Rand Paul's CPAC speech may not have lasted 13 hours yesterday, but it did send a similarly powerful message. Paul took on the President, the government's out-of-control spending, and even "old", "stale", "moss covered" Republicans that shall not be named…but we all have a pretty good guess who he is talking about.
Possibly one of the most important things that Paul addressed was what he calls, "the Facebook generation." Sen. Rand Paul understand that this generation is completely up for grabs. They don't want to be lied to -- they want the truth -- and they're not getting it from the Republicans or the Democrats. What's his solution to save the Grand Ol' Party?
"Our party is encumbered by an inconsistent approach to freedom. The new GOP will need to embrace liberty in both the economic and personal sphere. If we're going to have a Republican Party that can win, liberty needs to be the backbone of the GOP. We must have a message that is broad, our vision must be broad, and that vision must be based on freedom."
