Another day, another mainstream media fail.
"We want to congratulate Richard Paul Evans for the number one Nielsen BookScan book in the country. Of course, the New York Times put him at number two, which is strange. That's now the third book from me and Mercury Ink that just, no matter what the numbers say, just cannot be number one," Glenn said.
The New York Times uses their own "formula" to determine their bestseller list and do not automatically put the book that sold the most copies at the top of the list. Glenn has decided to now use Nielsen BookScan instead, as they just count the number of copies that were actually sold.
"(The New York Times) just discredited themselves in such an incredible fashion that it's just not even worth thinking about anymore," Glenn said.
