Yesterday, TheBlaze.com reported on an ominous warning from Sun News Network anchor and friend of TheBlaze Brian Lilley…
Living in Canada, Sun News Network anchor Brian Lilley has already seen where seemingly innocent gun control measures can lead. During a news broadcast this week, Lilley warned Americans that gun registration led to gun confiscation in Canada, and the same thing will happen in the U.S. if citizens don’t defend their Second Amendment rights.
Lilley also told the story of Ian Thompson, who was charged for defending himself with a firearm against four men firebombing his home in Canada.
“We are at a state in Canada where they don’t want you using firearms for anything. Ever,” Lilley said. “That’s the push. And as we look at what’s happening in the United States, that’s what’s happening.”
He went on: “So I’ve got a warning to my American friends: Registration will lead to confiscation. And if you don’t believe me, just look at what’s happened here.”

This morning on radio, after playing the clip, Glenn couldn't help but agree with his friend north of the border.
"That's what will happen," he responded.
Like Lilley noted, the Obama administration is currently pushing for a national gun registry in the United States. This is what he believes will ultimately lead to the confiscation of guns. Lilley's warning isn't simply rhetoric like most will accuse. After all, he does live in a nation that ignored such warnings at the expense of gun owners.
This morning on radio, Glenn noted that the argument against this will be that 'our government would never go door-to-door and confiscate things…these are "reasonable" people'.
Okay, fair enough. But that's not Lilly's warning is really saying. It's the progressive restrictions that will lead to the loss of American's rights to bear arms.
"Bit by bit through legislation. Bit by bit you say: 'Well, you can't have these magazines. So turn them in. Well, you can't have that gun, so turn it in. You can't also have that gun, turn it in'," Glenn explained.
"And if we find that you didn't turn it in, there's a massive penalty like $10,000 or six months in prison or something like that," Pat added.
Glenn went on to explain that as "crazy" as this may sound, this type of executive action has already occurred in America, citing FDR's executive order on gold from the 1930's.
"They just took your gold," he told listeners. "You turn your gold in and if you don't, it's ten years in prison. And that's what they will do. I mean, you don't think they will confiscate guns? Of course they will. Of course they will. All they need is an event. All they need is trouble."
Americans tend to assume that they're always dealing with "reasonable" people in Washington. But Glenn raised the all important question today regarding the lawmakers in Congress and the White House this morning…
"What makes you think these guys are going to respect your rights?"
