Show me that in the history books.  Never.  Never been done before.  Find it.  Any historian, find it.  It doesn't exist.  And if the media has their way, this won't exist, either.  If the progressive historians have their way, this won't exist, either.  You spread the word."

It's been a tough year, America. Our news media is inundating us with images of destruction, violence, and division in attempts not only to desecrate our nation, but to make us turn our backs on it. That's why now, more than ever, we need to take an up-close look at America's history to remember what it is we're fighting for and how to fight for it with practical action.

"Restoring Hope" has been a labor of love for Glenn and his team and tonight is the night! "Restoring the Covenant" was supposed to take place in Boston, New York, Philadelphia, Gettysburg and Washington D.C. but thanks to COVID-19, that plan had to be scrapped. "Restoring Hope" is what was left after having to scrap nearly two years of planning. The Herald Journal in Idaho detailed what the event was supposed to be and what it turned into. Glenn Beck discusses patriotic, religious program filmed at Idaho ranch

On July 2, commentator Glenn Beck and his partners will issue a challenge from Beck's corner of Franklin County to anyone who will listen: "Learn the truth, commit to the truth, then act on the truth."

Over the last few weeks, he has brought about 1,000 people to his ranch to record different portions of the program that accompanies the challenge. On June 19, about 400 members of the Millennial Choir and Orchestra met at West Side High School before boarding WSSD buses to travel to a still spring-green section of Beck's ranch to record their portion of the program.

The current riots and movement to erase America's history are exactly in line with the New York Times' "1619 Project," which argues that America was rotten at its beginning, and that slavery and systemic racism are the roots of everything from capitalism to our lack of universal health care.

On this week's Wednesday night special, Glenn Beck exposed the true intent of the "1619 Project" and its creator, who justifies remaking America into a Marxist society. This clever lie is disguised as history, and it has already infiltrated our schools.

"The '1619 Project' desperately wants to pass itself off as legitimate history, but it totally kneecaps itself by ignoring so much of the American story. There's no mention of any black Americans who succeeded in spite of slavery, due to the free market capitalist system. In the 1619 Project's effort to take down America, black success stories are not allowed. Because they don't fit with the narrative. The role of white Americans in abolishing slavery doesn't fit the narrative either," Glenn said.

"The agenda is not ultimately about history," he added. "It's just yet another vehicle in the fleet now driven by elites in America toward socialism."

Acclaimed environmentalist and author of "Apocalypse Never" Michael Shellenberger joined Glenn Beck on the radio program Wednesday to warn us about the true goals and effects of climate alarmism: It's become a "secular religion" that lowers standards of living in developed countries, holds developing countries back, and has environmental progress "exactly wrong."

Michael is a Time "Hero of the Environment," Green Book Award winner, and the founder and president of Environmental Progress. He has been called a "environmental guru," "climate guru," "North America's leading public intellectual on clean energy," and "high priest" of the environmental humanist movement for his writings and TED talks, which have been viewed more than 5 million times. But when Michael penned a stunning article in Forbes saying, "On Behalf of Environmentalists, I Apologize for the Climate Scare", the article was pulled just a few hours later. (Read more here.)

On the show, Micheal talked about how environmental alarmism has overtaken scientific fact, leading to a number of unfortunate consequences. He said one of the problems is that rich nations are blocking poor nations from being able to industrialize. Instead, they are seeking to make poverty sustainable, rather than to make poverty history.

"As a cultural anthropologist, I've been traveling to poorer countries and interviewing small farmers for over 30 years. And, obviously there are a lot of causes why countries are poor, but there's no reason we should be helping them to stay poor," Michael said. "A few years ago, there was a movement to make poverty history ... [but] it got taken over by the climate alarmist movement, which has been focused on depriving poor countries, not just of fossil fuels they need to develop, but also the large hydroelectric dams."

He offered the example of the Congo, one of the poorest countries in the world. The Congo has been denied the resources needed to build large hydroelectric dams, which are absolutely essential to pull people out of poverty. And one of the main groups preventing poor countries from the gaining financing they need to to build dams is based in Berkeley, California — a city that gets its electricity from hydroelectric dams.

"It's just unconscionable ... there are major groups, including the Sierra Club, that support efforts to deprive poor countries of energy. And, honestly, they've taken over the World Bank [which] used to fund the basics of development: roads, electricity, sewage systems, flood control, dams," Micheal said.

"Environmentalism, apocalyptic environmentalism in particular, has become the dominant religion of supposedly secular people in the West. So, you know, it's people at the United Nations. It's people that are in very powerful positions who are trying to impose 'nature's order' on societies," he continued. "And, of course, the problem is that nobody can figure out what nature is, and what it's not. That's not a particular good basis for organizing your economy."
