It just wouldn't be a Monday if Glenn wasn't on camera warning his New York office that things were about to collapse and they needed to get to Texas. Not even a back injury could keep Glenn from coming on radio and telling the New York branch that if the storm didn't get them, the inevitable breakdown in the food supply and the subsequent rioting would surely result in their untimely demise. Of course, in case anyone missed his message he made sure to broadcast it out to millions of people listening and watching from home, which then led to several employees getting calls from their families asking why they didn't listen to Glenn in the first place and get out of town before all the food was gone, the tunnels were closed, the subways shut down, and the planes were grounded.
It's still unclear whether or not Glenn would have issued such an ominous warning to his New York staff if Hurricane Sandy was not a threat. Rumor has it he has a series of possible doomsday scenarios ready at the start of each week to inspire/terrify his employees. Some of the events include: Giant rat/alligator hybrids in the sewers, Zombie Apocalypse, Obama/Biden 2012 victory, Bloomberg's fourth term, and simply "Van Jones".
