Even when Chris Matthews is unhappy with President Obama, he still fawns all over him. That's right, Chris Matthews leg "thrills" were nowhere to be found during the President's speech yesterday in Berlin.
Don't worry though, it wasn't Obama's fault…according the Matthews anyway.
So who was to blame for Obama's flat performance? Mother Nature, of course.
"Chris Matthews said the problem was the sun," Glenn told his radio audience. "He couldn't use the teleprompter — the sun in his eyes, so he couldn't — I think he said that epic sweep that he usually has.  Unbelievable."
Yeah…the sun is at fault…it's not like any president has ever had to speak outside on a sunny day before.
Thank goodness the sun didn't impact Glenn…or any of the other speakers who address the Tea Party gathering outside the Capitol yesterday — which attract a crowd estimated at 15,000. (That's 9,000 more than were said to be at the President's speech yesterday.
"Put that in perspective. For the speech the Tea Party patriots did in what should, they had three times the crowd that the president did in Germany," Glenn said. "Hello. Three times the crowd than the President of the United States in Germany. By the way, 1/100th of the crowd he had last time.)"
