On last night’s Wilkow! Andrew took a deeper look into a group that Glenn has been talking about for years – the Weather Underground.
Glenn has helped to make people like Bill Ayers and Bernadine Dohrn household names by exposing the radical underpinnings of the group, while Hollywood and the liberal elite have sought to glamorize the domestic terrorist organization with movies like Robert Redford’s The Company You Keep and hiring convicted murderers and former Weathermen to cushy campus positions (a la Kathy Boudin at Columbia University).
Yesterday, Andrew sat down with Larry Grathwohl, author and subject of “Bring Down America: An FBI Informer with the Weathermen.” Grathwohl was an informant for the FBI in 1969 and traveled with the Weathermen as they went underground in 1970. Grathwohl was involved in schemes to blowup police stations and a power plant.
Watch Grathwohl explain how he found himself entrenched with the Weathermen and the extreme ideology of the group’s members in the clips below.
