Today begins Glenn's "40 day, 40 night challenge" leading up to the election, and Glenn appears to be off to a rough start.
"It's like Fat Tuesday morning," Glenn said this morning. "Because I'm going to give up — I'm going to give up all sweets and ice cream."
Of course Stu couldn't help but notice Glenn was already halfway through a milkshake.
"I'm not doing it today," Glenn fired back.
Stu quickly noticed that there are only 39 days until the election, and Glenn said he was participating in 40 days of fasting and prayer.
"Weren't you supposed to do it 40 days before the election?" he asked Glenn. "You're not fasting. You're drinking a shake for breakfast. That's so far the opposite of fasting - that's like intentionally violating all of the Ten Commandments at once."
Glenn defended himself by claiming he "hadn't decided" what he was going to give up until this morning. (writers note: we're still not sure how not deciding until this morning justifies Glenn's choice of a milkshake for breakfast…)
After continuing to get hounded by Stu, Glenn put the option of giving up paying Stu for his "40 day, 40 night challenge."
"That does not make you righteous," Stu responded.
The verdict isn't out yet on Glenn's decision to give off ice cream or paying Stu, but one thing is certain, this morning Glenn didn't seemed to have a lot of interest in giving up ice cream.
